We paid a visit last night to BAR 107 and unfortunately they over charged our tab. So pay CASH, because last thing you want is your bank statement not matching the receipt. Aside from the fact that the bartender got a decent tip, the bartender decided to tip themselves even more. So my tip to you is avoid giving them your card, or avoid the place over all. :/

Went here once. It was an ok low key vibe until the wanna be sceensters showed up and ruined it. So we left, but the up side is that its very affordable drink wise.

Great dive bar. Good music cheap drinks. Decor makes it great. Restrooms not the best but great place to get a drink. Can get  crowded on weekends. Free pizza for happy hour on weekdays!

Great happy hour prices and a happy hour that goes until 8, nice atmosphere (dark and hole in the wall kinda vibe) and drinks are well poured.  What more do you need?

OMG!!!!!!!  So totes the gr8test bar in LA.  Cheap booze, crazy atmosphere, and awesome vibez.  I can't recommend this place enough.

I had so much funz with my clan, dancin and drinkin to sweet tunez.  Best of all, no Fiona.  IT was 100% Fiona-free.  I hate when that B shows up to a Jessie F JAM.

If you want to have a killer evening, Bar 107 is it.

Cool bartenders, trippy erotic art and all-around nutty decor, cheap drinks for the area, blah blah, blah---you've probably heard this already.

    But,

Here is a nugget of info that may sum up this bar: They just brought back a real grade-A shit show of a good time: Gong Show Karaoke. It's a shame that it only happens once a month, but the charade really captures the spirit of this fun dive bar. For those of you who have never been to one of these, I'll explain briefly. Everyone gets hammered, starts singing karaoke, and then singers either get gong'd off of the stage by three guest judges (always snarky/funny men and women in character), or they are scored by the judges on a scale of 1-10. The singer who gets the highest score by the end of the night wins a bong. Get the vibe of the bar now? Party on, DTLA.

Check out their photo page and it will all make sense and look awesome: <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rockthegong.com%2Findex.php&s=0cab5fa2c7a36c734c443d62cd626983e6ee3132d26ae7bcef4bde5c72f4e4ee" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.rockthegong.c…</a>

It's the last Wednesday of every month, and they post who the judges will be (along with other events) on their Facebook page: <a href="/redir?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fbar107&s=81e94b68757a94b5555f1647916afaa32fdadfd6f5e1f20ecd8d29abf007b43a" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.facebook.com…</a>

    Good:
    -Decor is amazing
-Photobooth inside near the dance floor!
    -Music was loud and fun
    -Crowd was good
    -Spacious before 10pm
-Huge fan on the dance floor to keep cool!
-Drinks were cheap for DTLA standards
    -Tons of seating areas

    Bad:
-Located in DTLA, so parking is one thing
-Photos from the photobooth smelled awful
-Post-10pm, they PACK this place with people. It becomes uncomfortable, rowdy, and unpleasant

The bar staff is pretty nice.
    The decor is cray cray.
The drinks are stiff and cheap.
The patrons just come here to have a good time.
The security guard will hug you if you're a Virgo.

I love the B&W photobooth! Forget the drinks- the photobooth was entertaining enough. One day after work with my coworkers we decided to go here. Definite dive bar which I'm a fan of anyways. Very cheap and stiff drinks and free pizza. Not the best pizza but to snack on is fine. The crowd is artsy from what I remembered that day. An awesome small place to hang out for a few hours.

If you have ever watched True Blood, just know this place reminds me a lot of Fangtasia... it is like a punk rock bar without all the vampire stuff lol (but if you want to actually visit Fantagsia bar its Alex's Bar in Long Beach). It is divey yet cool with plenty of seating especially at the bar and all the weird decor, like the random big ass horse at the back of the bar, saloon doors for the bathroom stalls, and a photo booth that takes credit cards. This bar was cool overall and would definitely fit for those looking for a divery punk rock vibe.

I LOVE this place. Never had to pay cover charge or have ever seen anyone else do so. Great music and cheap beer plus a cute photo booth on the dance floor. No deuchbags in suits. Total hipster place but i love it!

