Surprisingly awesome happy hour.

Garlic chicken wings are $5 and are so crispy and yum. Pinot Grigio is $5 and also yum. They also have sliders and fish tacos and the like.

The sea bass is also good. I like how it is prepared. It is nice to have dinner and then hit a movie. Pretty good date night.

Here's the inside scoop: This place has one of my favorite happy hours in the city.

Here's why:

- The Garlic Chicken Wings are $5. These are no ordinary wings and they give you at least 8 or 9. They came out pipping hot, extra crispy with loads of fresh minced garlic on top. The bleu cheese it comes with is also house made and ridiculously delicious. I would even go as far as to say these are the best wings I have ever had, and I am a wing fanatic.

- Codwich Sliders are $5 Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Good bun and fresh toppings.

- A side of old bay French Fries is ONLY $1!! WHAT?! Nuff said.

- $3 Domestics, $4 Mixed Drinks, and $5 Wines.

Let me also say that the "well drinks" are not actually wells. Our server let us know that their well whisky was Jack Daniels, and their well gin was New Amsterdam. I got a gin and tonic and my boyfriend got a whisky and we just couldn't believe the prices and the amount they gave us!

I know what you're thinking, this place is a chain, and it's located at Newport on the Levee? Throw out all your inhibitions and get your ass here. You will not regret it.

My boyfriend and I came here on a quiet Tuesday night hoping to spend a relaxing night by the river away from our grad school responsibilities.  Upon entering the resturant, we were kindly escorted to our seats.  The food was average, nothing to brag about really.  However, what I do remember is the way that our waiter treated us.  It wasn't awful, just a tad bit offensive.  Sure, we look young.. we're only 22 after all. However, I would really appreciate if we were treated as adults and not as children.  He was much less serious about his service to us than he did to the older couple at the table next to us. Wouldn't come back here.
