Ordered the Pandoras Box pizza tonight and boy was it terrible! Almost indelible, made me think twice about ever eating pizza again and that's like a meat eater turning vegan.
I know it's expensive but for that price you expect something good. There was so much tomato sauce that you couldn't taste anything else. The crust was like chewing cardboard but not as much fun.
What happened? Did they change owners or something? I remember it used to be really good.
Hot damn, that was a good pizza.
This is a short review as I ordered online and have only been in the store once for an unrelated matter, but it bears repeating. I ordered an extra-large meat-filled pizza called Everest and decided it needed even more dead animal, so I tossed an extra helping of bacon on top. It was pretty pricy at almost 30$ for the pie, though I'm sure half of the cost was in paying for the delivery man's gym membership so he could lift the thing to my doorstep.
As he lifted it out of the bag, I heard him audibly wince at the sheer heft of the monster. I laughed and then nearly fell over as he handed me the 10 lb dumbbell made of rendered animal flesh.
I dragged the bounty inside and upon opening the lid to my unsuspecting meal, I surveyed the pizza, taking account of its five meat types and several cheeses, and slowly and carefully dissected one of its eight pieces for consumption.
The steam loftily floated upwards and as the effluvia entered my nostrils, my eyes widened, a bead of sweat rolled down my cheek -- or was it a tear? -- and I unleashed an assault onto the slice.
Joy streamed into my veins as taste exploded in each crevasse of my tongue, whipping the flavors into sparks of exuberance as I hungrily devoured the very essence of pizza.
As nothing remained but the still warm crumbs from the remains, I unleashed a raw, visceral roar reserved for the most monumental of trophy kills, my appetite would be sated that day.
So yeah, it's a pretty good pizza.
It's funny how excellent customer service can make your 3 stars to 4 and turn you into a fan!
I've been passing this place for months... and finally had a chance to try it .... solely because, my fave pizza spot is only 1 street over (refer to 800 degree review)..
But, the hubby isn't all into the fancy schmancy stuff that 800 has to offer, and extreme pizza is more his style... the basics - pizza, beer, good soda. Â
$13 for lunch - 2 slices of pizza (technically it can be 4 because their slices are HUGE!) half a dozen wings and a soda. Â I had the Pandora slice which was very good and hubby had the pepperoni... overall I'd say 3 stars...
But their sandwiches and happy hour are definitely something to return for!!
As far as my earlier comment about the customer service, I wanted to point out that 3 star food can easily become a 4 star rating when you have excellent customer service! The person at the front counter was very engaging, and helpful. Â
I thought it was just us, but, the other customers after us, he totally went out of his way each time to make a connection with each one!
I work in an industry that is driven by customer service. Â
So, when I experience excellent customer service in other industries, I appreciate it very much, and take note of it! Â
Nice job management, hire more employees just like your westwood lunch crew on 5/1/2013!
Hello Friday, where have you been all week? Props to Extreme Pizza for delivering us an interesting end-of-week pizza party loaded with Vietnamese-Italian-American flavors and some of the more creative menu item names we've ever seen!
"Endless Summer Calzone" (3.5/5): Filled with softened artichoke hearts, sweet onions, mushroom pieces, and two cheeses, this romantically named calzone with a densely braided crust slices up easily into shareable finger food portions. Would have liked for this to come with a marinara dip to make our calzone a full four out of five, but it was no trouble to improvise with our own sauce at home.
"Bahn in the USA Sandwich" (4/5): Spicy sweet shredded pork carefully layered with a hoisin sauce-flavored veggie and nutty pate on a lightly toasted ciabatta roll, makes a tasty variation of the classic bahn mi. If you're not a jalapeno fan, be ready to dig out a few of these spicy guys!
"Original Buffalo Wings - Dozen" (3/5): The only item we ordered that could benefit from a much more extreme name on the menu! Fatty skinned, small chicken wings are good and packed with hot flavor, but not in any stand out way. Comes with a couple of creamy, cool ranch dipping sauces and room temperature carrot and celery sticks.
"Pow Pows" (3.5/5): Pow Pows are twisted sticks of super dense pizza dough doused with liberal amounts of icing sugar and Hershey chocolate sauce. The repetitive pull-and-chew action required to enjoy a Pow Pow makes it a bit of an after-dinner, lower facial workout, but that won't keep you from enjoying this chocolatey treat. Consider them to be highly edible, dessert bone chew toys for humans!
