I have wanted to try the 'ButterBurger' forever! I ordered the double butterburger deluxe through the drive-thru. The service was good, fries were also good and the burger looked great!
As I was eating it I realized the burger itself had zero flavor, just bland. Now any decent cook will tell you that you should never flatten your burgers on a grill as it squeezes out all the juices and flavor. I realize that they do that to create the 'char' on the burger, and the char is not the issue. You need to season the meat prior to cooking especially if you flatten out the burger.
The deluxe has a lot of toppings to hide the flavorless burger; mine had lettuce, onion, cheese, mayo, tomato & pickles that were all good but if the meat is bland, it kind of ruins the entire burger.
I realize that this place has a lot of fans so maybe I hit the one day that they ran out of salt and seasoning, I would retry their burgers with a coupon, that way if I'm let down again, it will be at a discount.
This is not good...this is my third Butter Burger in about 5 weeks and the 3rd different Culver's I've been too.
I'm starting to get addicted to this Burger because it reminds me of how good Steak-N-Shake use to taste. Â I do not know what Steak-N-Shake changed but it's not the same anymore. Â Culver's whatever you are doing don't change because I'm a huge fan!!!
The Double Butter Burger is really good. Â I love how the patties are smashed and have that amazing char on them. The vegetables are always fresh too. I think the red onion is the secret weapon...it gives it an amazing taste. Â I also never get mayo on my burgers...mayo will kill you! LOL!!!
This location has a really nice outdoor patio and the weather was perfect today. Â In a few months we will all be forced inside because these tables will be covered in snow. Â
Culver's keep making this yummy burger and I will keep coming back for more!!!
