Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my visit to Watch City.
Although we were seated right away, the high tops are cramped and wobbly. Our waiter was nice enough, but service dwindled once the food was brought over. The first warning at this place should have been the buffalo wings -- overcooked and dry. How do you mess up a bar staple that any dive can whip up?
Secondly, the beer is nothing to write home about. The brew hailed as extremely hoppy was bland and flat tasting. Any run of the mill IPA has more flavor. The brown ale was okay, but the prices are just way out of whack for what you get here. Thought I'd try another beer to gauge their offerings better, but after it was described we learned that it wasn't available. All the better; just money to put towards any $10 6-pack that would taste better.
The saving grace was the burgers. Damn good, and almost worth the wait for our server to come by with the check (it was quite a while).
Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I was not impressed with Watch City Brewing. I'm not a beer or food snob, but felt pretty let down by our experience when weighted against the check total. For a place whose selling point is beer, it doesn't hit the mark. I wouldn't directly caution anyone against trying this place, but I certainly can't recommend them. I know I won't be back.
I came here for a weekend lunch with some girlfriends. Â It's a nice option on Moody Street. Â I didn't try their beer, but they do make a great burger here. Â I got the BBQ burger with fries. Â Our server was very attentive and friendly. Â I would love to come back to try some of their brews and get another burger!
Review Source:The service can be a little sketchy, and the place can be pretty LOUD, but the burgers are awesome. Â They have this Beer Battered Deep Fried Burger, and when you read the description you think "why would you ever want to deep fry a burger, isn't there enough fat content in there to begin with". Â And then you take the first bite and you think "this is an absolutely fantastic idea, why doesn't everyone do this". Â The batter and the deep frying seal in every drop of juiciness and flavor in the burger. Â Yum!
The regular plain old Build Your Own Burger is pretty darn good too. Â The burger patties are formed and cooked by someone who really knows how to handle ground beef - they're lightly patted together and then they're not squashed down on the griddle while they're cooking, so they stay moist and a little crumbly and totally delicious. Â Â
Haven't tried much else on the menu, but the burgers are definitely worth the trip!
I'm raising my review to four stars for Watch City Brewing Co. I've been back a few times, and the food and service have improved since I wrote my first review. The beer remains very tasty.
The fries are really good here!
The squash ravioli in sherry cream sauce is delicious! I have them make it for me with the vegetable of the day (instead of the chicken sausage it normally comes with) and without the cranberries (I'm not such a fan of dried sweetened cranberries), and it is super. The caesar salad is excellent. My meat-eating partner liked the burger as well.
I'm a fan! Also, I must say, the bartenders are very nice.
Tried this brewery for the first time. Â The space is nice and laid out well. Â That's about all I can say on the positive side. Â There was a stale smell noticeable as we first walked in. Â We were led to a booth across very dirty carpet and wood floors in serious need of refinishing. Â The waiter took our order soon after being seated although informed us of several beers that were not available.
While waiting for our food, an oddity became apparent in that hard metal rock was playing while several TVs were showing sports, and in moments when the music quieted could hear the TV which created an incongruous concept as to what the place was trying to be. Lack of cleaning was evident by the dust build up on ledges and the exposed  ventilation ducts. The food was OK, but nothing great. This place could be really nice with some investment in renewing the space and menu.
Went for burgers. Â The Tick Tock Burger is cooked and then fried for a little extra crispiness - awesome. Â My wife got the turkey burger which was absolutely awesome on the seasoning...I'll certainly be back for the burgers. Â The fries are seasoned well also and quite yummy.
On a previous trip I had shared two beer flights with friends to try each available on tap. Â Several of them were only fair, though I found the ESB and Irish Red tasty. Â Will certainly be back for burgers and beer.
I appreciate the casual atmosphere, service has been excellent, warm, and friendly each time I've come here. Â Very much enjoy this place, though for a microbrewery I expected more delicious beverages.
Not sure why people are giving this place mediocre reviews. My wife and I love this place. Good atmosphere, great service and great tasting food. I had the tick Tock burger and my wife had the three grain veggie burger. Recommend both! Great selection of beers too. If you ask me, this place is definitely worth going tofor just drinks or to sit down for a meal. My wife and zi will definitely be going back again!
Review Source:Living in Waltham, this is the place to go for beer.
If you like beer, and wanna try out some international or independent beers, this is the right place to come. The changing beer menu is amazing, and you can be sure that the beer you re getting is of highest standards.