All you need to know is they have a painting of a naked Burt Reynolds.  So many great decoration choices surround you as you enjoy a chill atmosphere.  If you ask for beer you'll get PBR.  They have a machine with bar games too which I recently learned are rare here in LA.  If I lived closer to this bar I'd be here all the time; as it is I'll definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

This place is kinda groovy and weird... bizarre art and statues everywhere, people dressed up as robots and forest creatures, Tom & Jerry playing on the TV... Drinks are decently priced. It was pretty crowded when I was there, but it was still pretty relaxed. It was definitely... interesting.

Cheap drinks! Crazy decorations! Cool bartenders!

We came here before prime time and it was empty, so it was nice, sitting in a booth and just enjoying our time. Then we came here prime time when all the people started coming out! It was packed! The dance floor was packed, but it was fun.

FYI the bathroom is like a exotic sex room! It's all red and kinda weird... my friend likes it though. We had fun.

I'm not sure if it was b/c I came on art walk night but it was uber packed!  I've been here before and I don't remember it being this uncomfortable busy.  I really like the music here, which was the reason I wanted to hang out for a bit but I couldn't handle the bustling crowd.  I'm basing this rating on my last experience which was good.  I'll have to visit on a non art walk night for a thorough assessment of my findings.  In the mean time, I am comfortable in recommending that you at least give it a try if you haven't yet.

They have a great happy hour and give you free pizza! It is first come first serve and it's not the greatest pizza I've ever had, but free is free! The bar tenders are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. I never stay here too late because it does get really crowded and it's a small place.

This is a dive bar through and through. Don't go in there expecting anything else, or you'll be disappointed. It's quiet enough so you can talk with friends, and they have a photo booth, so if you don't remember your night at least you have some evidence of it!

107 looks like a typical dive bar but the odd thing about this place is  that all the patrons charge their cell phones on the wall outlets! Everyone was doing it the night I was there, I swear! It's as if people come here and maybe have a drink but they're really there to charge up!

I guess if you're out and need to charge your phone, come to Bar 107!

If I could give a half star, I would. I love dive bars but this place has a terrible vibe. The bouncers are worthless humans beings who pat down everyone and denied me entry for absolutely no reason after I had been stopping by a few times a month and live across the street. This place has zero respect for it's patrons and should just go away, quickly.

Don't be fooled by the cool shit on the walls or a line on the weekends. Oh, and one time around 6pm a rat was running around the main bar and someone killed it with a bar stool resulting in blood all over the floor, which wasn;t even properly cleaned up. This place sucks.

In my opinion this is one of the best bars in Downtown. The prices are decent, the music's good, and the people are nice. It is pretty small so it does get crowded really fast, which I don't mind, but I know some people prefer personal space lol

Great prices, even when its not Happy Hour!  The place can get packed at night, but is always a great time, empty or full.  Highly recommended for anyone not looking for the standard bar experience!

Maybe one has to be heavily intoxicated to enjoy Bar 107. I, however, was not. The place was packed full of people and the dance floor was tiny. I was dragged there this weekend and next time know to hold me ground.

I bought a Guinesss and the bartender actually came out behind the bar with what was left in the can (it was more than could fit in my cup) to offer me the rest of it instead of being wasteful / not letting me get my money's worth. She was a real real sweetheart. Tall pretty brunette. Very smiley, responsive and attentive. Lauren?

The decor is pretty sweet. MASSIVE statues of rearing horses and upright rabbits in human clothes.

They play old school cartoons on the TV and there is slightly creepy artwork everywhere.

The lighting in the bathroom is neon pink.

You will find ads for psychedelic music shows laying about.

Also pretty much the only worthwhile bar in the immediate vicinity open past midnight on a Wednesday night.

Stumbled into Bar 107 a few weekends ago after a night out in DTLA. For some reason this was the last bar I went to that night and it was such a good ending, a happy ending. The people, vibes, prices on drinks, and most importantly my buzz was on point. It has a grimey-like look maybe that's the reason why I love this bar. I was here on a Saturday and the place was packed, I pretty much smelled every other dudes cheap ass cologne because I was so damn close. I would definitely be back soon, promise.

Also; you thirsty dudes with beer goggles, the inside of this place has red lighting and red lighting makes everyone look attractive. They do turn on the lights like 10 minutes before 2 a.m so inspect before you try taking anyone home. (:

Cool little bar. Everyone who come here is really chill and the Pabst is always  flowing. It's a little cramped but that kinda forces you to interact with people.... had a great encounter with this cute asian chick while our faces were almost touching becuase it was so packed. Any who, if its close by then stop by...

