first I have to address the "good for kids" in the restaurant description. Â This is a bar first and foremost. Â 1/8/12 at 3:30 PM I witnessed a large group of college age guys (mainly) and girls all visibly intoxicated and drinking very heavily, being loud and boisterous, and playing their own music very loudly. Â If that's what you want your kids around, then go for it.
The good: Â the bartenders, they will remember your name and are most friendly.
The bad: Â The wait staff tend to be curt, the mixed drinks are expensive, and the food is straight off a Sysco truck. Â Saving grace? Â The french fries have a great batter.
Xmas day report: full menu available, comfortable outside seating and a direct beach view. Â Nice! Â Service was polite, if not totally attentive; but that is forgiven with such a great view! Â Buffalo wings were above average, with a tasty sauce and blue cheese/celery. Â Burger was decent, if a tad dry, but full of meaty flavor. Â Coconut shrimp has hot and crispy, although certainly frozen from a bag. Â Artichoke dip was also decent; nothing great, but it hit the spot. Â Drinks were average to good, and the prices were fair for beachfront cocktails. Â Overall, a decent dive bar with a great view. Â Worth a quick stop.