The food is good for a brewery, and not to pricey. The service could be better, sometimes you need to wait some time before someone is asking for drinks and food.
Overall I would recommend to go here if you re interested in good beer and normal quality food.
whoa - i feel like i've stumbled across a hidden gem in downtown waltham. Â this place is awesome and i don't quite get all the mediocre reviews - it's anything but. Â watch city is a low-key beer pub with a lot to offer: Â great beer, plenty of seating, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere.
all beer is made on site and the beer menu is rockstar - there's usually a dozen or so on tap. Â the samplers are fun to try but my favorites is the irish red and the darker stout beer - tastes better than a guinness. Â what's great about this brewery though and makes it stands above the rest are the brewers: kelly and aaron. Â they hang out there a bit after their work for the day is done and are completely available to talk all things beer, which is really cool to me since i'm a beer lover and brewers aren't always interested in engaging with their customers: Â these guys are. Â i've even been lucky enough on one occasion to try a sample of an unfiltered "green" beer that hadn't yet been put on tap - it was certainly interesting to try a beer in it's unfinished state.
as for the food - it's a pub, i'm not there to critique it from a "foodie" point of view nor am i there for fine date-night dining. Â with that said, for pub food - it's really good. Â the half price apps during happy hour are well worth it - i've crushed on their philly cheese-steak egg rolls and loved them. Â for entrees i've had both their lamb and veggie burgers and both were boss.
all in all, waltham center is an odd place and not one i'm inclined to spend much time in, but spend some time at the watch city brewery, and you may find a reason to keep coming back.
What a disappointment! Â I was really looking forward to visiting Watch City. Â However I will not be recommending it to anyone.
To begin with, there is no air conditioning. Â For a restaurant that size, it is surprising that it is not air conditioned.
In terms of service, it was terrible.  We waited so long for the wait staff to make a first visit to our table that we thought they may not have not known we were there.  Although we had been seated  by a host.
I notified the waiter that I had a severe seafood and fish allergy and needed to know if non-seafood items were fried with seafood items. Â He said that he knew these items were separated and not to worry. Â I explained that this was important and wanted to be clear that this was in fact the case. Â He said yes.
He served our table an appetizer of sweet potato fries without any further food allergy discussion. Â About fifteen minutes later, he then told me that they wanted to offer me vegetables rather than fries with my meal because they weren't sure about fried items. Â I then asked if they sweet potato fries were prepared the same way (already thinking I knew the answer) and he said, "Well, yeah." Â It would have been helpful to have that information prior to serving anything fried.
Finally, the meals that each of the four of us had were so bad that none of us had more than two bites of the what was served to us. Â The waiter never asked how our meals were or why each of us had barely touched what was served to us. Â After another long wait, we finally were able to flag down the waiter to get the bill so that we could leave.
If you are looking for a restaurant in Waltham, you should seriously consider a different place.
The food was good but the service was awful. We stopped in for lunch on a whim. After we were seated and received our drinks, we waited so long that my wife had to actually get up from the table and track down our server to ask her if she would take our order. We were going to order an appetizer for us and kid's meal for our daughter, but we decided against both because we had already waited so long we just wanted to eat and get out ASAP. Â When she came over to serve us she did not apologize for the wait and instead of asking what we would like she just said "go for it", she seemed annoyed that my wife asked her to come and take our order. I got the buffalo turkey burger which was very good but not very spicy as it would imply being buffalo. My wife ordered the veggie burger which she enjoyed. Â Somebody else delivered the food and somebody else also asked if we needed refills on our drinks (because our server never came by to check and he noticed our drinks were empty for the longest time). Â She finally came by after we were almost finished eating and her question was "do you need anything else here or are you all set?" Â We said no thank you. Â Then the wait for the check began. After my wife had to take our 2 year old daughter to the car because she was nowhere in sight, she brought me the bill and I finally was able to leave. Just before we left, the table next to us had to find their server (different one) and ask when their food was coming because they had been waiting so long. It was very disappointing that everything took so long and the waitress was so rude. It made sense that the place was not so busy.
Review Source:Considering this is a brewing company, you might think they'd have their act together when it comes to their beers and their beer menus...but no. I went for dinner with three other people, and none of our beers were very cold or carbonated. Other than that they were good I guess, but it was still a bit disappointing. Also, it's great that they list the ABV of their beers on the menu AND the chalk boards, but for at least half of the beers listed they stated a different ABV on the chalk board than on the menu, which was confusing and made me feel like they have some work to do.
