We had an outstanding dining experience @ Casa Nostra.  We were flying into LAX and left time to drive over for dinner before heading on for the rest of our evening plans.  Not too surprisingly, United was extremely late, and we had to change the reservation time ~ 5 times.  The final time was ~ 15 minutes before their closing time at 11 pm.  All throughout, the Casa Nostra team was professional and hospitable.  When we finally got there, we ordered quickly.  My wife and I had a seafood dish, with a caesar salad starter.  All were incredible.  We wrapped things up with canoli and cheesecake - delicious.  Great food, ambiance and service.  We'll be back.

Went here for happy hour, it's a cute Italian spot close to the hub of Figueroa LA life, aka like walking distance from Staples Center and LA Live.

Good:  meatballs, some seafood appetizer (it had clams, mussels bread forgot what it is called)

Cocktails are hit and miss, some are overly sweet or powerful, others are OK.

My boyfriend and I were indecisive on where to eat on a Sunday evening, so we Yelped a restaurant near our place. The restaurant had great reviews with delicious food pictures, so why not give it a shot? We arrived and friendly staffs welcomed us. The restaurant had a delightful ambiance. Unfortunately, the food was not at the level as I expected. The Carpaccio appetizer ($12) we had was just a-okay. Then, we ordered the Squid Ink Spaghetti with lobster ($28) and Prosciutto Pizza ($16) for our entrees. We enjoyed the spaghetti but for that price, we've had better for sure. As for the pizza... Oh my... It was incredibly disappointing. I'm a huge pizza fanatic and coming from a 4.5 star restaurant with the price range of $$$, my expectations are high by default. Although I didn't see any reviews about their pizzas, I still thought, how bad could it possibly be coming from an Italian restaurant?! It literally looked like those Celeste's frozen pizzas topped with any other prosciutto you see at the market. It looked absolutely unappetizing and the taste was bland and salty. It was the worst pizza I've ever had in my life... At the end when we asked for the check, the waiter brought out two glasses of Moscato dessert wine with their shortbread cookies. It was nice of them to offer complimentary desserts but needless to say, I won't be returning again.
