Penn Station East Coast Subs

Fresh lemonade! Yes please! Delicious fries, and I love the pizza sandwich. Always quick and made fresh to order.

I love Penn Station, but seriously, this is the slowest moving, rudest bunch of staff I've ever met in a fast food place (and there was really nothing fast about it).

The minute I walked in the door, one older guy behind the counter gave a friendly, direct greeting... followed by an up and down oogling of me. Thanks, but NO thanks! There was one other lady in line ahead of me already ordering. The lady asked for a cup for water and the cashier VERY rudely told her "Make sure it's water ONLY." The lady ordering appeared to be Asian and I can only HOPE that was NOT the reason for this awful interaction.

When I began to order, the cashier interrupted me and said "so you want the special?" I looked around quickly to see if I had missed something and had to ask what that even meant (definitely NO signs about a "special").

While I was waiting (more than 10 minutes) for my food, one of the other staff made a comment about pulled pork. The cashier (such a bundle of sunshine, right?) took it upon herself to make sure the WHOLE store knew that she though the guy was a complete idiot for calling something "pulled pork," a phrase she had never heard before. She even asked all of the customers waiting if they knew what pulled pork was. Fortunately, everyone nodded in agreement with the poor guy that yes, pulled pork is a real thing.

All in all, when I FINALLY got home with my food, it was made perfectly and was delicious, but the people working in that store (particularly that awful dark haired cashier!) were by far the most unprofessional I have encountered in some time.

I Iike Penn Station.... It's basic man food.  I usually get the 8" steak & cheese Philly sandwich, prepared exactly how I want it and a small fry.  Their other sandwiches are good as well and if you watch their specials you might score one as a combo meal at a good price.  A for drinks, they have good iced tea - which for me is important.