We all got burgers, which are big, but only mediocre. The lamb burger was overcooked even though it was supposed to be medium rare and the turkey burger was bleh. The fried burger was good, but hey it's hard to go wrong when you're frying a burger. The sweet potato fries were limp, which would have been ok if they had been hot. But they were cold. So, not so much. I took them home and heated them up in my oven and they were ok though.
I would actually give a 2.5 star review here, since they weren't awful, but not great. Just meh. And they're pretty expensive, so I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon...
Bleh. I've come here a few times before gigs at the Smellig next door, and I guess I have to say "blah" now.
First off, I hate the stools at the bar. They're bolted to the floor and swivel, but my knees are awkwardly smushed against the bar unless i sit crooked, and then, my knees are in someone else's space.
The beer is pretty bland. Â I got something involving a "hops explosion" and let me just say I have tasted more hops in a boring ol' Harpoon IPA. Â If you advertise something as an "explosion", it should taste unfathomably hugely of whatever's s'posed to be blowing up.
I had the steak tip caesar with anchovies. Â Pretty hard to fuck up a caesar, but they managed to drown the greens in goop. At least the anchovies were fresh. The meat was chewy but at least it had some flavor.
This is possibly the most boring brewpub I've ever encountered. Â Bland food, bland beer and bland service. Wheeeee. I'd rather get a six-pack of Red Hook and watch bugs die in the zapper.
Went for happy hour, beers and apps. I was with a friend and we wanted a seat at the bar. One of the male servers was nice enough to ask a patron to move so we could get two seats next to each other. The selection of beers on tap were limited as they were out of 3. Â
We ordered buffalo chicken tenders, which were decent and the chicken and bean quesadilla. The quesadilla was cold when I took a bit. We didn't have a waitress and the bartender was hard to get a hold of, so when a waitress was putting in an order at the end of the bar and I asked her if she could help. I told her the quesadilla was cold and she just said 'Ok' came over and took it back. Another girl came back about 5 minutes later with another quesadilla, and again it was cold. I think they're premade and then heated when ordered, which is totally fine, I just don't want to eat a cold chicken quesadilla. The waitress never came back to ask how the food was and then I saw her talking to the other waitresses and pointing/looking at us. Sorry I bothered you while you're on the job, what was I thinking? I won't be going back anytime soon. Disappointed in the overall service and attitude of certain staff, and the food was crappy.
The good news is that they were open. Â Hmmm, that may be the bad news too.
None of the beers on the menu were available.
Only about half of the beers listed on the chalkboard as "On Tap Today" were available. Â None of my party were all that enthralled with the beers we did have. Â Nothing awful, but nothing special either.
Service was slow. Â Slow to take our order, slow to bring the food, slow to bring the check.
The food was not awful, but most brewpubs seem to do a better job. Â Kind of greasy. Â Meat over cooked. Â Sweet potato fries were limp. Â Soup was bland. Â
Certainly not one star, but couldn't give it more than two. Â Can't recommend it.
Don't bother. The food is too expensive for what it is and the service is terrible.
The only real redeeming factor is the Moody Street Stout. It's a completely solid stout. Overpriced at $6 for a pint, but it is pretty tasty.
My wife and I went for brunch yesterday, and after our experience, we won't be coming back. $10 for Corned Beef Hash and Eggs (Toast is extra. Really?), and $9 for a mediocre Eggs Benedict (with Deli Ham, and the smallest amount of Hollandaise we've ever seen on a Benedict.)
Our waiter had maybe 5 tables, and it still took him 15 minutes to get our drink order, and another 10 minutes to bring them to us. It was brunch, there wasn't a crowd. I know you want to pour a stout correctly, but it doesn't take ten minutes to settle.
When we (finally) got our meals after a half hour or so, my eggs were poached when I ordered over easy, and my meal was cold. I didn't want to deal with it, so I just ate it, paid the bill and left.
While we were eating, a table next to us had their meal made incorrectly (once again, poached eggs instead of over easy), then a table behind us found a HUGE hair in their food.
So, overall: Overpriced, poor service, meh food at best, and a passable stout.
Don't bother. There are better choices for beer and food in Waltham (and on Moody Street) especially for the price.
Not impressed by the beer for a brewery. Â I tried the stout and the Ipa and both were average. Â The food and service was good. I had the meatloaf that came with mashed and green beans. Â It was very good food. Â For a brewery I expect more from the beer, so I probably won't be going back.
