Good food (including extensive hot sauce selection), nice remodel, cool vibe, friendly staff and patrons, not really hipster (yet), tons of TV's that they'll change to whatever game you want upon request, happy hour specials, and crazy cheap beers by the pitcher (pitchers of Sculpin for $8 and they put that little frozen wand in your pitcher to keep the beer cold!). Way better than the place that was here previously in all respects.
Everything food-wise we've had here has been solid: burgers, fish tacos, wings (chicken and pork - yum!), salsa, shrimp po' boy, and fries. Food service is really fast too when they're not very busy.
What a great place! Cheap beers with a wide selection from Pacifico to Ballast PZoint. Food that is far above the standard pub food coupled with a fun and upbeat staff... What is not to love!?! Do yourself a favor and check out the best place to grab a fantastic bite to eat, an inexpensive pint and a great vibe in North Park!
Review Source:Finally, a perfect all around sports bar in North Park. A lil small but fits the perfect amount of people with every seat in viewing range of a TV. The menu has yet to disappoint me. I tried 4 things on the menu and it beats out any sports bar food I've had. It's proportion to price ratio is phenomenal. Also, a vast selection of draft and bottled beer. Sculpin on tap! Hell yes
Review Source:Wow, like others have said, finally a bar in North Park without hipsters and handlebar mustaches. Â And with GREAT FOOD, too!
Had the cheeseburger, a big, fat juicy 1/2 pound patty cooked to perfection, on a delicious bun and with plenty of fixings. Â Fries were great, too, big steak fries that were neither over or under cooked, but just right. Â Topped off with a cold beer, a half dozen big ol flat screen TVs showing games, and I couldn't have been more happy. Â Great people working there, too. Â Cheers and like Arnold said in Terminator, I'LL BE BACK!
Finally! Â A bar in North Park that isn't full of hipsters wearing skinny jeans and sporting handle-bar mustaches. Â
Endzone is a sports bar and pub with a really great, friendly, down-to-earth vibe and with food that's way better than it needs to be.  Amidst a sea of establishments that all tend to feature some variation of sweet potato fries/loaded tater tots/mac 'n cheese, the Endzone serves up the best version of Shrimp Scampi since Peohe's Fire Shrimp, and I LOVE Peohe's Fire Shrimp!!  Endzone's Hot  & Spicy Shrimp were perfectly seasoned; neither the spices nor the butter overpowered each other.  Take note that the "Spicy" here is flavorful spicy, not chilli pepper hot spicy.  Being Mexican, I decided to kick it up a little notch by adding (literally) a few drops of lemon juice and wow!!!  Trust me, the shrimp didn't need any help from me, but the acidity just added a different dimension.
Forgot to mention that the salsa includes shrimp, so this seafood-loving girl was in heaven!!!
I managed to tear myself away from the Hot & Spicy Shrimp long enough to try the BBQ Sauced Hogwings, and I was glad I did. Â I'm normally not too big a fan of pork (bacon excepted) or of BBQ sauce, but I really enjoyed this dish because the BBQ sauce was not cloying the way some of it tends to be. Â The pork came off the bone easily and cleanly, and it was so tender! Â
The steamed clams...STEAMED CLAMS! Â So good. Â The sauce was nice and buttery/garlicky with white wine. Â I think I could have just drank it by itself, but man was it good with bread.
There were also beer battered shrimp, which I also enjoyed because the batter was light and crisp. Â These were accompanied by a sweet chilli dipping sauce, which was really good, although I wouldn't complain if a little more heat were added, but overall the balance of the heat/sweet was right on.
Truly, there was no surprise as to why I was somehow 3 pounds heavier when I stepped on the scale the next day, but my philosophy is that as long as I enjoyed what I ate, then I have the rest of the week to remedy the scale situation. And I did enjoy Endzone very much! Â The food was delicious, the vibe was friendly and unpretentious, and I look forward to many outings there.
North Park finally has a bona fide sports bar for anyone who wants to see every football, basketball, baseball or hockey game! Â Multiple big screen TVs line the walls so you can keep up on all of the action.
The bar specializes in serving beer and really focuses on local brews too. Â I had an Oatmeal Stout draft that was tasty. Â My friend stuck with white wine for the afternoon. Â But keep in mind that they are not a full bar - beer, wine and cider only.
Let's talk about the food, for this place SHINES in that arena. Â While the place serves up burgers and typical pub fare, the owner/chef offers a lot more refined options too. Â My friend and I sampled:
**Chips and Salsa - the salsa is made up of diced tomatoes, onion, and cilantro, but there are also baby shrimp in it, so it is pretty much a ceviche style treat.
**Hot & Spicy Shrimp - this is like a scampi style shrimp, where the little fellas sit in butter and spices waiting to be devoured. Â The spices are nice and firey, but not overwhelming at all. Â It is served along side garlic toast slices for a substantial dish.
**BBQ Sauced Hogwings - you read that right; HOG-WINGS! Â As in porky goodness, not chicken. Â It tastes like carnitas wrapped in bacon and they are little nuggets of meat on a wee bone. Â I ordered it with BBQ sauce and this is one of my favorite dishes they are serving up. Â You MUST order these!
**Beer battered shrimp with chili dipping sauce - the shrimp are coated nicely and the batter is not too thick, so you can still taste the little crustaceans. Â The chili dipping sauce has a little bit of sweetness, so it is nice and balanced. Â I loved this dish!
**Steamed Clams - swimming in a butter & white wine sauce with garlic and served up with garlic toast, these baby clams are perfect for snacking and can easily be a meal.
The service here is awesome, with a nice, upbeat staff and they tend to the tables nicely, keeping waters filled and empty plates cleared away. Â
The decor here is fun, with lots of football decor and flags, plus paintings of various fans. Â The place is very bright and lit up during the day, which is a contrast from the Foundry, which always seemed so dark.
Bring your friends out for game day here!!!! Â Tom and his staff will treat you like family!
