One of my least favorite bars in the area. We have had problems with this place during Marti Gras before. We paid the $10 for cover to all of the bars but at Midnight they started to charge cover because they said that it was a new day and the wrist band was only good for one date. This bar also is normally were the just turned 21 kids go to as well. Just not my crowd.

I was in a party of 3 and had a $50 coupon. The coupon was good on alcohol too, so not a bad deal. We ordered our drinks (beer), and when they were brought to our table, there was mass confusion as to what was what. We decided we could live with whatever we were drinking, so we didn't make a fuss. I asked the waitress what Cosmo's was known for, and she replied the burgers and the fish. 2 in our party order a burger, and the 3rd, the fish. In my opinion, the burgers were not even average. My friend told me the fish was so-so. The atmosphere seemed a little bit country, and maybe this place doesn't get going until later. We were there at 9pm on a Saturday, and there were two other patrons. Cosmo's is not a place for a return visit unless someone arranges a large group to meet there.

This place is such a hole in the wall. Being right in Mainstrasse, I wanted it to be better. It's just so... not. My main complaint about Cosmo's is that it smelled funny. That's not ever a good thing when you go somewhere and plan to eat. I actually didn't eat because of it. I did have a drink though.

In spite of all this, I had a decent time at Cosmo's hanging with my friends, but I don't really want to go back. The redeeming quality is that they were playing some good music and I like the laid back atmosphere.

I used to like Cosmo's, I really, really did. But this Mardi Gras really hit the nail in the coffin for this place.

Last year we went and got there early, their pizza wasn't too bad and it was kinda fun.. This year however was not.

I understad Mardi Gras is a busy time, however.. When around midnight you say Wristbands don't count and guys have to pay a $3 cover? That's downright crappy. NONE of the other bars were doing that, NONE. Plus it's a little sexist to me. I don't care if you want to make extra profits, but do it some other way.

I will not come back to Cosmo's again, ever. period.

I am a big fan of Mainstrasse. I think it is a great place to go out, similar to OTR but a little more...country. Cosmo's is your typical bar with burgers and an outdoor eating area during the week but on the weekends it turns into a dance club. And sometimes a girl just wants to dance. The best part is that if you don't like the music thats playing just walk across the street and you will probably find something more your style.

I was only here to drink on a Wednesday night. We got the $5 bucket of 4 beers. The whole place is pretty big.
They have karaoke and a pool table to play for $1.25 a game. Pool table is kind of ghetto.
Bathrooms are not very clean and they use shower curtains as doors.

To be honest, I have never had a good experience at Cosmo's. I am not a fan of the food, service, or environment (the bathroom door is a shower curtain.....just saying). In my opinion, I believe that the Cosmo's is in such a great location that the restaurant doesn't need to be great because people will come anyway.

The last time I went to Cosmo's we had a rather large group (about 10 people). The entire group was there and all of were waiting for our table at the bar. We all sat at the bar (keep in mind we were there at 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon- not a busy time in the LEAST) and the bartender had no intention of getting our drink orders. We were the only people at the bar and still had no luck getting her attention. It wasn't until our table became available that she finally asked us what we would like from the bar. When we sat down at the table, she told us that she would be serving us.

When it was time to take our order it soon became apparent that her knowledge of the menu was dismal. She couldn't answer any of questions and ran back and forth from our table to the kitchen in order to answer our questions. When we finally did get our orders in, we were exhausted and needed another round of drinks...which barely made it to our table before our food did.

The food at Cosmo's is overpriced for the quality. I have never ordered something I have actually liked at this place (knowing this some of us just got drinks and decided to eat somewhere with better food). I am feeling bad for being so negative. I will say that simple things aren't bad here. I have gotten their fried food i.e chicken fingers and French fries and have been satisfied. But anything else, not a chance.

When the bill came, our poor server got everything wrong. She charged us wrong, messed up the credit cards, and gave the wrong amount of cash back (I wonder how much her drawer was off that day). Maybe it just wasn't her day, who knows but either way...not a good experience.