Review Source:I don't get why everyone seems so excited about the beer here. The beer is awful. It lacks body and flavor and is not what a good craft beer should be. Even their beer which should scream with flavor (IPAs, double IPAs, Ryes, etc) have left me feeling disappointed.
The food is also not good. I feel like this place used to have good food years ago, but something happened. They changed their menu and the food quality went down. Whenever I have come here to eat, the service/kitchen is extremely slow and most of the time my food comes out cold, soggy, and flavorless. With the exception of the veggie burger (Veggie burger???? Yes. Veggie burger!) their food is just blah.
This place has so much potential, but sadly, it falls flat.
This place is a real disappointment, given that their beer is actually really good.
The food is so blah. It's typical greasy American fare, nothing exciting about it at all.
The service is also terrible. The last time I was here, we were there for three hours because the server screwed up the bill and couldn't get it figured out. He also lost one of our orders and ended up replacing it with something else entirely.
I realize the bit about the bill wasn't his fault because they have a system meant for a retail store, rather than a restaurant (though that doesn't reflect too well on the management), but after the whole fiasco we asked if he could buy us a round of drinks to make up for it, and instead of an enthusiastic, "sure, it's on the house!' we got a "well... I guess I could do that, but it's just going to keep you here longer."
I definitely won't be coming back here any time soon.
A great place to stop for a beer if you are going to catch a movie at the Embassy theatre across the street. Â The food here is adequate pub grub type of fare with a limited and unexceptional menu. Â The fries were average and the burgers dry and not very exciting. Â Good wings, great beer and a convivial atmosphere make it an OK stop.
Review Source:Nice but typical bar , nothing special~
I would like to suggest the wine collection they have on the menu. But u can also find similar taste other places.
I went there for drinks with friends and chattering for a while but it closed so early that we have to move to Magerita's which across the street to continue our night.
Food here is not good. Â I've had bad food here three times. Â Last night I tried the haddock sandwich. Â Gross! Soggy bread. Â Huge roll. Small fish. Â The only redeeming part was the fries. Â
My friend and I went in around 5pm, and they sat us all alone in a large section to the left. Â We were the only ones in that whole section! Â The proceeded to sweep and spray down the tables in our section (all of them empty) except for ours. Â The bar itself smells musty and gross.
Despite the place being dead, we still had to wait 30 minutes for the waitress to pick up our cards and pay our check. Â Crazy.
Would not recommend this place.
I was pretty excited to try Watch City Brewing Co. since I love beer and it's near my house. I went over with some co-workers for a Thursday evening beer. I had worked like a fiend and was really psyched to try the Curmudgeonator Old Ale.
I came in before my friends. The young hostess seemed surprised that I wanted to sit down and not stand in the entry way waiting for my friends. I said I was tired and she asked, "ARE YOU PREGNANT"? Now I think many women will understand that that is an extremely inappropriate question to ask a non-skinny patron about to drink beer... but I've finally thought of a good response, after I got home, natch.
"DO YOU WANT TO GET PUNCHED IN THE FACE"?
I was actually much more polite, probably due to exhaustion, and sat and my friends arrived. We had below average sweet potato fries and they were out of Curmudgeonator Old Ale. Of course they were. I tried one called Titan that was pretty good if you like brown ales and porters, which I do.
When I got home, I called the manager and complained about the hostess and she was quite nice and actually seemed to grasp that that is not a cool question to ask a stranger when you're a hostess in a bar. If I hadn't talked to the manager, this would have been my first and only visit.
I come here on a regular basis with a group of people for lunch. I enjoyed coming here before because the food was decent and the beer was good but they've since stepped their game up in the food department.
Their beer remains solid as ever (with some of my favorites ever originating here) but I am really a huge fan of the food nowadays. Their grassfed burger is amazing and I love the Cuban sandwich! We're also always treated to great service.
There is a reason this is a weekly regular spot for us and I suspect I'll be coming back for a long time.
Oh, for the record: The Venus Envy, the Boneshaker, and any time they do a Pumpkin Ale = seriously good beer.
Highly recommended if you're wandering about looking for a bite and a brew, but I don't think it qualifies as a destination spot. Some particulars:
-Good beer with frequent updates/additions, and a rather European sensibility (which I like), and while it's a limited selection, there tends to be a range of styles;
-Good food, priced correctly (it's no gastro-pub, but they don't pretend to be);
-Nice ambience, a bit industrial but still warm, and decent acoustics (not deafening);
-Friendly staff and ample seating make this a good group destination.