Cheap drinks and a quick bartender even when it's busy. The DJ is usually pretty good, playing classic dance songs and some new stuff. It's usually packed shoulder to shoulder so you should be comfortable with that if you're going. It's a dive bar.

Very chill dive bar in DTLA.  I have walked by the Old Style sign a many times and never peaked it.  This is the place to go for a relaxed evening with friends over some beverages.  The music did get progressively loud towards 11ish.  We were able to talk without shouting around 10pm.  They have big booths and the bar is large, definitely room for a crowd.  This is a place to go if you want to meet up with friends without having to dress it up in heels etc.  Yay for dive bars!

This place is not pretentious.  If you are looking for "that," you should head towards 7th/Grand areas...

I love dives! The service was really friendly! It was crowded since it was a busy Friday. Had to go further to find parking, but then again my friend and I didn't leave the house until after 11:30 pm. Anyway, finally got a chance to check this place out after I've been wanting to for awhile. The crowd is mix of everybody since it's right in downtown. But I can dig that. I love when gay dudes in the crowd go out of their way to tell me to "stop being cute"... plus it was two different gay dudes too.  Anyway, I got gin & tonics and they were mixed well. The bartenders were really friendly and were making sure we got our dranks on. Had to maneuver around to find some space to chill by, but finally a booth opened up so that was good timing. I really enjoyed it and I want to go back and be able to chill there more.

This was one of the first bars I started going to in DTLA. I love coming here during DTLA artwalk and it always gets packed. They have a dance floor in the back room and it can get crazy in there.
I've been meaning to come here on Monday nights as they have $2 Pints and specials on Jager shots.
I don't really drink PBR anymore but when I'm here I get the $6 PBR tall cans, it seems like everyone else does too.

This bar is seriously crazy and SO divey (but in a good way).  On a given night, you can get a crazy mix of people from suits to rockabillies.  But make no mistake, its a dive, a tall boy type of dive.

The decor is INSANE in this place.  For example, the following is a list of decorations inside the bar: Green Santa, giant Bison head with football helmet, velvet paintings of sexy ladies, velvet paintings of Elvis, GIGANTIC white horse that spans from the bar to the ceiling and it is wearing an american flag, garden gnome, caravel ship made entirely out of budweiser cans.

The best part about the place - the music by far.  They seriously play great song after great song the ENTIRE night.  There is also a dance floor in the back room to get yo boogie on.  Fun bar.

Love, love, love Bar 107. Been mostly there on Saturday nights. It's a dive bar with a legit dance floor (and by legit, I don't mean big, just mean with people actually getting their shit on in there).  It gets packed and sweaty which is awesome.  The crowd is a good mix of people who are all friendly and there to let loose and enjoy themselves.  No meat market type set up here.  No catty girls giving the evil eye when you squeeze by them on your way to the tinkle room.  No roofie bro's ( at least that I can remember).  The music is a mix of GOOD 80's and modern somewhat, yes, hipstery stuff,  which I prefer to the top 40's crap you hear everywhere else.

Only lame-o thing is that the DJ has a big fat sign/barricade keeping people from approaching him with requests.  Maybe it's a good thing though... not sure.  I guess I'd go crazy if some drunk girls kept spewing at me to play some horrendous song, and since the DJ there seems to pick his songs pretty well, I'll let it slide.

This might seem like your ordinary dive bar, but before you walk out, know this. The bartender can make rainbow shots! I don't know how she does it but she pours out like seven different colors from one shaker. Totally worth it (minus their super creepy red light bathroom).

Plus, it IS featured in Los Angeles magazine's 25 Great Nights Out.

Wow Bar 107 is sketch as F but the music is fun, the place is dark, you have people grinding up against each other just to get to the bathroom and side by side you have a cholo and a hipster enjoying tall cans of PBR, is this real life? Hell yeah, and its right in the middle of DTLA.