Will I come back? I am sure one day I will be trapped in Mainstrauss and one of my friends will say "Let's go the Cosmo's" and we all drag ourselves in despite our consistantly crappy experiences here. I will then order a drink they will mess up and charge me wrong for. I will then decline to order any food saying "I am just not hungry".

Cosmo's is a local bar/eatary located in Covington's historic Main Strasse Willage. It is currently under major construction and the facade looks a little rough, but I imagine it will look quite nice once it's finished. The interior is extremely open and airy with tables and a long bar. There is an upstairs, but it has been closed for a few years now. By far one of the best features however, is the outside seating in the summer. The tables are nice and big and all have umbrellas for shade.

As far are drinks go they have your standards. Nothing too fancy and though the prices aren't outrageous I wouldn't say it's a great "deal." They do have the occasional special. Also, if you're a craft beer elitist you will probably be a little disappointed with their selection.

The menu probably won't surprise you, it's typical bar fare. However, it's really tasty. Their turkey reuben is one of my personal favorites (and is a good sized sandwich for what you pay). Get the pasta salad as your side...it's delicious! I'm not sure what all the ingredients are...besides delicious!

BE WARNED: On the weekends Cosmo's turns into a dance club/bro bar. I tend to avoid it completely in the evenings, but especially on the weekends. They usually have a less than great DJ playing remixed pop songs and there's a lot of bumping and grinding going on. Not my cup of tea, but if you're into that sort of thing check out Cosmo's on a Friday or Saturday.

So, if you're looking to have a beer and a bite to eat outside on a sunny day Cosmo's is a great spot. It's also very pet friendly. I often see people with their dogs there and Cosmo's always provides them with a bowl of water. It seems like Cosmo's is in a transitional phase now and I do look forward to seeing how it ends up.

Cosmo's is under construction but don't let that deter you. It can be quite cramped on the weekends but is a great choice for a weekday lunch or dinner. We went because I had a http://restaurant.com coupon that I wanted to use.

We got the quesidilla rolls which were okay. Tasted like they were frozen. I'd get something else for the appetizer instead of this one next time.

My boss and I split an order of the fish and chips. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Since the rolls were from frozen I kind of expected these to be mediocre as well. I really liked this though. 2 big chunks of white fish in a a nice crunchy batter. The fries weren't too bad either. They were crisp and there were plenty of them. This was a good portion to share or to have as one big meal.

Our server was very helpful and attentive. I didn't like Cosmo's as much as I like Zola's, but it's still a fine choice.

We met here for our networking event. The space was a good size for our group (under 50) and has a great look. The appetizers were excellent.

My daughter and I went on a beautiful late Sunday morning, and had lunch sitting at a nice sized table on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. The waitress was very pleasant, the service was good, and the service was comfortably paced. There were several reasonably priced breakfast specials noted on the chalk menu board just outside of the front door. The menu choices were good. Everything listed was available at lunch, including the entrees.

I had the Southwest Burger with onion rings, and my daughter had the Crab cakes. The food arrived in a reasonable period of time, and the plate presentation for both was very good to excellent (see attached photos). The burger was ordered medium rare, and that's exactly how it came. The meat was flavorful, well seasoned and juicy, and came atop a nice soft bun. Fresh lettuce and roma tomato slices came with the burger, as well as two long cut pickle slices and a healthy slice of slightly melted pepper jack cheese. The onion rings were outstanding, and appeared to be homemade. The burger and rings came with a side of ketchup, and a side of chipotle ranch sauce.

My daughter really enjoyed her crab cakes. They were moist, nicely cooked, with a slightly dark crust ringing the cakes on one side. They had a nice crab flavor. No big chunks of crab like you would get in a lump-crab crab cake, but acceptable. The accompanying plated salad was OK, but it was nothing especially noteworthy. It came with two types of shredded cheese, roma tomato slices, and black olives. Something other than just flat leaf lettuce would have been nice for texture, though. The homemade honey mustard dressing was very nice. One of the better honey mustards I have tasted.

