This is a gem and a wonderful addition to the area.
To my knowledge, they only offer small cheese plates (and others alike) and I've yet to have any of it so my review is based on a visit for wine and coffee.
The atmosphere is very welcoming, clean and comfortable. I appreciate that it is open during the day as a coffee shop and that they offer wine tastings at night. We stopped in in a hurry recently to pick up a bottle of wine. We told the man what we were looking for and he quickly set up a tasting for us. We left with a wonderful white with the intention to go back when we have more time. He was helpful and very friendly.
The one time I got coffee was a similar experience. Nice people, good product.
Came here on a Saturday to get a few wine flights. It was pretty crowded but I was happy they were getting so much business. The wine flights are around $12-14 and they're a lot of fun to guess which notes are in the wine. You may think you're a wine connoisseur but I bet most people won't pick up on the hint of "volcanic dust." Lots of fun to come here with friends, they also have some good coffee selections for when you want to sober up a bit before leaving.
Review Source:I was visiting my family for the holidays in Cincinnati, and my sister (who is not a very big nightlife person) and I (who is a person who loves wine, beer, and the nightlife scene) were trying to find a place we would both enjoy. Based on the already available Yelp reviews, we chose to venture to 1215.
Upon first glance, this is a cozy, intimate setting where you can delve into wine, beer and coffee delectables. I chose the Geeky Reds flight, and one of the charms of this place is that they label each glass in the flight 1, 2, & 3 and then you can guess which glass is which wine based off of the menu. Once you have chosen, the staff provide you with an answer card which will tell you the kind of wine and its make-up. Its a cute and different way of doing a wine tasting that I very much enjoyed.
My sister and I also delved into the meat and cheese plates. I feel like you really cannot go wrong here, and we (the admittedly unknowing of meat and cheese tasters) just chose three of the cheeses and meats that sounded good to us based on the menu's description. The plates came with bread slices and also an almond something on the side that was delish!
We ended the night with some coffees - I had the Irish Coffee and my sister had the Bourbon Latte (which is a white mocha with bourbon creation). They were also very good and the bartender enlightened us with the fact that the staff will often concoct some crazy coffee and liquor combinations when they have time resulting in the tasty treats before us.
While we there (on a Thursday night post-9PM) there was also live music with a singer and guitar player doing covers ("Stay" by Lisa Loeb comes to mind). It was a great addition to an already great place!
I'd definitely recommend this place for all adult ages (20-somethings and up) as well as for a variety of occasions - date nights, sister bonding, friendly get togethers, etc.
