I go to the bar area, it's clean, great bartenders/servers and a good selection of beers as well as liquors. Food has always been quick to come out for me when I order . Bartenders are very friendly and attentive to patrons and NEVER push drinks on you.
I've had the Steak Quesadillas- excellent. I've had the Philly Cheese Steak- also great. Both came with what I think are some of the best fries I've had.
I'm definitely gonna keep coming back.
My sister's family lives in northwest Indiana, but I don't venture out there much. It seems like a whole other country sometimes. It can definitely be harder to find good vegan options.
My young nieces had their combined birthday party at Zuni's. There is a big party room that can accommodate probably 50 people. My sister got a number of pizzas for everyone and told me to order whatever I wanted. Well, on the menu, only the spaghetti with marinara sauce (without the Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top) and the fries were vegan. I scarfed through those very quickly. The pasta is definitely overpriced.
Later in the evening (as I was there pretty much all day), The staff let me order a cheeseless pizza with black olives. I appreciated their effort, but it tasted like a saltine cracker with tomato paste. I ate half that night and the rest with lunch the next day. I've definitely had better pizza, but I'll take what I can get when I am not choosing the restaurant.
There's something to be said for pizza in Chicago!
We get pizza from Zuni's all the time. Â Their pizza is good and hot. Â They have good salads and chili and chicken wings. Â They make giant thin crust pizza that is delicious and I like their sausage that they put on their pizza. Â It's nice to say that of all the places that do pizza in crown point this is my favorite.
