This bar was a fun retreat to end the evening after a good dinner in Westport. The $5 cover was unexpected, and I was really bummed when I sat down at our table and checked in on yelp, only to find that there was a check in bonus...free admission! Lesson learned, always check in before entering, ha.
We were on the older end of the age spectrum, but the music was fabulous and all from our era. I guess that just proves that we had better music "back in the day," even the "youngsters" today will pay to hear it!
The piano players were very talented and personable. There were lots of birthday celebrations (oh to be 25 again) and they handled them all in different and unique ways, so it didn't get redundant.
Great fun, decent drinks/prices, and good music. Please just clean up the bathrooms!

Wednesday night dollar night + $10 cover. First time here as I'd thought this place was just another version of Howl at the Moon. It basically was another version just more trashy, sloppy, rude than Howl at the Moons. I guess that's the crowd you attract at Westport on dollar nights...

Music is pretty decent as the dueling pianists  will talk to you and make jokes regarding stuff/Jayhawk partisanship.

Pretty decent place to go with friends but not the place if you're expecting something along the lines of a nicer/classier piano bar.

My wife and I went here with a group of friends Saturday night and had a decent time. But the $5 cover charge was a bummer because I would have been able to afford more drinks if I hadn't had to pay it and  I didn't see the check-in offer until after we went. It is my personal opinion that cover charge should be reserved for minors.

We had reserved tables up front online ahead of time so had no worries of not getting seats. At the beginning of the night we were able to hear each other and chat but by the time 9:30 or 10pm hit the music was so loud we were unable to socialize.  I of course made a few requests and they were played but a friend waited over an hour to hear her request and we ended up leaving before it was played. That was sort of a bummer for her. I liked some of the renditions of the requested songs but others I was just wishing the band/players would just actually sing the song correctly and not mess around as much.

The piano players were very talented and also played electric guitar accompanied by a drummer. I felt the guitars and drums made a nice addition to the pianos and gave the songs more body.

There were several people celebrating birthdays, bachelorette parties, and so forth. And for the small fee of $20 they will bring the birthday person or bachelorette up and embarrass them by singing a crude song or making them do the dirty hokie-pokie dance. This was quite entertaining. One bachelorette in particular was so drunk she continually went uninvited on stage and began air humping the female piano player. It was funny at first, but then annoying; the piano players handled it like champs and were able to redirect her most of the time.

I ordered the $12 'fish bowl' which was some concoction of liquor and orange/pineapple juice. It tasted nice and came in a little plastic fish bowl. Although I was disappointed at how small the fish bowl was for $12 and how little liquor it contained.

All in all I had a good time listening to the pianos and people watching. Sure, I'll go again but not if my intent is to chat with friends or family.

Heads up: The bathrooms were NASTY... It looked like they had intentions of making them classy with stone sinks and such but it was dirty and gross so that didn't work out.

Also, there was some creeper walking around that looks like Ron Jeremy. He just kept walking around the bar and staring at people... creepy.

Tip: This bar is not in the best part of town so do not go alone and park somewhere near the parking lots that have a police presence.