A pretty great start to the weekend so far, this order was our third Extreme experience (they offer a decent pizza and pitcher deal inside their restaurant) and second delivery. We've only just begun to graze the menu! After the third taste, we've had enough to know we'd like to continue to get to know this Westwood pizzeria better, so it looks like Extreme Pizza will officially become a part of our late night dinner rotation from now on.
I never write reviews..but just had to. The pizza was HORRIBLE! I honestly don't know why anyone would order Pizza from here. My friend in San Francisco recommended it and I ordered from the Westwood, CA branch. Pizza arrived over an hour later... so cold we had to re-heat in the oven Even after that..it was absolutely worst than a frozen pizza you buy from the super market. Plus we spent $40 for two medium pizzas. Will never order from here again. Never.
Review Source:Ordered delivery ... pizza is not exactly thin crust but thin enough ... it is on par with Enzos. Â If you like cheddar cheese mixed with the mozzarella you will love it ... I am not a fan of that combo but it does make the pizza more chewy. Â Overall - I think it is just OK ... the sauce is key to me and this was not all that flavorful - had to add spices. Â LK
Review Source:If you like pizza then you'll LOVE this place! Extreme pizza is down right delicious! Perfect crust on every slice and consistent ingredients throughout! I truly enjoy The Everest: Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, beef meatball, tomato sauce, mozzarella and cheddar. Ok, my mouth just watered! That pie is superb!! Loaded with meat and coated in scrumptious sauce! And the cheddar makes it all better! I'm also a huge wing fan! There's nothing more that I adore than hot wings! And their Wingin' It pizza is heavenly! Chicken marinated in a buffalo wing sauce, gorgonzola, mozzarella and celery. Ok, you're probably thinking "celery? Really?" HELL YES!! It adds that little bit of nutritious crunch that parks momentarily on your pallet before you get that burst of other worldly hot wing! I lived in NY and let me tell you, Extreme Pizza is the one stop shop for a personal pie. And if you're forced to share...ok, go BIG! The prices are more than reasonable and your taste buds will be begging you to go back!
Review Source:"U...C....LLLLL....A! U-C-L-A F* SC!" As the crowd in brewco was excitedly celebrating the latest Bruins WIN over the Trojans in the 2012 Rivalry game with an 8 clap, a nice tall guy came in and gave everyone business cards for "free pizza" next door to celebrate!
Having stood 7 hours in the rain to watch my Bruins win, and being a few beers into my night, nothing sounded better than few slices of free pizza! I'd had extreme pizza before, at Cal, and I knew I liked it! We meandered over to extreme after a few more drinks to redeem our coupons. I was shocked to see it kinda empty,....did people not get those free pizza coupons? Above all, I wanted to support any local Westwood business that was good to its community, and giving Bruins free celebratory pizza is definitely being good to your community. Kudos, extreme pizza!
Walked in and thought i would get a cheese or pepperoni. To my delight, they were making our free slices up to order, like a legit pizza that I was paying for, and they gave each person 2 slices instead of one. When my friend said he was full, the awesome pizzaioli told him to just get it to go and eat it tomorrow, no sense in not getting a free pizza! So, we ordered the Screaming Tomato (Vine ripe tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, mozzarella and cheddar). The pizzas here are "gourmet" in ingredients but not in pretention. I love that. It tastes fresh, light, quality, without being heavy and greasy. But it doesn't taste like a chef's pizza, which is just about the last thing I'd ever want if I were truly craving a good old pizza.
I dropped my business card into the jar, and they called me a few days later, telling me I had won a free personal pizza! SCORE! I got a free entire pizza from my free 2 slices. This place just rocks!
Came back, and had the Green with Envy pizza before another UCLA basketball win over Cal , and it was equally delicious, fresh, light! Would recommend all their pizzas that I've tried.
Also noticed they have all night Happy Hour on Monday Night Football days!
Loving this addition to Westwood Village! Will surely be back, thanks for supporting the Bruins guys!
Sadly had to knock off 2 stars after multiple delivery orders being incorrect. They ALWAYS, ALWAYS forget something...ranch...soda...toppings. The pizzas and wings are usually tasty when they get everything right. I suggest picking up any orders because the delivery time is about 1 hour.
Review Source:I never tried their Pizza but their Chicken Buffalo Wings has just enough kick for me! (Compared to my friends, I have mild tolerance for spicy) Just enough buffalo sauce glazed over every meaty chicken wing! Their ranch dipping sauce was delicious!
