I LOVE their outdoor patio very big and usually pretty packed on nice days and evenings in the summer. I have been here numerous times and usually have a good time. It can be hit or miss tho. If it is a hot summer day/eveing the patio and bar have a nice crowd. Once the patio shuts down or the weather isnt as nice the place seems to be pretty dead.
Would highly recomended for day drinking or a hot evening on the patio. They have TVs every where out on the patio so also good for watching games.
Stopped here in early August for a drink with a friend. She and I both had glasses of wine.
She got the "Southwest Salad" which is romaine lettuce with tomatoes, mixed cheese, corn, black beans, onions, and topped with tortilla strips & buffalo ranch dressing. I didn't have a lot of it but I tasted it and it was very good.
This looks like an amazing beer garden as well. If we had time, I would have enjoyed coming back here again and having beers in the sunny Chicago afternoon. I would definitely track this spot down again, although I do wish they had WiFi.
After a fantastic pizza dinner at Lou Minatti Pizza, right next door to this Cedar Hotel, our group decided to swing by and get a beer. It looked like a fun active place. Turns out its all a big scam, I am not sure why anyone would ever come back to this place twice, unless they give local people a different price then out of towners.
We ordered a beer each, and our server recommended getting the bucket to save a couple of bucks, so we did that. Once we got the tab, 6 beers cost $50. In a place like Singapore or Tokyo, I expect this, but no where else in Chicago were prices so inflated.
So STAY AWAY, there are tons of great places in the area to go, that won't gouge you.
