I ordered a pizza to be half sausage and half tomato. It arrived at my residence a half hour later than the quoted 35 minute delivery time. The pizza was wrong and was all sausage. I called the store and the manager didn't want to refund me or switch it out. He said it wasn't his fault and that I hadn't specified even though I had and there were others around me that had heard me place the order. I'm a vegetarian so that was the reasoning to split a pizza with a friend and make half the pizza with non-meat toppings.
I asked him why I would order an entire pizza that I couldn't eat. He replied that "This isn't my first year working here," and I retorted with, "This isn't my first time ordering pizza." I asked what I should do with the pizza and he suggested, "Just throw it away." It wasn't until I threatened to call the cops that he offered to send the driver back in an hour. The driver later arrived back without incident with a cash refund.
Before I had threatened, the manager said the best he could do was to give me 50% off my next order and I asked him how this experience would make me a return customer. I never asked for free food, I just wanted a refund.
Haven't ordered there since and this was a few months ago.