As a standard, you do get a few pieces of celery and carrots with every order of wings.
To my surprise, this place is pretty good. I had pretty low expectations because for some reason every time a food place chooses some quirky title for its name, I'm often left disappointed. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza which was delicious. I also like the fact that this place offers personal size pizzas. I will definitely come back here very soon. I recommend it anyone out there who is a pizza lover.
Review Source:Came here on a couple occasions for lunch with coworkers (their decision). Never had much desire to order pizza from here, especially when it's so close to the much better pizzeria just around the block, so I end up ordering their salads. I know, it's "just a salad," but I'll review it anyway. They're pretty generous in size and their grilled chicken is actually half decent and tender. The lettuce doesn't always seem too fresh, but it'll do. The last time I came with our group, everyone else (5 people) but me ordered pizza/hot food. But strangely somehow, my salad came out last and also after much delay...after everyone had already started eating their food. Huh?? A salad doesn't even require cooking...logically it should be the fastest order among our group to be served. Yet, I ended up having to go up to the register to remind them that I was still waiting on my food.
The place is pretty small and cramped. Don't expect much seating if you have a group of more than four. The place seemed more designed for take out rather than eat in. Staff weren't very friendly or welcoming, and the place could have been cleaner. I'd probably only come here by choice if all other pizza places in the area were closed and I was dying to get a slice of pie.
Was not a great experience. Â They deliver to UCLA Medical Center, which was great. Â I had the buffalo wings, which were not hot as advertised. Â I know I like stuff hotter than usual, but these could not pass for medium. Â The pizza was similar. Â The sauce was not of a great flavor. Â Too much cilantro for my taste, but it was listed as an ingredient, so I guess it was a caveat emptor situation. Â Service was friendly and polite, and delivery was quick. Â Just not my taste I guess on the food.
Review Source:(IF YOU THINK PARKING MIGHT BE A BEE-YOTCH, READ THE END.)
So I was looking for a relatively inexpensive place close by that I could patronize in order to earn my Delta Skymiles Dining new member bonus. Â EP was just down the street, so I went online to place an order for pickup 20 minutes later.
The $5 off code I was emailed didn't work on their website, but I called and the guy I spoke to promised to honor it at checkout. Â I ended up ordering a "Huge" Railroad Grade and adding smoked bacon in order to get the order over $30 (I had to spend $25 total to qualify for the SkyMiles bonus, plus I had the $5 off coupon).
So I head down there and proceed to look for parking for over 20 minutes. Â No joke! Â There was no street parking (metered) available, and every time I swung around the block, I got stuck in a half block of traffic (this was Thursday around 6:30pm). Â I even decided to just pay for parking in the lot right next to the store, but I drove in and it was full! Â AND it had a dead end. Â So cars had to take turns turning around in the DP spot at the end. Â I finally just parked in the Trader Joe's lot and decided I'd grab a couple things after picking up the pizza.
It took a couple minutes before either of the employees noticed me standing at the register. Â There were only a couple other customers there; one employee was cleaning tables and watching the football game while another was busy in the kitchen.
When I told the guy at the register about my parking experience, he gave me a parking ticket to use for free parking. Â Is this a new thing? Â WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY YELP ABOUT THIS BEFORE?! Â So apparently the chaser ticket is good at either the lot next door or at the TJ's lot since they're operated by the same company. Â You just put your parking stub in the machine at the exit, and when it prompts you to pay, you insert the chaser ticket. Â I'm not sure how long it's good for since I was only parked for about ten minutes.
Pizza was good. Â Worker was nice.
I recently learned this place is under new management. Â The new manager contacted me and was very apologetic about my bad experience. Â I went in to get a pizza and the new manager was very friendly and the service seemed better as well. Â
I had the "Drag through the Garden" pizza, which is one of the better veggie pizzas I've had. Â Also, Extreme Pizza honored my request to cook the pizza longer to make the crust a little crispy. Â Thanks!
This is basically a good version of a Papa John's pizza. You know that too-sweet tomato sauce? Yes, it's that..but on a very good, very crispy crust. Their cheese is pretty good too.
So why two stars?
Because the service was terrible.
me: when you get a second, could i get a glass of water?
employee: sigh. just take a cup. *points at cups behind register* TAKE A CUP.
Everything was sigh-inducing for this guy, like I was being a complete jerk for wanting to give him money in exchange for food. "Can I get some chili flakes?" "Ughhhh"
Note to the owner: Your guy ruined an otherwise pretty good slice of pizza. I won't be back.
