I dont even know where to begin with this one....
First let me say, I am from Chicago.. born and raised.. so maybe I am a little spoiled when it comes to knowing what good food tastes like... especially Italian food..
I stayed nearby at the Hilton Garden Inn and my large group and I (about 15 of us) decided to go for a day time walk on a Saturday and see the sights.. Being that it was late afternoon and we hadn't eaten lunch.. we wanted something quick.
We decided to stop in at this little gem (insert strong sarcasm here)..
Upon walking in... There was already mass confusion.
The place is set up like a cafeteria where you grab a tray (some that had puddles of water on them) and you tell the employees what you wanted.
I ordered a hot sausage sandwich and a breadstick that came with some marinera sauce. My daughter ordered their special which was a baked ziti, side salad, drink and garlic bread.
After getting our food (some which was delivered to my table five minutes later) we headed to sit down at the table.
Upon getting to the table, my daughters tray slid off the table and onto her lap spilling her ziti and salad all over her lap and onto the floor. Luckily, the ziti was cold and the cheese had completely set from sitting out for so long.
I went up to the front, apologized to the employees and told them there was an accident and wanted to get the same order.
I told the woman (blonde Eastern European) what happened and said "Its okay if I just take this right?" She demanded that I pay. I told her what happened was an accident and she said "thats not my problem. I am not the one that spilled it all over the floor"... FURIOUS. Told the lady she is nuts and went to get my wallet.
A woman in my group overheard what was going on and went to the counter to complain. The blonde woman (who turned out to be the owner) said that it wasn't her problem and wanted us to pay. "Too bad" she said. After the woman I was with let her have it, the owner just said "fine.. take take"..
I sat across the table from someone who had a slice of pizza and gagged at the puddles of grease that she was trying to sop up with a napkin on  top of her slice. gross.
While leaving, the other woman asked who she was and we were told the owner. We told them that this was the worst customer service that we had ever seen and they have no business or right to treat there customers as trash.
I HIGHLY suggest you walk around the corner and go to Potbellys (which I originally wanted to in the first place)... or just dont eat at all..
The food was not even average. I would rather have eaten that napkin with the grease all over it.
How this place is open in the downtown area is beyond me. Shame shame shame.

Amazing pizza! Been going here a long time. I love this pizza, best in city.

The pizza is fairly decent here and, because of the ease of getting in to get food, I would like to frequent this place more often.  However, I rarely go to this place because one of the regular employees here likes to hit on female customers that he finds attractive.  I get tired of having to ignore his comments and stares--I get the sense that the other employees think his behavior is funny which is why his behavior has carried on for so long.  [This has not been a one-time occurrence.  I've visited this place off-and-on occasionally for a couple of years and the employee has been there for a long time.  I'm fairly certain that he doesn't remember me from past visits and that he likely does this to a lot of women who visit.]  There have been many nights where, when taking a break from working late, I walked right on past this place to one of the many other nearby restaurants in my search for dinner because I did not feel like dealing with this employee.  As there are other places I can get pizza by the slice in Downtown Indy, I'm luckily not harmed by keeping this on my future "reject" list.
