My husband invited me to this sports bar for an after work function the first time I visited and was blown away by the real potato french fries and not yo' mama's ordinary mac n' cheese. Â We decided to go back at a later date because they're one of the few places that serve Turkey burgers in metro Atlanta. Â
We were pleasantly surprised at our next visit to discover a succulently prepared Turkey burger was just what the meat doc ordered.  In addition to the perfectly fried french fries, we split an order of the bread pudding à la mode - I almost bit my tongue off it was so good!  Definitely will be be back.
FREE parking in front is awesome, but, extremely tight and hard to find in the evenings given the other popular eateries next door.
Three words. Lemon Pepper Wings! I am a straight woman but came to the establishment during a lesbian night complete with a variety showcase. I had a great time. The servers were very nice and the place had me craving lemon pepper wings for a month. They were on point. The music was good and the crowd was fun. I'd go back.
Review Source:Perhaps the worst bar food in Atlanta. Â I question if anything is actually fresh. Â Stay clear of the chicken salad or anything made with the "chicken". Â I can't believe the food that comes out of the kitchen. Â
The manager was present however not engaged beyond watching football. Â The staff was friendly and helpful however eat before you arrive. Â
This place needs to take a strong look at the freezer and realize food can come out of the kitchen cooked - not just reheated.
When I think sports bar, I think Taco Mac. Mediocre food, ok service, & having to listen to a game you don't care about. Scoreboards was a nice change from my expectations. I stopped in here last night with Meg C. & her husband. It was quiet, which is to be expected the week of Thanksgiving. Our server, Patton, was personable & attentive. The manager also came by several times to check on us. We started with the spinach & artichoke appetizer. Instead of chips, it was served with grilled pita chips. I thought that was a nice change & stood up nicely to the dip. The dip also had actual pieces of artichoke in it, not just spinach. I find that's frequently an issue with this type of dip. I was impressed. I had just come from dance class, so I wasn't terribly hungry. I went with the ceasar salad with added shrimp. It was a reasonable sized portion with 5 well seasoned shrimp on top. They weren't shy with the dressing which I also appreciated. Meg got the philly cheesesteak & her husband got the stuffed burger. I nicked some of her fries. They were tasty even cold. I had a few bites of the bread pudding & was happy with it. I don't eat a lot of bread pudding, so I'm not much of a judge.
I liked the ambiance. I liked that they had the various games on, but music was playing instead of commentary from a game you either don't care about or can't see. It was pop music, but I could zone it out fairly easily. They also let me use the Scoutmob deal even though my phone was on the verge of dying. I would definitely be back here.
Scoreboards is in a great location near Emory's campus. I agree with a previous review that said the place has potential. The food was decent. Ordered the jambalaya pasta while my friend ordered the ribs. I think her ribs were much better than my pasta dish but she took my pasta to go.
We both ordered dessert. I had the bread pudding and she selected the peach cobbler. It was just okay... nothing to write home about.
a few tips: pay attention to daily specials or take advantage of the great scout on deal
This is a new sports bar and has potential. The bar has a nice atmosphere, is nicely layout lots of screens and excellent audio system. The food was a mixed bag, the jalapeno and cheese stuffed burger was really good as were the mixed vegetables. However, I substituted the baked potato for the fries, which was a big mistake. I am not sure how long it had been in the warming drawer, but long enough it was brown a quarter inch deep around the skin, hard and tasteless. Whomever was preparing the food should have refused to server it. The worst though was I asked for sweet tea after a few beers. It was awful, and tasted like powdered Lipton instant tea. An unforgivable sin in the south. The service was also substandard. My wife and I both thought our waitress was amongst the worst I have had. Just the kind of person that really doesn't have the right personality or attention to detail needed to be a good waitress.
Its a new place, but overall I think it has potential and will give them another try, but only if they fix things like the potato and the tea. Really, instant tea in the South!
For a sports bar, this place isn't bad. Â They know how to accommodate a large party for one of the biggest UGA games of the year, which is pretty impressive. Â
A couple of issues; first the service is slow and they weren't too overly crowded. Â The server seemed a bit too timid for our crazy group of Georgia fans, and she was not sure how to navigate through us all. Â Second, the food was barely passable. Â The wings were good, but the cheese sticks were served with an ice-cold marinara sauce. Â Weird, no? And this was after it took over 20 minutes to get them to even come out of the kitchen - you can't tell me most of what they have is probably straight from the freezer to the fryer. Â Oh, and a crappy beer selection - and not even 1 cider selection. Â That sucks for the gluten-free set.
So if you want to watch the game and want some mediocre sports bar food, this is a decent place to come. Â Otherwise, pick another joint, for sure.
The Nest has closed and has reopened as Scoreboards. This space has had 3 or 4 names in the past couple of years, and I feel like it will be renamed soon.
We went there after dinner on Saturday to try to catch some of the UGA-Mizzou game.
We walked in and no one greeted us. For a sports bar they had an odd choice of bad pop music at a very loud volume. We asked them to turn this music down, and they did for about 15 minutes.
They were out of all but 2 types of beer. The waitstaff was clueless when my friend asked for an Amstel light. They said they were only having a soft opening so they didn't have much inventory. Lame excuse.
In addition, it took 5 people 15 minutes to try to get the credit card machine to work...
I wouldn't be brave enough to try their food. There is also a club or some sort of space under the place with thumping music.
I predict a quick demise of this one and won't be back. Watching a game there was an awful experience and we caught half of one quarter and left.