This is one of my favorite places to go to for lunch.
The pizza's are good, but the sandwiches are even better.
"Bahn in the USA" (a Vietnamese Bahmi sandwich with a twist)
This sandwich is amazing, I highly suggest it to anyone looking for something very different and spicy.
 - a little tip, order a side of ranch, and dip your sandwich in it, diet buster I know!
They're a little slow with getting your food out, but it's only because they make everything from scratch!!
I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I first tried this place out being that it was super empty. I couldn't even smell the sweet aroma of pizza in the place. Being that 800 Degrees was jam packed, and I had a major craving for pizza, I had to try this out....and I am sure happy I did!
Extreme Pizza has a number of gooey with cheese, greasy, meaty, and yummy options. On the other hand, there are some healthier options as well (IE gluten free and whole wheat crust, no cheese, all veggie options, ect. I went with a half naughty/ half nice option. I order a medium Yard Sale / White Out pizza on Wheat. Both were super flavorful, and definitely fulfilled my craving.
The Yard Sale - Oozing with fresh cheese, crispy Salami, and flavorful veggies.
The White Out - The low fat option, but still delicious. There's no cheese, but the tomato sauce base is absolutely divine. The veggies seem roasted, prior to being topped onto the pizza.
My conclusion - This place definitely gets overlooked due to its unfortunate location, and lack of marketing. Extreme Pizza is located on Glendon Avenue, just down the street from Trader Joes. There's not much going on this street, so I can see how folks just walk past to head to 800 Degrees, which unfortunately for this place, is walking distance away.
The food is delicious, and the staff are quite friendly. I just hope patrons give this place a try to give it a standing chance in the mean streets of Westwood. Delivery option is also super fast.
Ordered from these guys and called ahead to clarify what "soy cheese" meant (ie is it vegan). They said it was, so I went ahead and ordered. It definitely didn't look like Daiya, but I thought there may be a new brand, who knows, so I didn't question it too much.
Fast forward to now when I find out that not only does their soy cheese have caesin (an assuredly non-vegan milk protein) in it, but they also put egg in their pizza dough!! Who does that?? And more importantly, if I call you asking all these pain in the ass questions about the vegan nature of your soy cheese (I know it's annoying, I expressed my undying gratitude and was polite, and the person I was talking to was just dismissive and rude...should've gotten the hint then), how can you NOT mention that your pizza dough has egg in it? Seriously, WTF.
More importantly, how about you start using Daiya so that you can appeal to vegans? the vegan population in the US has doubled in the last 3 years - DOUBLED. And we have lots of money that we would like to give to you for your exorbitantly priced pizza. Daiya is ok for those who are lactose-intolerant AND vegan. It's a win-win. I just figure if you are going to bother carrying soy cheese, why not carry a vegan one? I would love to be a customer and give you 5 stars!
Also the delivery guy was really nice. But phone person was a shit, so I figure that cancels out the one pro in this experience.
FOOD: Good portion of toppings, cheese, and sauce. Veggies were fresh and I got my pizza hot out of the oven.
SERVICE: Great! I didn't know what to get and decided on a half and half pizza recommended by the Owner based on a brief conversation of my likes and dislikes and it couldn't have been a better choice for me.
My boss treated me and my fellow coworkers to lunch here on a Friday, and the restaurant was not very crowded. It's a relatively small place with just a few tables, and can fit a few groups of 2-3 people. Don't think about coming here with a big crowd; there won't be enough tables unless you combine every table in the restaurant.
Awesome/creative pizza names, alright pizza. We tried the Everest (meaty pizza) and the Pandora's Box (veggie pizza with artichokes). Both were kind of greasy, and the flavors of the meaty Everest overpowered the veggie because it was so salty and was like a meat party in your mouth (sausages/pepperoni/salami combined)! The Everest was pretty good though. Unfortunately, the pizza was relatively pricey. Large pizzas are about $20, and come with about 8-10 slices. They are also thin crust.
The hot wings they have here are pretty typical. Baked, not battered and fried. But it was pretty soft. Would've liked more wing sauce though.
Since it's more of a to-go restaurant, don't expect much service other than the servers taking your orders at the register and bringing your food.
For parking, you can probably find metered parking around the area or near the Trader Joe's lot. Parking's usually a nightmare in Westwood anyways, so good luck with that!
