This is my favorite place to go for Sunday brunch. Not only do you have both breakfast and lunch items on a buffet, but the fried chicken is on point. The prices are fairly reasonable, but if you are expecting to pay what you do for Frisch's buffet then you will be disappointed. You will spend more but it is sure worth the money.

I have been going to Rima's for a couple years now...I would say once or twice a month. The food is always good, fresh and consistent. Good burgers, good fish and good meatloaf. My favorite is the chicken chopped salad...get that just about every time I go. The Sunday brunch is excellent as well. Highly recommended.

Good food. The fried pork chop is excellent. The beans are ok.. not sure about the celery in them. The service is always good and the prices are very reasonable.

Decent but not spectacular home made meat loaf Sammie. Still, much better option than the Arbys and mc dees nearby.

I went to lunch last week with a friend of mine. We were looking over the menu when he noticed the catfish sandwich. He said, "there's never an in between, people either get catfish right, or they don't." I looked at the specials board by the door and noticed something called Pork Fresco. We chatted a bit and then a lovely woman walked up and introduced herself as Rima. For the record, I love a restaurant when the owner in in the house.

She explained her take on catfish to my friend and the pork fresco to me. It sounded great so we ordered.

In no time at all our food was served. The food was well seasoned, hot and overall excellent. My friends eyes popped when he took his first bite of the catfish and I ate every bite of my pork fresco.

It was a very relaxed escape from a day at work that I would recommend to Rima's to anyone. Can't wait to try dinner.

I got a gift certificate for this place on http://Restaurant.com, so I decided I'd try them out. Especially since I heard that they had a breakfast buffet on Sundays.

I went this past Sunday, and sadly there was a sign on the front door stating that they no longer accept http://restaurant.com gift certificates. That was okay though. Since we were already there we still decided to try it out.

The food was okay. Nothing was great. Nothing was horrible. On the buffet they had scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes, biscuits, gravy, french toast, and then fried chicken, vegetables, some sort of potato salad, and pie. They also had made to order omelette's but they put it away before we were ready to order. They still took our order which was nice, however they cut the onion and green peppers up fresh and brought it out fast... meaning they weren't done at all and were very crunchy. Needless to say I didn't eat that. Maybe it would have been better if we ordered it sooner, who knows.

The atmosphere was nice. The place looked nice, I liked the menus, and I enjoyed listening to Elvis and oldies music while eating.

The price ended up being like 10.00 a person, which in my opinion was a little pricey for the quality of food. Some stuff on the menu looked good though and was cheaper so I may go back again sometime to try other stuff out. I think I'll just stick with Frisco's for the breakfast buffet though!

This place is a total throwback southern diner that makes you feel like you've entered another place and time when you walk through the doors. The kind of place where the servers all call you "darlin" or "sweetheart" and mean it. The kind of place where the Elvis and James Dean on the wall look like they were collected over time with love and not just stuck up there for artificial ambiance.

My husband's burger was massive (The Traditional) and he said quite good. We both got the onion rings which were super crunchy and very tasty. I went with the Grouper-- when the menu says "why Floridians say the best Grouper is in KY", how can you not? It was a huge piece of fish with a crunchy cornmeal batter (also available grilled) and served with tartar sauce. My meal came with 2 sides, which along with the onion rings, I got a side salad to start. Good to have some green to kick off my fried feast and pleasantly surprised there was no up-charge for that as a side item.

I'm definitely going back for a little Southern soul food and the smile it's served with.

Listen, any time I see the words "Brunch buffet" on a business's door, I get excited. Rima's served my brunch after 1 p.m., even better. I'm all about eating eggs and bacon for lunch.

They did it up right. I'm excited to go back and try the regular menu now!

If you happen to wake up Sunday morning, and it's still breakfast time, two thoughts cross my mind. 1) You weren't awesome enough the night before. Stay out later next time. 2) You get to go to Rima's! Maybe not such a bad compromise.

