To COALVINES OF SUGARLAND: My husband, daughter, and I have visited your establishment on several occassions. We have invited friends out and spread the good word on the quality of your food. To our surprise, we visited this past Sunday and our pizza came out burnt. The cook who brought it out forwarned us that it was dark and if we had a problem to just send it back. It even had part of the crust cut off (I am guessing it was even more burnt that the rest of our pizza). We went ahead and tried it and the whole pizza tasted burnt, so we asked our waiter to have another one made. A few minutes later, a different cook came out and asked if there was a problem with the pizza. We said in unison, yes, it was burnt. The cook began his closing statement that he has been in the business of making pizza for several years and assured us it wasn't burnt. Even when my husband was extremely nice about it, the cook did not want to remake our pizza. My husband then asked, why was part of the crust cut off if it wasn't burnt? The obnoxious cook replied that it hadn't been. At that point, we got up and headed for the door. The cook then came after us asking if we were just going to walk out on our bill. We replied, "We only had water." He disingenuously said, come back and see us and of course I told him we wouldn't be back. We are extremely disappointed at the behavior of your head cook. We will gladly spend our money at Grimaldi's, where the pizza never comes out burnt and the employees are super friendly. I wish you luck in the coming months because if the service doesn't change, you won't be around for long.
Review Source:So disappointed!!! I did some homework to find a happy hour in Sugarland on a Saturday. Â The website said Happy Hour from 3-6. Â This was one of the reasons that we went. Â My husband and I were celebrating our 28th anniversary and were looking for a place to have some wine and great food. Â We were seating and asked our server, Camille, what the happy hour specials were. Â At that time the executive chef walked by and grumbled, "we don't have that anymore". Â I said it was on the website, and he grumbled again, "that hold have been taken down!" Â Well... Alright. Â Camille was very apologetic and gave us great service while we were there. Â We ordered bruschetta, which was delicious! Â While we were there, the music was quite loud. Â Celo Green was singing in the background the song Forget You, except it was not the clean version. Â There were children in the restaurant at this time, but no one on the staff seemed to notice! Â After that, needless to say we waked across to Churrascos and had a fabulous meal.
