I've only been here once so far, but plan on making this a regular in the happy hour rotation, especially as the weather gets nicer! The happy hour prices are great, they have some interesting snack choices and a beautiful outdoor patio. I'm also excited to try out their brunch! Parking can be a little hard, but once you get in there you'll be glad you did.

Tucked away in a tiny corner of Hyde Park is a surprisingly large new wine bar.

If you're looking for something other than wine, this is probably not the right place for you.  They serve wine, they decorate with oaken barrels, they even entertain with documentaries about --you guessed it-- wine!  So, if you're hoping to grab a beer and watch March Madness, you're probably looking at a stop somewhere else.

Considering the locale, prices are actually quite affordable.  Happy hour will knock a couple bucks off of every glass.  I think I had a bill of $3 the other day, so you might want to check that out.

You will, however, feel out of place without a collar and dress pants, so you can unwind merely by losing your tie.  Also, beware of all the glass obstacles, I see myself in my less apprehensive years face planting like a bug on a windshield.  Enter the vestibule and GO RIGHT!  That'll get you inside minus some embarrassment.

Practically ALL the appetizers are veg! Really amazing selection of wine, some of the better glasses I've had in this city. Also the atmosphere is great!

    Happy hour deal is awesome!

My first visit to Unwind Wine Bar was during Yelp Drinks week in February. I met up with a few friends after work and the venue was standing room only on a Wednesday night.
Two friends had seats at the bar, while me and another stood up, service was prompt, staff was knowledgeable about their wines.
Great Hyde Park location, once the weather turns warmer their outside patio will be packed.
They had a variety of wines on their wine list with a few light bites, flatbread, cheeses.
Worth returning again to Unwind after work or a hectic weekend day.

This is definitely more of a lounge than a restaurant or bar which I don't mind at all. I really enjoyed it - very fitting in this area.

GREAT atmosphere - very inviting (lots of comfy couches and chairs) - the front patio will be an amazing place to relax in the warmer months. It's just around the corner from all the hot spots on Hyde Park Square.

I just stopped in for happy hour (2 bucks off all apps, 6 oz wine, and beer) after a long day of shopping at Rookwood and it was just what I needed.

The prices are very reasonable for the quality wines they serve. I got the bruschetta capra (thick pieces of toasted italian bread topped with a goat cheese mousse, sauteed shallots, honey, and lemon peel - it was really tasty).

One weird thing I noticed was there wasn't any female staff - I'm not sure if it was just the night or what, but I just thought that was weird.... even if the customers are mainly women.

I think it's worth checking out if you like this sort of feel - personally, I feel great in a place like this - even going alone.

We went for brunch and had a good experience. Get the eggs!! One of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had. Wine flavor was subtle but good, tomatoes were very fresh and the cheese rounded out the flavor wonderfully. Other people were satisfied with the quiche and french toast. Mimosas were solid and bakery plate was small but tasty. Service was a little off because someone had called off, but they recovered and made this an enjoyable experience.

Picture this: dark wood. Dim mood lit lighting softly bouncing off the rich texture of steel and plush Ralph Lauren pillows. Merlot themed accents throughout the space. Tall leather wing back chairs you could sink into for days. A warm cozy fire meets your cold hands as you are served a nice spicy glass of your favorite red wine.

    THIS IS UNWIND.

I came here on a Sunday around 6:30 and their was a sense of serenity when I walked in. The ambiance is like nothing I have seen in Cincinnati. I felt like I was in a New York City hotel
or lounge. Whoever designed this place did not skip a beat. Everything down to the cherry Merlot hand soap is perfection. The art features actually bring something to the space. This isn't goddy grapes dangling everywhere. The space is refined, elegant, and absolutely stunning! I think my favorite feature was the old wine barrels coming out of the wall. These bring everything together for a cohesive feel. I also liked right when you walk in the glass enclosure that all the wine bottles are in. Just beautiful!!

Now onto the wine. The first thing I thought after a got over the heart attack from how beautiful this place was, it must come with a price...Surprisingly well priced, especially for hyde park they could be charging WAY more. But shhh lets not tell them that. Since it was happy hour all the "light fare" food is two dollars off.  We ordered a cheese plate that was the best I've ever had! It had smaller portions, but at least five cheeses which I like. I loved the variety of flavors. It came with honey, blackberry jam, wafer crackers, an assortment of nuts, and fresh strawberry. Gawwwwd. Just thinking about it now I am drooling and for only $10!! $12 regularly. It must be popular because everyone we saw come in ordered it.

We also had two glasses of red at five a piece for happy hour. Mine was perfectly balanced and our waitress let me try it before hand to make sure. She was great. The wine was great. The cheese was great. The atmosphere was incredible. If you are looking for a crack in this place you wont find it. An excellent display of just how awesome a wine bar can be. Others need to take note. We are coming here from now on, and for good reasons.

Cheers Unwind! I wish you all the best.