Honestly, I'm not too sure what happens at Bar 107 since by the time I get there I'm fairly inebriated but I do know they play 80s music and they have a poster of an almost nude Burt Reynolds posing like a champ making this place the best damn dive on this side of town. This place is authentically a dump but if you want to have the best time of your life without having to pay cover, dress to impress or need the big square ice cube in your drinks, then come on down and get your crunk on drinking Schlitz and PBRs while listening to Rock Lobster and Material Girl.

So my wife and I went this past Friday for a friend's birthday and the place itself was decent.  It was packed (keep in mind it was a Friday night) and the crowd was a mixture of DTLA hipsters, a few Raider fans and overall just your average laid back good people.  The bartenders were efficient, professional and friendly.  The prices were decent.  The DJ was playing a mixture o Freestyle, R&B, 90's hip hop and stuff that made you go "I remember this....or I dig this".
I would recommend you to hit up this place during the week instead, since its narrow architecture isn't built to handle crowds and you will be uncomfortable with people trying to get by you, regardless of where you're standing.

I only have ONE complaint about this place but unlike other yelpers I will not remove stars due to one person.  The door man (whoever was working Friday night) is an effiing little beeznotch.  He thinks he's all bad ass, and I mean who isn't a bad ass compared to hipsters, am I right?

Overall though, it's a cool place.  The staff was friendly inside and the music was cool, the prices were decent and if I'm ever invited there, I'll mos def come back but this time I will call that little bitch out (again, only ONE bad apple in that whole place, shoot even the bouncers walking around were professional and courteous).

Yup, it's a dive bar, but lots of fun!
A friend decided to celebrate his birthday there.  I've never even heard of the place.  Well, hubby and I are a bit older than those that were there.  Oh, but who cares - it was a blast!
No cover charge, packed to the gills, not stop dancing, and the drinks were reasonably priced!
Dance area was a bit small, but it was Fun! Fun! Fun!
Maybe one day we'll return again.

I've been to Bar 107 a few times.  Its a cool hang, no doubt.  If you like cheap beers, they aren't pretending they don't have them.  But, like other reviewers have said, the service isn't the best.  Last time I went in with a group of people, we stood awhile at the bar while the bartender was chatting with friends it seemed like.  For awhile.  We walked out and it was like we never came in.
Bonus! Photobooth.  Bonus dislaimer!  It doesn't always work.

Bar 107, I love you. I love all the weird crap on your walls, the nice bar back with the fluffy hair, and the awesome music you play. What I don't love is your watered down drinks. Fix that and you're golden.

If you're an uppity douche, you won't like this place. In that case, GTFO and free up that bar stool.

    This place sucks.

    1. Crowd is retarded.
    2. Decor is retarded.
    3. Fight breaks out inside and outside about every half hour.
    4. Drinks are watered down
    5. CROWDED AS HELL
    6. Bouncers are walking around pushing people to the sides just because they can.
    7. Dance floor is a joke. It's the size of my bathroom and its hot and you can't breathe.

There is one good thing though, drinks are cheap... very cheap. So if that's your goal then this is the place for you.

Don't try to meet women here, all you will find ... well I can't describe these women without sounding like a total douche so Ill just say don't come here to meet women.

Amongst ALL the uppity-up bars, I somehow find myself back in Bar 107.

I mean lets get real, who wants to always spend $15 on a drink, I don't!
Bar 107 provides that dive bar feel, with super cool bartenders with random ass decor. Find yourself in a booth or sitting at the bar, you might even scoot your way over to the dance floor. A flat screen tv for all you sports fans too.

Reasonable prices of course since it's a dive. Their beer selection isn't all that great, but they are stocked up on PBR for all you hipsters out there. Prices range from $5-10. We went and got 2 vodka tonics & 2 whiskeys about $30 bucks.

I've been here on a busy night (crammed!) and during HH on a Sunday (where it's kinda slow) Definitely check this place out if you're looking for something not pretentious like most DT bars. Super convenient location right off of 4th. And if you're craving some bomb food afterwards, head over to Rocket Pizza (since they closed down Urban noodle)

This is one of my favorite bars in DTLA. It such a gem that just enough people know the secret of.

I love the kitschy crap on the walls, I love the singing people at the bar, I love that on the outside it seems so divey, but on the inside, it's got a heart of gold.

This is a great stop for a casual night out with your friends. Simple drinks, good people, great vibe. A keeper.
