The Grind Burger Truck has some of the best hamburgers in town. Â I really enjoyed my burger- it had grilled onions and peppers, bacon, and barbeque sauce- and it was incredible. Â A really good burger. Â I wish i could enjoy another one.
However, the price is outrageous. Â For me and a friend to get two burgers and two drinks cost $24. Â I was SOOO excited when i heard a gourmet burger truck was being created, but $12 a person is far too expensive for a burger (NO fries included) and a coke. Â
I'm sure the fries are incredible too, but i couldn't afford an extra $4 for those. Â
The bottom line is, to get a hamburger, fries, and a drink costs $16. Â That is way too pricey for a hamburger, no matter how incredible it was.
I really wish i could afford to eat it more often, because if i could get a burger, fries, and a drink for say, $10, i'd eat there everytime they were open, because the burger was that good.
So much fun! When you hear of a "food truck" nothing makes me jump of out my seat to go eat at one. Â This was true until we had a B&B Burger from Grind! Â The first thing they brag about is using "grass fed beef" which I really didn't care about (at first). Â Once you try grass fed beef you are ruined for life. Â Buying non-grass fed meat make you feel like you are cheating your taste buds. Â It makes all the difference! Their burgers are snuggled in between local bakery made buns that have a sweet fresh taste to them. Â On the B&B burger they cover one side of the bun with a sweet apricot spread. The next part is the first part of the (B); the brie cheese. Â That is melted on top of the other (B); the bacon. Â I don't know what it is but the combination of the B&B with the grass fed beef and apricot spread makes you want to chase this food truck down the street like an ice cream truck on a scorching summer day. Â The owners do a great job of keeping things fresh on their menu as well. Â On this particular day they were at the Douglas loop farmer's market and used local produce to create spectacular sides to go with their burgers. Â We had asparagus in melted parmesan cheese and fresh strawberries in dark chocolate with sea salt. Â Does this sound like a normally food truck to you? Â We will definitely be back and if I could get them to pull up to my house for lunch I would! Thanks for the great food and hospitality!