Tried to take my mom on a Mom date here on a Friday evening. I expected it to be busy, and we were ok with that. What surprised me was the they were doing a list for seating. They don't actually have anything other than appetizer type food, so this seemed strange to me. If you know it's going to be busy, why bother with table service? We definitely weren't going to wait the estimated 45 minutes for a table so we could order a glass of wine. So, since it was a crazy warm January weekend, we put our names in for a table, and then ordered a  couple of glasses at the bar and went outside to sit at  some available chairs near around a fire pit and wait. Then an employee came over and told us that these seats were also part of the table service/wait list area. There wasn't even a table. So we stood and drank. Interestingly, we were there for about an hour, and never got a table. So we left after our glasses were done.

The wine was great, and reasonably priced- most glasses are in the $6-7 range. The food wasn't anything I was interested in and especially not in waiting almost an hour to get it. This is going on my "wait until the hype dies down or it's a weekday" list.

We stopped in here late one night for a quick drink.  The place was nearly empty so we had the bar to ourselves.  The ambience is awesome, and I can tell it will be really nice (and therefore, packed) in the summer.  The staff was very friendly, attentive and knowledgable.  We will be back often!

I think I've found my new favorite wine bar in Cincinnati! I know I've said that in many other reviews, but this time I mean it! The interior of Unwind feels like a cozy ski lodge, complete with couches, fireplace, and lots of wine. I was pleasantly surprised to find extremely reasonable prices at this new wine bar in the heart of Hyde Park. They offer both 3 oz and 6 oz pours with many of the 6 oz pours costing only $6. I had the Malbec and loved it! They also sell wine by the bottle for very reasonable prices. And the best part: their happy hour slashes $2 off all 6 oz pours. This means I can get a $4 full glass of delicious wine at a place with great atmosphere! You know where to find me on Friday nights!

My boyfriend and I dropped in on a Saturday night around 7 and were easily able to find a table for two.  Though we are experienced wine drinkers we are not very sophisticated and found the 3 and 6 oz pours to be very accessible.  There is a nice variety and they are all moderately priced.  For the more advanced wine drinker there is an extensive bottle list.

The atmosphere was charming and cozy on a cold winter night.  There is an assortment of tables, bar stools, and couches inside, and I am excited to try out the patio when the weather warms up!

The most delightful part of our visit was the assortment of small plates.  We ordered the tomato tartare which consisted of roasted/sun-dried tomatoes with a goat cheese mousse on top and crackers on the side.  It was absolutely fantastic!  We also had a bruschetta which had the same goat cheese mousse over perfectly toasted bread.  Though you certainly wouldn't come here for a full meal, it was a great way to start our evening.

By the time we left around 8:30, the place was packed wall-to-wall.  Though it would certainly be worth the wait, I'm glad we arrived when it was a little more calm and could enjoy this fantastic new spot in Hyde Park.

The cat's out of the bag! hyde park has a new wine bar, and it is perfect for the area, it's nice, without being pretentious, classy, without being expensive, and it seems like a perfect jump off for a date.  The room can get full of conversations, but it never felt loud.  Definitely getting added to the rotation of hang outs.

I'm really excited for this wine bar in Hyde Park.  Boasting a "you wish this was your living room" layout with a fireplace, deep leather sofas and a long bar, this mostly wine bar with some tables for small bites, is a perfect place to Unwind!  Tucked back behind a large stone patio that is begging for a cold Riesling on a hot day, you'll find a fairly extensive wine list that easily accessible for new wine-literate and newly acquainted.  With pricing from just $5/6oz , this is an easy pour to swallow.  The only downside right now is the newest thing popularity has overwhelmed the intimate space and the servers are certainly getting their money's worth dodging standing room only crowds.  On a weeknight in between Christmas and New Years', the wait for a table was over an hour.  With a healthy mix of mature wine lovers and young professionals, make a new friend, catch up with an old friend, or just take in the atmosphere and order another glass.

Great addition to the Hyde Park area!
The wine list is great, decor is really nice (think aspen ski lodge) and wait-staff is attentive.  We were there on their 8th day open and they were still working out kinks (i.e. waiters didn't know much about the wines)
A great place to come and sit by the fire or catch up with friends.
The layout is much more like a restaurant than a bar, though there is a cellar room with bar tables.

I popped in here on Saturday night and, though it was quite busy, was able to get a table quickly. The somalier was attentive, and the waitstaff friendly (though my waiter clearly knew little to nothing about wine). The wine list was pretty good and very reasonably priced. While they don't offer flights, they do have separately priced 3oz pours, so you can more or less make your own flight (which is my personal favorite thing to do in wine bars). My friend and I ordered the cheese plate and it was generous and good. I think I'll definitely be coming back again soon, especially during their happy hour on weeknights! Also, it was too chilly on Saturday to take advantage, but the bar is recessed from the street, fronted by an oblong courtyard that will be lovely in warmer weather. I highly recommend it!
