The bison is a beast!!! Went here recently with some co-workers and decided to try the bison dog with no slaw and it was delicious.
Both of the co-workers got brats and half-way through their brats, with bun, brat and toppings falling out of their mouths, they piped up and said, "Hey, can you put another brat on the grill for me?" Guess the brats were beastly as well.
Come to Busta Grill for a satisfying lunch without busting your wallet. Great selection of sausage, bison hot dog n other meat goodies.
Anyone can grill sausage and put it on a bun but Busta Grill took it to the next level by topping it with some amazing homemade sauces, a pepper spread and an unnamed delicious creamy sauce. The sweet grilled onions, crunchy fried potato sticks (South America inspired), slaw and other toppings set this food stand apart and above your boring hotdog stand.
Great outside benches to sit on near by, plenty of metered parking for those driving.
A Lincoln well spent for a satisfied belly. No surprise that this is a fave amongst the lunch-goers back on Washington and Brook in our own food truck haven. Brats, some chicken yummyness, polish sausage, beef, and all the toppings you can imagine at this hot dog stand on crack. Just mustard and ketchup? Boring! He's got the kitchen sink. Fried onions, Fried potato sticks, some awesome red pepper hummus spread, some other awesome garlic aioli, a flavorful (with just a kick) chimichurri slaw, and probably a few more things I'm forgetting. Get it all. For free. Most are 5-5.50 for your dog, chips, and drink and there are even a few tables in the little park behind the stand. Feel like a kid and appease that tummy all in one visit to Busta Grill. Then you can join the HDA (Hot Dog Alliance!)
Review Source:Not your average hot dog stand! I got a really tasty chicken sausage. It comes with some kind of creamy mayo type sauce, some spicy sauce, pesto slaw and fried crispy onions. Unexpectedly delicious, imaginative toppings. So, so good, and a great deal!
The only thing I don't like about the location is the courtyard around the Humana building for some reason chose old tires as mulch, so the whole area smells like a burnout. Worth tolerating for Busta Grill.
I'd like to preface this by disclosing the following: I love street food.
Hot dogs, falafel, sausages, cheesesteaks...it's all good to me. There's nothing more refreshing than ordering from a cart and hanging out outside, enjoying the great weather, and...
...a three cheese chicken sausage with chimmichurri slaw and fried onions?
Ah, fuck yeah.
As far as creative twists on street food go, Busta Grill is head and shoulders above the fray. I've had a chance to check out the chicken sausage, the bratwurst, and the veggie dog, and all three delivered. The only thing I have yet to try so far is the Bison dog, but I'm sure that it would be just as delicious as the rest. The previously mentioned chimmichurri slaw, garlic aioli, and fried onions really put a special twist on an already quality base ingredient. The sausages themselves are thick, meaty, and filling.* On top of all this, Busta Grill offers a sliding discount on Fridays for Joe Pesci impersonations - the better the impression, the better the deal.
The service is outstanding. You can really tell that the owner / operator, Adam Colvin, really loves his line of work and has a passion for food. It's great to spend a half hour munching on a sausage** and some chips and shooting the shit about heavy metal, or local music, or food.
Oh...and on top of that, he's got a vegan-friendly weiner.* How's that for greatness! Vegetarians, take note. Â
Check out Busta Grill down near the Humana building most weekdays for lunch. You won't be disappointed.
*That's what she said.
**That's what she did. Did you seriously expect me to get through a review for a sausage place without dick jokes?
