Quick review: Good fried chicken, rubbery eggs, overpriced for just ok food.
After waiting a few months to try Sway out, we finally found ourselves downtown and looking for some good food.  Located basically at the end of 4th street live, one block north so park anywhere around there. The place is  mainly a bar/lounge, but they do have a dining room. We went on a Saturday about 9pm and the lounge was busy, but dining area seemed all but empty. Started out with Deviled Eggs, a must have according to the menu, but a must pass based on the ones we were served. The filling was ok, kind of bland, bacon was more like a piece of beef jerky, worst part was the egg, it was extremely hard and rubbery. I have had much better deviled eggs at a BBQ in my backyard, so I would say pass on these. The blackeyed pea soup was very good, great flavors. Entrees were Amish chicken and fried chicken. Both were good, fried chicken is half a chicken (breast, thigh, wing, drumstick), very good flavor, nice and crispy. Mashed potatoes were excellent as well. Cornbread stuffing had promise, but was extremely dry and lacked flavor. It seemed like it was the last of a casserole dish that had been sitting out for a while. While the Amish chicken was tender and seasoned well, it was a quarter chicken with mashed parsnip for $25. Fried chicken was not as bad as far as price, definitely more reasonable.  Dessert we had the Grasshopper cake, which was awesome. Cake was dense but moist, icing was like the cream of an oreo with a minty flavor. Meal was good, not great, and had it come to $50 instead of $80 I would go back again. We will probably try breakfast buffet next time. When thinking of how many stars, i can't forget how rubbery the eggs were for $7......for that they deserve 2 instead of 3
Based on its location near my downtown office, Sway has been a lunchtime favorite for myself and my associates, but I've found it to be a great place for working lunches and meetings as well.
There is decent free wi-fi through Einstein's Bagels (in the same building--or its free if you have someone staying at the Hyatt Hotel). The restaurant is very open, so even when crowded I've never found the noise level too loud. Tables are large for eating alongside laptops and files, and most importantly, the food is tasty and the service friendly and helpful.
Love the fried chicken they do there, and the sandwich and salad renditions of it are just as spot on. Also enjoy the fried green tomato BLT.