I've been here a bunch of times just for a beer or lunch or whatever and have always had a good time, but I had an exceptionally good experience having an after-party for my wedding here. They were incredibly accommodating with food options, timing, payment arrangements, and party size. Mucho appreciated.
BTW, their new brunch is pretty good. It's also super fun during Waltham's steampunk festival in May, as the whole place fills up with attendees in steampunk gear and it's the perfect setting for it.
I've been here quite a few times, just to make sure I can give it an on-point review since it has received so many rave reviews. Â
If you like beer, this place isn't the place for you. Â Trek down a few blocks to the Gaff for that. Â For a brewery, the beer sucks. Â Their best beer is a few door down at Mother India, the pale ale, try it, it's delicious. Â If you like wilted lettuce and food that has been under the heat lamp for about 10 minutes, this place is for you! Â But, seriously, the nachos are the best thing on the menu.
I've been going to Watch City for 16 years and consider one of the best microbrewery pubs in metro west. Â The burgers are terrific, especially the black & blue (cajun and blue cheese) and lamb with feta. As a frequent customer I know the quality of some dishes is uneven - chicken tenders can be 5-star or somewhat dry; sweet potato fries can wow or disappoint. The house brewed beers are, however, consistently excellent, from the ultra-light Tick Tock ale to the high-proof Belgians in snifters. My own favorite, the 6% amber Titan Ale, is among the best draughts to be had in Boston - no small praise.
There are a ton of great choices on Moody Street in Waltham. If you like beer and are in the mood for upscale pub food, Watch CIty can't be beat.
my girlfriend captured my feelings about this place perfectly when she said "if you're gonna use bagged chips, you should at least use better quality bagged chips".
ESPECIALLY if you're gonna charge $12 for "nachos" which consist of a basket of said bagged chips and a bean dip with cheese.
the flatbread was decent, but everything else was subpar. my girlfriend took one bite of her soup and said it was gross and tasted like it came out of a box. when the (very friendly) waitress came over to clear our dishes she even commented "not a fan of the soup huh?". i mean, we didn't ASK for it to be taken off the bill, but i thought that would've been common courtesy...
maybe the burgers are good, but i'm not going back to find out. overpriced food that's on the low side of mediocre
My wife and I went into this meal hoping for another gastro pub we could frequent. We were thoroughly disappointed in all facets of the night. The service was poor, the food was very low quality (we commented we would rather have eaten at an Applebees), and there was hair in the food. I only gave this place two stars because it had a nice vibe in the place and a great location. It could be a lot better. Unless things change drastically we will never return here and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Wednesday evening - Music was way too loud. Only a pint to talk to anyway. Next time, I'll bring my noise cancellation headset.
The fish and chips were ok, but the fries were very dry.
The second Kölsh tested fresher (did I get the first run from the tap?).
The bartender was friendly. He got the free WiFi going after half an hour - router reset was needed.
Atmosphere was kind of dull, but I'll go back to get some emails answered over a pint. I would not go there to have an inspiring conversation ... IT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CHAT
OK, let me just start out by saying that i started coming here when i was in town from CT. This was my first small town brewery experience in MA. That being said- Tara and Junior were the first two bartenders i met there, they turned me on to some awesome brews that they have and got my hooked, so much in fact that i joined their mug club (which for a mug club is cheap and a great deal).
The food is awesome no matter what time you go. Brunch on the weekends are great for a monticristo sandwich with a monkey monk saison or lunch for a Classic Rachel (a corned beef sandwich on a pretzel roll) with a Titan Ale. The wing here are awesome too!! meaty bone-in wings with house made blue cheese dressing.
All in all come here for a few great craft brews and some great food, I just might see you there!
I was very disappointed by the Watch City Brewing Co; from my visit, the only upside of the restaurant is the variety of beers. But comparing decor, service and food to other places in the area, Watch City is not worth the trip.
From the outside, it seems like a classy looking place to get a meal and a drink, but the interior is horrific. Dingy and outdated doesn't even begin to describe it. It was dark, loud, dirty and the furniture is really worn. In addition, during the course of my visit, some employees frequently went outside to smoke, and the vents pulled the awful smell to right where I was sitting. Who would feel like eating after smelling cigarettes for so long? No one.
