Leboxx Cafe

An average place with average food. I won't put up a fight when co-workers want to eat here but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

I'm pretty sure the decor hasn't changed since the 90's, and not in a rad 80's/90's decor that's nostalgic,  It's just bad 90's decor. The 80's rock though, is pretty nice. I am a fan of the music they play...but that's about it.

I've tried different things from numerous burgers & sandwiches to wraps, I'm not a big salad person. Everything I've eaten there is just average. It's not terrible food but it's not terrible at the same time.

I honestly think the only thing that keeps this place going is the location. But that's just me.

My co-workers and I made the walk to go out to lunch at LeBoxx to celebrate one of the co-worker's departure from the company. We needed four small tables so the manager was more than happy to throw together a long table for us and it didn't take long for us to be seated. Mind you, this was at 11:30am. As we sat down, our waitress was very nice and had a big order pad ready. It seems like they regularly get multiple orders at once.

I ordered a turkey club melt with natural chips (the ones with the skin still attached) and my co-workers ordered taco salad, melts, buffalo chicken salad/wraps and a LeBoxx burger. The portions were very generous! The wraps and the melts came in a basket and wasn't very overwhelming like the salads were. The LeBoxx burger looked very hearty.

We had fun and the atmosphere felt light and friendly. The waitress did a great job attending to our refills and asking how the food was. The cash out experience was nice as well, all we had to say was what we had and they split the bill accordingly without any mishaps. The price was very reasonable for a meal in downtown. I'll definitely come back to this little café on the corner. Ü

This is a great weekly lunch habit.  Be sure to arrive early as they get really busy around noontime and there can be a considerable wait - especially in the summer. The Jack Daniels burger is awesome.
