Friendly staff, decent food.  Steak was tender, great onion rings, French-onion soup yummy.  Didn't love the fish & chips.

again let me first start off by saying this place is better than "meh" so a yelp 3 star A-ok rating at this particular location is fair. as far as these corporate chain restaurants go Charlie Browns is by far the cleanest and most delicious. this particular Charlie Browns has a stocked fresh salad bar that has all your standard salad fair but also a slew of pasta salads and the like. There menu isnt very large compared to some of the other corporate chains but youll have a hard time deciding between dishes. There bar is stocked and has fresh tapped beer as well. Don't forget to check the daily special board for additional dishes.

Went here today for lunch with my family, who I was visiting for the holiday. Years ago they used to go to Charlie Brown's often and really enjoyed it; however, it now has a "new" menu and the quality has really suffered. The service was marginal at best. Fries came out raw -- not cooked. Mashed potatoes were cold. Steak quality was not what it used to be. We all agreed that this place has really gone downhill -- would not recommend.

Most of the food is avg quality or worse, they try to camouflage with heavy salt, heavy sauce and cheese.

But that is OK because its priced about right.

Cleanliness is not up to snuff, and the salad bar a key attraction is often allowed to go low on items.

The staff is avg to below avg, they clunk around the dining room, and I've never eaten here without seeing a dropped plate, a crash or some such.

They need to up their game, we eat there only in a pinch.

The salad bar is fresh, the burgers are great, and the updated menu with lamb and lobster is delicious!

A staple of the town, and a "go to" place for late dinners if you live in the area.  Have been coming here since HS where everything else is closed!

I have tried and tried to enjoy this place but it just keeps getting worse! The other night I ordered a "prime rib" sandwhich. It was like raw frozen steakum. The steaks are always undercooked. The salad bar is disgusting. The drinks are ok. The bartender is ditzy, and the glasses are dirty. Why bother coming here? Scotty's has better steak and O'reilly's has better wings and drink service. CB's you are the suck!

    Absolutely not.

As evidenced by my Chatham review of this place, the only reason I come to CB is for Wing Night. Now I've been out of the country for a while but there is NO WAY two dozen wings cost me $10.99. Impossible. Upon asking the waitress to clarify, she concurred that the prices have risen.

WE ARE IN A RECESSION. And these wings, albeit tasty, are NOT worth almost 50 cents. Each.

And though the waitress was nice (it's really not hard to refill a diet coke, but still she was nice), my cold stone heart cannot allow any more stars. Because the wings really aren't that great. And now I'm paying more for them. And the salad bar isn't all that good - I had a few bites from my cousin's salad bar creation and the green peppers tasted off. I'm also wary of salad bars to begin with - ESPESH in Jerz.

They do have decent beers on tap, but I'm not spending any more of my hard earned money for beer to drink down my pricey wings with. NO I SAY.

Jersey is now dead to me. Except for those darn Housewives. They can stay.

This isn't where I would pick to dine on vacation, but given that it's fiance's grandpa's favorite restaurant, I've been here twice in two trips to NJ. It's definitely stepped up it's game in the past year or so.

Still got Sam Adams and some other decent selections on tap, and the burger and fish and chips were both much better (i.e. not overdone or too soggy) the second time around. Also, the salad bar was surprisingly decent. The food is improved, but unfortunately, every large family full of tantrum-throwing rugrats and parents who don't seem to care seemed to have figured this out - we were surrounded!

I've give it two stars back home, but the waitress was apologetic for the hectic atmosphere and overall grandpa had a really nice time. Better to stick to the weekdays if you're coming here anytime soon.

I used to go to this place as my Ruby Tuesdays salad bar stand in...lately though, I would take Charlie Browns over Ruby Tuesdays.  The salad bar is huge and offers tons of choices...it's actually possible to make a healthy salad here (but its also possible to pile on the not so good for you stuff, as well)  Economically, just getting the salad bar doesn't make much sense, but that hasn't stopped me.  (the menu prices on regular entrees and promotional specials seem like really good deals) Unlike Ruby Tuesdays, you can actually get bread - and tons of it - fresh seeded rye and pumpernickel just to name a few.  The chopped liver used to have a following, but from what I hear it's not as good as it used to be. The best part is that there is no need for me to order dessert - I take granola, trail mix and carob chips from the salad bar and have myself a yummy after dinner treat. Service is always very good - there are lots of regulars here (one night a week - can't recall if it's Sat or Sun - there is some kind of lobster special that seems to draw a crowd) and it often seems like everyone knows everyone here.  Good (salty) french onion soup.  Free refills on soda!