Helpful hint: There are a few TV screens on the wall, so come here if you'd like to watch the game while grabbing a quick bite.
We ordered the Green With Envy pizza. Â It is has pesto sauce, tomatoes and feta. Â The tomatoes were almost green, so it almost ruined the pizza. Â We really couldn't taste the basil enough, but the crust was good and the cheese was good quality cheese. Â Service was excellent and the atmosphere was fine. Â It was a typical small pizza joint.
Review Source:I tried out Extreme Pizza a couple times when it opened in spring 2011 and stopped in again this evening on the way back from the gym. I won't be coming here again. At 9 pm there was one table of 4 people who had already been served. I was told that my pizza to go would take about 10 minutes. Instead when I checked back after 20 minutes of waiting, I found that my pizza had not even gone in the oven yet because it had been bumped for several slices for someone who'd come in after me. When I complained, the guy blew me off without so much as an apology. I still can't believe that it took 25 minutes to make a pizza when I was the only person placing an order, nor that they bumped my pizza for someone who came in after me. Â
Regarding the pizza itself, the tomato sauce tasted metallic and the crust was leathery by the time I'd gotten it home, 10 minutes later. To add injury to the insult, I had ordered one of their veggie pizzas with added pepperoni--for which I was charged. I was unable to find any pepperoni on the pizza when I got home.
The inordinately long wait also led me to examine the kitchen area behind the counter for the first time. Instead of an actual pizza oven--much less a wood-fired brick oven--the pizzas here are baked in a glorified version of those conveyor-belt toasters they use in cafeterias. Small wonder the crust left something to be desired.
I had experienced mediocre service the previous couple of times I'd been here, but had put that down to lunchtime rush and the newness of the staff. The pizza was ok and they had some interesting options for toppings. They've now been open nearly a year, but I was treated with casual rudeness and not given the toppings that I was charged for.
If you still want to go, it's basically a lunch counter masquerading as a pizzeria/sports bar. There are several large-screen TVs mounted on the wall showing various sports games. You order at a counter from a list of pizzas that are more exciting in concept than in execution, and then you wait for a fairly long time to have your pizza brought to the table.
The location is not great, as it's easy to walk past without noticing. I can only imagine that the recent opening of 800 Degrees Pizza a couple blocks away is going to hurt. I'll be sticking to 800 Degrees in the future, or make the trek down to Pitfire if I want the more exotic toppings.
update: The manager contacted me after reading this review, to apologize and to investigate. It seems that my pizza was accidentally sent out with the delivery courier, and so they were making a second pizza for me--though without an explanation and forgetting that I'd paid for extra pepperoni. The manager seems very concerned, which makes me hopeful that my experience was an isolated incident.
Staff is extremely friendly here. Pizza here is average but I like the amount of vegetarian and gluten free choices available. I also like the thin crust. I enjoyed the spinach salad here. It was very good. Don't waste any money on the cookies. They were hard as a rock. If you sign up for their email they are always sending out coupons.
Review Source:Extreme Pizza...extremely expensive.
A medium pizza of one of their specials is $17.
That being said I liked it. It was slow during lunch hour- there were places to sit. The pizza was a lot like Enzo's, but Enzo's has much better deals. Extreme pizza definitely has more combo options and toppings- and places to sit! Can I say it again? Places to sit!
They do have wheat/gluten free/cheese-free options for those of you watching what you eat.
Extreme Pizza is a fun place! Love the decor, staff is friendly, and the prices are fair for the quality of food. On the pricy side but in my opinion sometimes you get what you pay for... and such is true here.
Unfortunately this place is on the backside of Glendon so it is not well-placed... apparently it had been here for months and I didn't even notice. I hope their location doesn't lead to their downfall.
From their Banh in the USA sandwich, I am impressed. Such a dense sandwich in a small package, I was satisfied. Â I'll try some pizza next time.
A friendly staff and a GIGANTIC menu:
Sandwiches:
This is one of my regular spots for lunch and since I'm big on sandwiches, I've tried every sandwich on the menu. Order the Ultimate (toasted w/ turkey and provolone) it's your best bet. If you're picking up your sandwich order, it usually takes about 10 minutes.
Pizza:
I haven't tasted all of their selections because they have such a wide variety but I can honestly say their pizza is worth the price. *Pick up usually takes about 20 minutes for an individual pizza.
Salad:
If you go for the Caesar Salad, get it with BBQ Chicken. In my opinion it tastes better than the grilled chicken.