Overall we had a nice experience at Cosmo's, but we did not go inside. Thus the interior ambiance is something I cannot comment on. Menu prices were on the better side of reasonable. Crab cakes were priced at about what one would expect. The burger, with the onion rings, was at what I considered to be a very good price. When we commented on how much we liked our meal, we were told by the waitress that with only one exception (I believe she said the Chicken Quesadilla Rolls), everything was made fresh there on the premises. I certainly would believe that looking at the burger, the crab cakes, dressings, etc.

While Cosmo's is not a place you would likely go to impress someone on a first date, it is a great spot to go on a Sunday before a Bengals game, to sit and watch any game, or just to stop and have a reasonably priced meal and a beer. I was pleasantly surprised with the food, would recommend it to a friend, and will definitely go there again.

I just moved to Covington, but places like Cosmo's are a huge reason why I know I'll love it here. Good food (I had the blackened grouper atop rotini) and decent service, although the fact that I was eating at 9:30 on a Thursday night was more to blame than anything. They recently started doing Trivia nights on Thursdays as well, so the inner nerd in me is pretty excited about that. Looking forward to going back!

This is my fav spot on Mainstrasse. I'm not a clubber but this is a good mix of club and bar. The wait at the main bar was insane but they do have a smaller bar by the pool tables which is less crowded (ask if they take credit cards at the small bar, when I went they only took them at the main bar- wtf?!). The DJ was great, keeping people psyched and moving. I loved the diversity of the crowd which is why I am reviewing this place. It is very crowded but the atmosphere makes up for it.

**Beware of the bathrooms- only 2 stalls in the ladies room which makes for VERY long lines, and they have curtains instead of doors, meaning if a drunk girl falls over outside she can literally end up in your lap while you pee! lol**

So I was only there to drink and party not eat. Used to have a upstairs which is gone. replace by a covered courtyard. As most people have stated it is a little crazy, a little ghetto and sometimes a lot of fun. Drinks are not bad,

This mess of a bar takes your credit card AND drivers license to start a tab. That doesn't sound too bad, until you realize that they have lost them both.

Half bar, half night club. All ghetto.

I've had amazing times here but beware of the bathrooms. The upstairs can get insanely crowded and the clientele is the type to grope unsuspecting girls.

I suggest this bar if you're looking to get really crazy with a big group of friends and you don't mind rubbing elbows with the tooth-missing locals. I know I don't.

Great beer selection, and I find the food to be really good. The pizzas are yummy. Agree the place has gotten really big and sometimes it seems like the wait staff can't keep up. Otherwise this is a great place to hang out and sit outside if you can.

Cosmo's Grille & Pub, located in Main Strasse Village in Covington, has sidewalk seating and an extensive beer and liquor menu, as well as food service. The first time I visited, it was a weeknight and we sat outside for a later dinner. We thought the service was lacking and the food was average: sandwiches, pasta, burgers.

But on a second visit, we ate lunch again outside and really liked the fish taco wrap! It was tasty, lightly fried grouper along with some sauce, cheese, and tomatoes. It came with chips and some fresh pico. The cajun bbq chicken wrap was good, too. Pretty spicy, but not too much so. Includes black beans and some jalapeños. We chose pasta salad as the side.

This time the weather was perfect to sit outside and the service was attentive.

Every time I go to Cosmo's, the place keeps expanding. Pretty soon, the bar will take up an entire block of Covington. All kidding aside, this place has enough bar space to quench the thirsts of all the area's frat boys and still have room left over. While I think the recent renovations (i.e. enclosing the back patio and expanding into the adjacent building) have put Cosmo's a cut above Covington's other elbow to elbow bars, I have one major complaint. There are only two bathrooms for women in the whole massive complex! I think I spent more time waiting in line for the restroom than I did enjoying the company of my friends, though the owners are working furiously on this monumental problem, so I've been told.
