Live jazz brunch! Never experienced that before. Came here for Sunday brunch with two of my friends. They had a GiltCity deal to use and I ordered a la carte on top of it. We all did the bottomless mimosas as well.

We had reservations at 11:00AM and we didn't actually need them, the place wasn't very crowded. We were seated in the bar area (which was FREEZING!) Strong AC! Our server Brandon, was very friendly and very nice and we got our first mimosas right away. We ordered:

    - Beignets - bite sized pieces of dough, very fluffy and generously sprinkled with powdered sugar.
    - Biscuits and gravy - very dense biscuits, gravy is delicious!
    - Etoufee Omelette - huge and very flavorful! Loved the spicy sausage and seafood pieces.
    - Duck confit hash - my friend asked for fried eggs instead and made her own has. Also very good.
    - Crab cake benedict - Crab cakes were yum! Not too much filler.

Portions are HUGE! We all ended up taking our food home and the bottomless mimosas are great! Brandon gave us refills whenever we asked and we definitely took advantage of the bottomless portion. They close at 2:30 and we were basically kicked out because of that, but in the nicest way possible.

Great, friendly service! Live music and bottomless mimosas! Awesome place to have brunch!

Found a seemingly great deal on Gilt City LA and bought a $30 voucher for 4 cocktails and 4 appetizers for 2 people.  Score, yeah? Yeah...sorta. I had called ahead and made a reservation and informed the hostess that I had this voucher. However, when my husband and I showed up, it's as if no one had taken my information down.  We were initially seated in the bar, but then the hostess came back and told us she had a table ready.  However, once we were greeted by our server, and we explained that we had a Gilt City coupon, he said, "Oh, no, no, you can't sit in the dining area.  You can only sit at the bar."  So...we were moved a second time, BACK to the bar table we were previously sitting at.  I'm already irritated.

Once RE-seated, the bartender came by and asked what we wanted to drink.  We told him about our coupon and he said "Oh, well you actually can't order any food off the dinner menu, you have to order off the happy hour menu."  Ok.  So he brought over a happy hour menu and informed us that we can order any cocktail or glass of wine or beer we want for our 4 drinks.  He showed us on the back of the dinner menu the wine and cocktail options, and left us to make our choices. A different bartender came to take our drink orders, and when we both ordered specialty cocktails off the dinner menu, she says "Oh...I'm sorry but you can only get well cocktails.  And there are only 3 wines you can choose from...and 3 (shitty) domestic beers."  Umm...ok.  I decided to order a Cab and my husband ordered a whisky sour.   My wine surprisingly good considering it was a happy hour selection, but the whisky sour was more sour than whisky.  For our second drink, I got the Pinot Noir, again pretty good wine, and my husband ordered a dirty martini.  They made it extra wet, and it was, in general, a so-so drink.

As far as the food is concerned, we ordered the smoked salmon, the bruschetta, the pork belly sliders and the figs with goat cheese.  the salmon was an extraordinarily small portion, and had entirely too much acid.  The bruschetta was one, singular toasted piece of bread with chickpea hummus or something on it, with, again, way too much lemon.  The sliders were decent, although my bun was a little stale and also burnt, but they were cooked well and pretty flavorful.  The figs with goat cheese were actually quite delicious, but couldn't make up for the disappointment of the rest of the meal.

The worse part of this whole experience, however, was the jazz, or lack thereof.  During the entire hour and a half we were there, we heard maybe 15 minutes of live jazz.  And we couldn't even hear it from where we were seated.  I feel that any place that touts itself as a "jazz" lounge should actually have real live jazz musicians playing real live jazz.  Or am I being silly?  the place was overall pretentious with nothing to show for it.  And while the wait staff was friendly-ish, they were disorganized. I have no interest in going back.  There are a lot of restaurants and lounges that are MUCH better

I came here for brunch on Sunday with my boyfriend. It was around 11:30 on Sunday morning and I was pretty nervous that we would have to wait because we didn't have a reservation. Luckily, we got there and were seated immediately.

I had always wanted to go to this place when it was on Raymond, so I was very excited to eat at the new location. I have to say I love the atmosphere and decor. It was bright, open, breezy...very relaxing. Our waiter came by immediately and served us water and provided us with menus.

We decided to order bottomless mimosas, beignets, the eggs purgatory and the eggs benedict with ham. Delicious!! The beignets are super cute; they're bite sized, and plenty of them to whet your appetite before you get your meal. They're also really sweet. The eggs purgatory was good. The marinara sauce was spicy, and the eggs combined with it nicely on the bread (which was a little crusty for my taste, but my boyfriend loved it). Finally, the eggs benedict with ham really took the cake. The ham wasn't this lame, thin slice, it was a huge CHUNK. The english muffin it was on top of was really sweet and warm. I could honestly eat that all day.

About halfway through, a musician started playing. I love live music and this was no exception.

All in all I can't wait to do brunch here again. Too bad it's so expensive though.
