Exploring the Devon Road at lunch, bitter cold outside we finally stepped in here, probably not the best Pakistani in town but A-OK, The place is devoid of any charm and the owners not especially friendly. Â Pablo ordered a Lamb masala and I ordered a Lamb Karahi, this is what I call Bradford cooking, pretty homey, mountain like, felt more Afghan than Paki. Â Delish lamb to pick of the bone, spicy and flavorful, not like Indian so don't expect that. Â Keema nan not so great, sweet lassi good and not too sweet. Â Pablo ordered some last minute basmati and said it was the best he ever had. Â Free samosas were tasty and "a gift from me" said the host.
Dont know how we are going to manage our chinese tonight.....but we will. Â $28 dollars well spent as lamb is usually pretty expensive, portions were good.
this place really sucks, omholyg cant believe when u order something in this restaurant, they will heat it in the "microwave", and u can clearly hear the microwave beep noise, i was so surprised that they are running this business, so far i had the worst experience whatsoever. i though to ask for the money back, but could thought latter that the chicken biryani and mutton biryanis are soooooo old and actually they where something else, n not biryani's ..
please please dont step in, it s a warning... please never try this place called rahmania.... holyshit place.
So I have been on this chicken Biryani' kick for about 1 month now. Once a week I try a new restaurant I've tried Bismillah Restaurant, Excellent flavors of spices and a good amount of chicken. My favorite so far is Ghareeb Nawaz . Great taste and the most moist chicken. Hyderabad House also has great chicken Biryani with moist chicken and fantastic flavors. just last week I tried Biryani's, funny as that's all they serve! Great flavor and a balance of hot spice. A very generous amount of very moist chicken.
Yesterday I thought I would try Rahmania which is next door to Biryani's. I walked in to a empty very cold restaurant and ordered the chicken Biryani. I waited 5 minutes, then 10 minutes. I then asked the person who took my order whats taking so long. Don't you have the Biryani already made? His answer was they were heating it up. i should have asked for my money back right there as It was not freshly made. Anyways after asking the second time why it was taking so long it was brought out of the kitchen. since I work as a delivery guy in the area my dinning area is in my truck.
Problem 1. Was not basmati rice
Problem 2. Rice was over cooked
Problem 3. seasoning tasted like it was from the premix you can buy  in  grocery store, it was awful, had a chemical tast.
Problem 4. The amount of chicken,it had 1 tiny leg and 2 pieces of thigh meat more bone than meat.
Problem 5 chicken was dry and had a gamey taste
Problem 6 It went in the garbage.
People based on this one dish as that's all I ever tried from this pit!
STAY AWAY! Â Give the others I mentioned the business as they take pride in what they serve.
