Our evening started out on a sour note. Â I called to change our dinner reservation from 8 to 6 and was told they did not have our reservation. Â I asked to speak to a manager who instead of providing good customer service told me that I had not called or had called their other restaurant. Â He was just rude. Â He argued with me! Â In fact I had called and record of it on my phone. Â I was told they could not get us in at our desired time because they were SO busy. Â We arrived at the restaurant at our original time to get drinks in the bar while we waited. Â We were astonished to find that there was one party in the restaurant! Â The place was empty! Â
As far as our service goes...service was fine. We had to ask for more drinks for each round. Â And then they brought our check without asking if we wanted dessert or another round of drinks. Â Food was good. Â Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad. Â A few of our sushi rolls were quite fishy tasting. Â
We did not care for the atmosphere at all. Â It felt like a little more upscale McDonalds. Â The outdoor seating area looks nice. Â
Bottom line is we would never return. There was nothing to make us want to go back.
This is my favorite sushi place in Louisville. I go mainly for lunch and they have a great $10 menu with lots of variety and very generous portions. You won't need to eat dinner if you have one of their bento boxes for lunch.
My favorite lunch order consists of their iceberg salad with that perfect ginger dressing, an avocado roll and a plum ginger roll. The plum ginger roll is the perfect wild combo of flavors unlike any I've ever had anywhere in the world.
