Not bad, but not great. The beer is great they have a good selection of bottled stuff and usually at least a couple quality craft brews on tap. If you want to drink beer while surrounded by fishing decor this is your place. The food is average Florida seafood. Grouper sandwiches, fish tacos, peel and eat shrimp, mahi sandwich, ext. Nothing too innovative. I'm not sure if this place is a franchise or a chain but it has that feel to it. So if you are in Safety Harbor and want to go to a bar that has Florida seafood this is your place.
Review Source:I stopped into the bar fly for dinner and loved the place, the vibe is really cool and laid back. The decor is amazing it's really fun to look around all the fishing themed ornaments. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp with a caesar salad on the side and the food was delicious I've never tasted better. The service was excellent as well very friendly and unobtrusive. They had music playing in the bar area while I ate it was really nice as well I couldn't see the performer but could hear it very well. Be it known that the Bar Fly is a bar AND a restaurant not just a bar with food.
Review Source:Cool littel place. Â No, literally, little place! Â Max capacity in here must be 20 or so. Â Not that I'm complaining. Â They've got a decent beer selection, and the these is definitely FISHING! Â Everytime I'm in Safety Harbor, I stop in and will continue to do so. Â
Not much in the way of a tip I can add, so I apologize. Â Just stop in and say "hi" and support local business.
I didn't really get this place. It's a gimmick, having a fly fishing shop and bar in one. My question is Why? Is anyone who stops in for a beer going to want some fly fishing tips? And the beer selection wasn't that huge, compared to some other local watering holes. However, the saving grace is the staff. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. We originally bellied up to the bar, but it was a bit cramped so we went to sit outside and the bartender came out to check on us a bit later to see if we wanted another beer. There was also good live music on Saturday night. I guess I'm not the target demographic, but I would suggest picking either bar or fishing shop and focus on that. The bar could earn another star or two in my mind if it did.
Review Source:Such a cute little place!! It's pretty small but they are super nice people. Love the color and how clean and airy this place is. All sorts of beer but sadly there's no liquor.
Very different to the dark and dirty bars. It's def a place to go to when you want to talk and laugh. Very fishing orientated!
It's such a lively place open late at night in Safety Harbor. Must check if you're in the area.
Talk about a breath of fresh air! Â When you walk into Bar Fly, that's exactly what you feel. Â Island colors and themes of Key West decorated pleasantly with fish and marine art contributed by local artists. Â And, if you're into fly-fishing, then Bar Fly is a must on your to do list. Â
Bar Fly is not your typical watering hole. Â It brings an element of creativity to the patrons. Â At Bar Fly, you can sit down with a cold one and learn how to tie a fly. Â Or, if you're a seasoned fly-tyer, you can sit down and show off some of your favorite patterns to your fishing buds. Â
Tasty craft beers on draft and in bottles, homemade sangria and yes, they serve Bud Light too. Â Did I forget to mention the fish spread? Â Made locally, this is a favorite of mine. Â Make sure you try it! Â You'll be glad you did. Â Chips, salsa and goldfish crackers to munch on too! Â And, plenty of unique art and apparel on sale so that you can take something home that for sure will be admired by most. Â
If you're in Safety Harbor and you haven't checked out Bar Fly yet, put it high on your priority list to do asap. Â And, if you're from across the way and looking for something to do that's for sure worth the drive, come on down!
