I have drivin past this place many a times and my curiosity drew me in.  I have a hard time finding good seafood without the frills, so I had my hopes up.
Such a lovely dive, if fancy is what you're after, keep driving; as for me, I loved it!  I sat under the green tarp held up by unadorned 4 by 4s and watched the boats go by.

As for the food, I has the fish and fries, but I am excited to try more on my next visit.  The tilapia is filleted thin and seasoned lightly, with a little heat.

For a good lunch for less than $10, I will most certainly be back.

Had the sampler platter and fish-n-chips; both were excellent! The tilapia is very lightly fried and perfect with their specialty sauce. The service was great too, definitely making this a regular stop!

I love this venue...I still miss the Boo Riley fish ruebens with sweet potato fries.  Unfortunately there's nothing key west about the key west fish - the fries are pre-frozen, there was inexplicibly a baby carrot and a cherry tomato shoved in my tiny cole slaw.  I wish them luck and hope they begin to offer a meaningful beer selection but I probably won't be back.

I just noticed the restaurant a few weeks ago when I saw an AD in a paper. I've also driven by the location multiple times. So I decided to stop in and check the place out. The staff are all very friendly and my first visit the place was empty so it was nice to have a staff that chatted with you. Two other customers stopped in and we all were talking. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing.

I ordered the conch fritters, they were very hot so I knew they were just cooked. They tasted delicious, and the sauce is amazing! It is a little spicy but I like spicy flavored food and sauces. I also ordered the 5 dollar lunch special tilapia grilled instead of fried. It was so good, it came with french fries that were also pretty good too. I liked the addition of the carrot and tomato :) Personally, I wish there was more cole slaw because to me it tasted good. The food was also placed over a huge piece of lettuce which I love lettuce with a little salt. to snack on too!

I have come back once afterwards and ordered the food to go. It was still good but it's always better to just eat at a restaurant than to have the food to go because it's never as good for some reason, anywhere... I will definitely be coming back! I will have to try more menu options too. But I'd recommend this place to anyone that has been here before!!

Great food and the staff is very nice.  They serve a $5.00 lunch special of Fish and Chips. It comes with a side of slaw and a homemade cornbread muffin (to die for).  Everything was perfectly cooked and came out of the kitchen hot. Going back today for lunch with the girls at the office. I want to try the jerk chicken.

Craving fish tonight. Just a hop from home.  Hope this place is better than its 3-star rating...!  [After Dinner Review]  Started with the conch fritters.  They were piping hot and tasted good, had a good amount of conch in the fritter, and a nice dipping sauce (which reminded us of Stubb's bottled sauce).  Ordered the fish special dinner, which consisted of blackened tilapia fillet over white rice (Cajun-flavor), a half-dozen shrimps (with tails), and a strange bite-sized serving of cole slaw with (exactly!) one baby carrot and one cherry tomato.  (Very odd.)  My blackened tilapia was extremely well-cooked with a nice charred back-of-tongue flavor; shrimps were perfectly executed and flavorful.  Rice was really great tasting, too.  Cole slaw was strange and not very good -- cabbage was virtually pulverized with no crunch.  (Carrot and tomato were throwaways.)  The major negative about my meal was that it was all served in a plastic (fast food-style) basket, over two large pieces of romaine lettuce -- not the tender hearts, but the outer bitter leaves.  It was a strange way to serve the rice since it was difficult to eat as the grains got stuck in the lettuce ridges.  (My dinner companion did not like his meal, as he said the salmon -- which was $3 extra -- was overcooked; it was served over extremely soggy fries.)  The inside of the restaurant (pretty much a dive) was virtually empty; front outdoor patio (facing the heavily trafficked Federal Highway) was empty.  They do have a nice little dock on the water out back that was nice to sit and dine.  Much is needed in landscaping, as the area around the dock was simply sandy dirt and a couple of sad-looking music speakers (that didn't work) attached to some old two-by-fours.  (Pretty sad.)  Still, though, sitting on the waterfront is always nice, despite the heat and sun blaring down.  Ordered a couple of beers with the meal which warmed-up fast out in the heat.  (It would've been nice for the joint to serve the beers in containers with ice.)  Beer selection was lacking bad -- tap was down at this seating.  Waitress was very "island-paced" -- totally nice, but very s-l-o-w paced.  (When asked how long the restaurant had been opened, she confided that there was a new investor in the restaurant, and she didn't think this new incarnation would last long -- apparently it's been through several ownership changes over the months.)  It's too bad because it could be something special with some thought and imagination and design-sense....  (Green Fish also offers paddle-board rentals right off the dock.  A cool thought, but I doubt it's gonna bring any additional business to this joint.  The place was still virtually empty when we left -- I think there might've been one old coot inside....)  PS:  The picture of the covered dock is old:  There is no fully covered dock (as shown) anymore; simply several umbrellas which did nothing to deter the unrelenting sun.

(Update, 8/9/12):  Haven't been back there since my first time; however, driving by on my way home I noticed that they've re-covered the outdoor dining deck.  And, too, there were quite a few people out there dining...!  Maybe things are on the upswing these days....  :)

Do not go here!! I haven't eaten here but with the management being complete buffoons, I wouldn't take a chance.
I live in the area they flyered my car, during the  rainy week!  So the sun baked the soaked flyer onto my two cars. Really hard to scrape off.
I figured I would stop by to just inform them, probably a better idea to use the mailbox in a residential neighborhood. Wilton Manors.
I expected,as I showed  my window to the manager as I drove by the next day (I live literally across the street) maybe apology and if he was very professional a coupon for the restaurant, or free drink or apps.
No way, he says" we haven't started flying yet, if your cars were flyered  it must have been an employee on their own time.
Ok... Let me get this straight , after they get off work or on their day off they walk around Wilton Manors and flyer cars on their own time with no instruction from you, and no pay,,,, Ohhh ok,
I obviously will keep ordering from my favorite restaurants in the area, and give this new kid no play!

Green Fish is in a location that seems to change ownership every six months or so. It was formerly Shucks on the Water, Boo Riley's and Chowderheads just name a recent few.

It's a pleasant enough place, big bar, rather limited menu but the food I've had here, particularly the Grill Fish Fillet (Caribbean Style), was extremely delicious though served upon a huge stack of rather soggy French fries.

Being under new ownership, the start up and growing pains are blatantly obvious. The waitress hadn't even read the menu, had no idea what was on it, not even the faintest knowledge of what beers were on tap and didn't even know what the initials "IPA" meant or, for that matter, that there was such a thing as "Ale." Srsly! She had never heard the word "ale" before I brought it up.

However, it is friendly, everyone attempts to be as accommodating as possible, and it has a nice big bar, good for an afternoon chill out of drinking or simply getting sloshed.

Though it has a front patio, it's merely a noisy place with an unimpressive view of Federal Highway. However, the back patio, on the water is a real plus, being an intimate and a most delightful setting.