Pros: fresh ingredients, friendly staff, hefty menu, intimate setting, television
Cons: a little pricer than your usual joint. I'm broke half the time. I gotta save those quarters for the bus!
There are businesses beneath the Palazzo?! Well, aside from Rite Aid.
Seemed like a small joint, with their sports programs going on.
The pizza we got was pretty good, but my complaint was the pedestrian customer service. We were the only customers in the place, but we were treated as just...whatever.
I'd meant to try this place ever since it opened. I'm not such a fan of the rival pizza joints in Westwood so I was hoping Extreme would offer a tastier slice.
First things first: the interior. "extreme" apparently refers to the fact that you will be surrounded by tacky skateboard decor. The restaurant is set up nicely with a fair amount of seating. But nothing special.
I ordered a slice with pepperoni. $4.08. Pricey, but if the pizza is so "extreme" I'll take it. I gave the guy $20.25 so as to not walk away with a pocket full of change. He gives me...wait for it...$15.92 back. Fine. I don't care enough to confuse the employee by bringing up the fact that he's absconded with my quarter.
I waited for the pizza. The slice comes out and the guy takes a pizza cutter and...cuts the slice in half. WTF? Why? I didn't ask for that. I don't need help eating my pizza. You might as well cut it into bite sized portions for me. My god.
I digress. The pizza was topped (on top of the topping) with a thick layer of white and yellow cheese. I assume the yellow was cheddar because the cheese was way too sharp for the pizza. What a waste. The sauce tasted overly sweet, and I really like sweet foods. This pizza was nearly indistinguishable from Papa John's.
For a pizza place proclaiming itself to be "extreme, not mainstream!" their pizza is unconscionably mainstream. And way overpriced.
What a disappointment!
I was walking to the bank and saw PIZZA. Of course I had to try it.
Fairly new spot in Westwood Village. They opened in June. Everything is customizable -- from size (individual to large), crust (gluten and wheat options), sauce (from tomato to pesto to hoisen to ranch, etc!), cheese, spices, AND toppings. See the full list here: http://extremepizza.com/…
OR
You can order one of their themed "Extreme Pizzas" where they have all types of pizzas for whatever mood you might be in for: Italian, Veggie, Mediterranean, Mexican, South, etc. I tried Pandora's Box -- sauceless pizza with spinach, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, feta and other spices. It was made to order, with a fairly thin crust and tons of toppings. I got tomato sauce on the side (no charge) and it had a bit of zing to it that was pretty tasty. I ended up dipping the crust into the sauce (normally not a crust person).
It's a little too premature to say if I'm a fan of this place. I devoured the pizza but then again, I was really really hungry at the time. I like the concept here a LOT better than CPK, but I'm not a fan of CPK in the first place. I'll have to try it again before I can update this review.
I stumbled upon Extreme Pizza completely by accident, and it's a nice space with your standard pizzas but they also have some slightly unusual toppings like hummus, black bean & salsa, shredded pork and a few others. Â I ordered my standard Canadian bacon & mushroom, so that I could make a true apples-to-apples comparison. Â I got the lunch special that comes with salad, pizza & drink for $8.
The salad is nothing special, and your dressing comes in a small cup on the side. Â The pizza tasted OK to me - a slightly industrial crust and nice toppings, but overall it's nothing better or worse than what I could make at home. Â I think a neighborhood comparison is fair in this case, and Enzo's has a thinner, crisper crust and better-tasting sauce, so I'm rating down slightly. Â I checked the bottom of the pizza and it was well-browned, so I'm not talking about whether the pizza stayed in the oven long enough. Â It's just a matter of the way it bakes up.
The people behind the register are friendly, and it's a very clean restaurant with nice LG flatscreen TVs and self-service drinks. Â The menu also includes calzones, sandwiches, hot wings and a few other items but I'm so-so on the pizza. Â Next time, probably going to Enzo's.
We have been waiting for this place to open for a long time so instead of our usual Glendon run we tried extreme pizza to-go when we saw that it had finally opened.
Our Report Card:
The service...A+
The Gluten Free pizza crust...A+ (Best GF I have ever had)
The toppings...A+
(We had spinach, artichoke hearts, and caramelized onions with the cheese ON TOP and it was Fantastic!)
The sauce...B
our only compliant was the sauce was bland and flavorless. This isn't a reason not to go back.
We plan on enjoying a GF pizza from here at least once a week!!
