Note this Chipotle is busy all of the time, day and night. Parking lot is always full, cars parked illegally and the line is always at the door. A friend lives down the street and the neighbors hate that people are always cutting down the street that why there's now speed bumps on Mt Vernon to slow down traffic.
Employees are swamped all day long so they're not that friendly
You will have faster service and at times no line at the Norwood location on Montgomery Road in Surrey Square go to this location instead.

Best Chipotle ever! These guys rock it out all the time...line moves fast, and my bowl is always perfect!

Chipotle is alright.  I've had one near by since they first came to Ohio in 1999, so I'm well past the "OMG I love this place" mentality.  With that said, burritos are a staple of my diet so I tend to frequent places like Chipotle, Qdoba, Hot Head, etc...this particular Chipotle has issues.

First, parking is awful. It's limited and people park illegally (and poorly).  You might be better off parking at Kroger and playing Frogger.

Second, there is always a long line.  That isn't necessarily a problem, but for whatever reason the staff is incredibly slow.  While they don't skimp on ingredients like other Chipotles, they move at a snail's pace.

If you absolutely must have Chipotle then be prepared to have your patience tested at this location.

I have to say in general I like Chipotle.  I'm not obsessed by it as some are but I think it's a decent meal.  That being said, I abhor this particular Chipotle.  Strong word, yes, but I'm not overstating my opinion of the place.  I really wish I could give it negative stars.  The parking is atrocious. It gives me stress just driving by the place on my way to Kroger.  The line is always slow moving and on one occasion they ran out of chicken at 8pm on a weekday night....how do you run out of chicken at a burrito joint?  In addition, they were also out of guac this particular night and I heard a staff member yell to another that he wasn't going to bother to make more because it took too long (huh?).  I'd like to say this was a one time experience but this is always how this location is.  So I will never again step foot in this location and will take my business to either Qdoba in Rookwood or Chipotle in Fairfax.  I have to drive further but I refuse to give anymore of my money to such a poorly run business.

PS - I think so many people are on their smartphones at this location is because it takes so long to get through the line.  I once brought a Boden catalogue with me to pass the time....no joke.

As far as the chains go, I generally remain a big Chipotle booster.

And inside the doors at this particular location is still a well-run fast-food restaurant that serves even better stuff than the average Chipotle.  My hat remains tipped to whoever is managing this restaurant.

But because of the lack of reasonably-priced, semi-healthy dining options on the east side of town, this location is overrun with customers.  Good for Chipotle, but not for us.  The problem is more acute in the way-too-small parking lot, which is an insanity-inducing clusterf*ck on just about any weekday evening.  On too many occasions we have driven up, witnessed the vehicular madness, said "screw it" (or worse), and driven off to another restaurant (I am ashmed to admit that we have even driven over to the Norwood Chipotle a couple of times....).  Sometimes you can't even turn into the parking lot from Paxton because it is so jammed up.

My understanding is that Chipotle does not franchise, so it's on Chipotle corporate to do something about this parking craziness.  The solution would seem to be to rent part of the massive parking lot from the pitiful, always-empty Taco Casa location next door.  (The owners there make clear that Chipotle customers will be towed.)  Please cough up the cash to make this happen, Chipotle.

So although I think Chipotle is good, it is not good enough to deal with this nonsense on a regular basis.  Hence the downgrade.

P.S. The other solution is for some striving entrepreneurial person to open up some good burrito competition on this side of town.  I wish I were that person, because there is hand-over-fist cash to be made.

P.P.S.  I have written Chipotle with my parking grievance.

P.P.P.S.  I am mystified by the review complaining about the staff's not "understanding English."  This is just about the best fast-food staff you'll encounter, and we've not once had any communication problem here in many, many visits.

P.P.P.P.S.  We just recently stopped in on a very crowded weeknight, and the staff on the food line, which was completely non-Latino, was the NOT the best you'll encounter.  So maybe this location doesn't have that plus any more, either.

P.P.P.P.P.S. There has apparently been an amendment to the "North Face" rule mentioned in my original review.  The amendment states that at least 75 percent of solo diners in line at this Chipotle location, and even as much as 25 percent of those accompanied by others, must be obsessively fiddling with smartphones as they wait to order.

I try to eat locally and eat good food, but Chipotle gets me everytime. Its just so delicious. This Chipotle is like most other Chipotles you have encountered: crowded, good food, nice staff. If you plan on eating around lunch time on a week day, be sure to order online to make your wait faster.

Sterile and bland.  Don't understand English.  Asked for less rice and just got a blank stare. I pionted and gestured, but he just put on too much and passed it on.  Needs more variety, also.

Ok, I admit.  As much as I try to avoid chains, I can't seem to avoid Chipotle!  I can easily go and get a burrito bowl and some chips and have plenty of food for two or three meals!  Even though the line is usually almost all the way out the door during peak hours, it moves very quickly.  (Unless you have someone in front of you ordering for the entire office or an indecisive person- ugh!)

The ingredients are always super fresh.  And although there aren't many options available for vegetarians, I am quite content with my veggie burrito or burrito bowl!

I think I'm partial to this Chipotle, I went to another one close to Dayton and I thought the rice was too salty.

Good for fast and fresh Mexican food, even though it is a chain!

Subway for Mexican food. Cheap, almost all the ingredients are great. Right next to taco casa and a much better choice!

    Parking is a little rough.

Food is great, but the parking is definitely lousy. People often have to make up a parking spot along the curb. I am eating a chicken burrito right now and I think I'm in heaven.
