Giordano's Famous Stuffed Pizza

I ordered a stuffed pizza with spinach for a Friday night dinner during Lent,. The website seems a bit basic, but it worked well and they take you to a tracker which was very accurate in tracking the progress of your pizza. Chicago pizzas do take a while to prepare, so I wasn't surprised at the one hour wait time. The delivery driver delivered the food right to my apartment, which was nice. The pizza was excellent. Yes, it is heavy on the cheese, the sauce is mild, the crust is excellent. I choose to heat the pizza up for a few minutes, but it was warm enough to eat after the delivery in cold weather.

It's good, but the question is, is it amazing? I think it all depends on what flavors someone chooses. I thought it was OK. I'm giving it 3 stars because I do believe we waited 40+ mins to get our small stuffed pizza. We even ordered before we got seated and I think it took ridiculously long. I wasn't super impressed by the pizza. However, it does have its charm being in the city. I do love stuffed pizza, but wasn't blown away by the food here. However, I would try the place again with friends!

When I first set foot in to Giordanos pizzeria, all I could remember was the steamy smell of well already well done pizzas hit my nose. It was sensational. As soon as we were seated the waitress came to take our orders. She was very jokey, till the point that I wish I remembered some of her jokes. The surprise was that we didn't even have to wait that long. However any wait at this place is worth it.

The atmosphere just seems to draw you in. I was overwhelmed at the size of the pizza when it was brought to the table. The thought never occurred to me, that I would get a pizza that I may not be able to finish. As I recall I only finished two slices and the second was a bit of a struggle. If it weren't for the delicious taste, I may not have gotten through the first slice. This pizza was seasoned right had extra cheese but to me had too much sauce.

Despite this minor problem getting more than what I bargained for is always a plus in my book. It'll take more than an extra dosage of tomato sauce to keep me away. I'm with Chris T who says the "pizza is super cheesy, and if your lactose intolerant this isn't the place for you." I agree Giordanos is a place that is strictly for cheese lovers, let alone pizza lovers.