Rima's is a blast from the past, a place your folks would probably enjoy quite a bit. But if you're a retro enthusiast, or just someone who likes a good plate of sausage and eggs, Rima's has you covered. Personally I prefer lunch food to breakfast, but Rima's works magic in the wee hours of the morning. Wee hours for me being anything before 11am. Everything on their buffet is delicious, especially their eggs. I could easily get plate after plate of those on my own. Best of all, it's cheap!

Perhaps I should not even be writing this review yet, as I have not given Rima's non-breakfast items their fair shake. I went there once for dinner, and got a country fried steak which was quite good. Not the best country fried steak I've had, but it was certainly up there.

If you're looking for breakfast or brunch, I can't recommend it enough. It's probably the best around. Of course for lunch and dinner your options expand dramatically, but if you're looking for home cooked food, Rima's is your one-stop shop.

My usual way to enjoy Rima's is with my older father. He is not into all the crazy Asian food I am , and I am not a huge fan of chains. This is a great compromise because it is small, local, and inexpensive but good.

On occasion I have had to wait awhile for food here but usually the food is quick and you can hardly finish your salad that comes with most dinners before the entree is in front of you.

Being an omnivore who likes healthy food most of the time, it has been difficult to choose here sometimes until I realized that the occasional hamburger, pork chop, or slice of pie was not the worst thing to happen on a Saturday evening.

Their menu is small but contains the usual comfort foods of spaghetti, meatloaf, BLT's, fried catfish, and grilled chicken breasts. Most dinners come with a choice of two sides and they often have some nice specials like pickled beets, green beans, or peas that are all very southern in style.

I really enjoyed the pork chops when I was there last. You can choose from one or two and the difference in price is negligible. The difference really is that if you choose 2 you will prob have to leave one for lunch the next day.

The staff there are very friendly and attentive. I have never had bad service. If I am running late for a movie (which I often am on Saturday nights with my Dad), they have been more than helpful in getting us out the door.

As for drinks, they serve beer and wine only and Pepsi products. The fact that they do not serve Diet Coke is the worst thing about the place . Luckily their ice tea is as good as any ice tea-brewed not from a machine with lots of lemon.

I highly recommend Rima's if you are in the mood for comfort food, a relaxed evening and perhaps room for homemade cake or pie for dessert.

This is a nice little diner with some retro decor. The servers are very nice in that homely kind of way. The pickings for a vegetarian are slim but they have a great summer salad. I generally avoid salads (surprising being a veggie delite) but this place's salad is great. You can add what you want to it to make it heartier. They also make a great baked potato or beans with cornbread. Of course, those two are less healthy than the summer salad.

It's okay - we went often because of it's proximity to our job. Everything is mostly dry - but it's solid diner food.

Ditto what Karina wrote it her review...home cooking, reasonable prices in a place with dated decor!

The place serves sandwiches, and even pizza, along with the meats and sides. Its specialties are comfort foods like meatloaf and pork chops.

Located in the heavily congested Buttermilk Pike area, I'm guessing this restaurant is affiliated with the one of the same name in Covington.

Decorated with icons of a by-gone era--Sinatra, Monroe, Presley--Rima's is the type of diner I'd like to take my grandma to. Southern selections like pinto beans and meatloaf demonstrate the comfort food appeal of this laid-back establishment.

I went with the chicken chopped salad while my bf ordered the country fried chicken with (real) mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. My salad was large but not excessive, covered with chargrilled chicken breast, shredded cheese, and almond slivers, tossed in a bleu cheese Italian dressing, served with a hard-boiled egg and crackers. The dressing was more Italian than bleu cheese but still very tasty.

My bf's dish was hands down some of the best Southern cooking I've had in quite some time. Covered in rich white gravy, the country fried chicken was delectable.

After perusing their huge selection of desserts (apple pie, strawberry cake, etc) in the display case, I settled on lemon cake to-go. So I was loving Rima's well into the next day...