In regards to the service, my waiter was an elderly gentleman who wasn't a good hostess. He missed multiple cues that my husband and I gave to ask for water, the check, etc. I don't blame him, because he was the main waiter working the dining area while the other employees stood around, joked, and smoked outside.
And to my surprise, the food was mediocre! I was firstly pissed that it took about 35 minutes for two meals to be made when there were practically no people in the dining room. They were not complicated meals, and I could have cooked better at home! My husband ordered a kabob, and he was served his meal on a plate too small. So when he tried to get the overcooked pieces of chicken off the stick, most of the vegetables fell to the floor! Ughhhhhhh, never going here again!!!
I was very disappointed after eating at this place, especially after looking at some of these reviews. First of all, the decor is seriously ugly. It's not what you would expect looking from outside. The carpet was really dirty and coming off of the floor. The chairs and tables were quite small and old themselves. It looked like a run down place, not a bar on Moody St. I didn't order any drinks from this place. I got a pesto chicken sandwich and my wife got a sandwich as well. The order took a very long time for just two simple dishes, approximately 30 minutes on a weekday evening. The waiter was also really awkward and never really checked on us at all. I asked for ketchup and had to literally flag him down multiple times to remind him, cause he "forgot."
Our food arrived shortly. The sandwich looked decent and came with a fairly small portion of fries. The sandwich itself was ehh. The bread wasn't toasted, the chicken was a bit chewy and the flavor wasn't really there. The fries, however, tasted good, but I've had better. It definitely wasn't worth the wait or the money. Mad Raven on Main St. has the same sandwich for a lower price and bigger portion, that actually tastes really good. I won't be coming here anytime soon, if at all.
It was a hot day and I just wanted to eat an early dinner with the family, and though I wouldn't say going here was a big mistake," I would say that I didn't choose wisely. Â First, when I walked in it smelled like a horse stall - I got the distinct smell of hay and horse apples! Â It was not well air conditioned, but had a number of overhead ceiling fans on max.
The food was...OK. Â The cajun/bleu cheese burger was good, but the sweet potato fries were soggy - as were the regular fries - the "New England Clam Chowdah" tasted like it was straight from a can, and the kids' pizza was so-so. Â However, the corn dog tasted really good with a great batter.
As for kid-friendliness, I would say no. Â Yes, there is a train table set up in the back, perhaps for the kids to use while mom and dad get drunk, but there are no kid-size cups or lids for cups (i was offered a carry-out soup bowl with a lid - i passed on that).
Disappointing meal all-in-all.
I've been waiting to post my 300th review and was hoping for a knockout place for the milestone. Haven't had much luck in that department, so instead, I decided to post the 300th in celebration of friends and family who were at a farewell gathering at Watch City Brewing Co. last night.
The venue separated us from the rest of their crowd, and it worked out well. A bar was in front of us but the place was large enough that the bar crowd didn't impact our party. The place looked clean, and the bonus was that the Yankee game was on one of the several TVs in the bar area (I didn't watch but I knew it was on).
There were several buffet offerings, including two types of chicken, fried raviolis, hummus, and vegetable trays, and pitchers of beer (no complaints from anyone, so I guess it was good). There were also some soft parmesan pitas and a few different salsas/dipping sauces. The food was typical bar food and was decent, and the waitress was attentive, refilling the hot appetizers frequently and constantly asking if there were anything else we needed.
Several tables in our section accommodated those who needed to sit for a bit or enjoy a more private conversation.
There's no liquor license, so the only offerings were beer  and wine. I would have wanted a margarita or some such drink, but settled for a diet coke. We were able to bring in an ice cream sheet cake, and the waitress brought out a container of hot water and an appropriate knife to help with the cutting. She also brought us forks and small plates.
Wish our other daughter/husband were here, too, but we enjoyed the ambiance and company. Don't know if we'll come back, because we have no reason to head to this area anymore.
Ive been here twice now, once for dine in and once for take out (yes, let you pick up food).
The beers are definitely the reason to come here, they are all very tasty and its always fun to bring a growler home with you. The Kolsch in particular is delicious! I think it's a special but it should definitely become a regular.
The food has been hit or miss. The pulled pork tacos appetizer was enough for me, they were fine but nothing to write home about. The fish and chips were good, the piece of fish was huge.
The BBQ cheddar turkey burger was really good! I would definitely order that again, it didn't tasty healthy at all, the cheese isn't low cal obviously but the BBQ sauce made the turkey taste great.
My husband got a plain cheese burger which he really liked too.
We are definitely fans and Im sure we'll be coming back often!
