The selection of food is huge! My favorite are the Chicago Red Hots. However, you can get pizza, sandwiches, chicken, pasta, salads, italian beef and more. There are daily specials that offer a good value. Food is brought to your table after it is prepared.
An owner was particularly helpful the other day when I stopped in. I told her that the rootbeer syrup was out at the soda fountain and she gave me a can of rootbeer of my choice. You can take out as well.
The owners here are so amazing. Â They take great care to offer excellent food, but also excellent service. Â The pizza is what brought me in the door, but it was a combination of the pizza, the price and the people that keeps me coming back. Â They even know my name and my order! Â That means one of two things...either they pay attention and want to give superior service, or I am in there quite often. Â Let's call it both!
Review Source:We have dined at this establishment, and also have had orders delivered, The owner (a delightful lady) has been present most of the times we have dined in. The restaurant is nicely decorated, comfortable and very clean. Its front counter employees and wait staff are friendly and very accommodating. Anything we have ordered has been very good, however, the thin crust pizza is exceptional, the best in Gurnee, and it could easily compete with Chicago pizzeria fare.
Whenever we visit, our orders are properly filled, prepared, and promptly delivered to our table. The very same applies to our telephone orders. If you opt for delivery, your order total will be quoted to you after you place it, and if you are told to expect your order in 45 minutes, you may expect it within 45 minutes. In-store or delivery; both rate five stars.
Ensure that you patronize this particular Rosati's in the Gurnee area, because the same does not apply to other Rosati's.
After a long day at Six Flags, all bf wanted was a decent slice of pizza. Rosati's seemed to be the only one still serving pizza by the slice at 9pm in Gurnee so we stopped in.
I wasn't too hungry (everyone gasp!) so I settled for a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. Bf went with a slice of pepperoni and jalapenos. Â My soup came out in under 5 minutes and was super chunky with cheddar cheese and tortilla stripes on top. The soup could've been pretty good but it was just too heavy and too salty.
The pepperoni pizza came out after 15 minutes and was hot, cheesy and pretty good. Wish they would've incorporated the jalapeno a little more into the pizza rather than just putting it on top of the pepperoni and then baking it. A large slice and for both items, it was under $7.
p.s. it also looks like they have some great daily specials. If I were more hungry I might've gotten a bbq chicken or fried chicken special. Nothing was more than $10.
