Service was great, food... tasteless.  Our whole group was underwhelmed..  I was looking forward to our visit to this restaurant/gastropub and unfortunately, won't be running back.

What does it say about Denver when Westward rates these 'Mac n Cheese' fries as one of the best dishes in town?!  Fries were generic, freeze dried type french fries and the cheese...  reminded me of powdered mac n cheese stuff.  Disappointing.. especially after all the hype.

This place having 4-stars reduces my trust in Denver Yelpers, because this was just.  plain. awful.

Jonesy's...I really wish I could rave mad things about the food because I really enjoyed my overall dining experience.

So, this is a funky little restaurant with very cool, friendly wait staff. We moved tables 3 times d/t being uncomfortable under the blaze of the sun on the patio. We ended up inside with the A/c.

For dinner, we started off with the famous fries. Got a split order of truffle fries and the thai chili garlic fries. They pull it off really well. The fries are kind of McD's style...thin and crispy. The truffle fries are loaded with truffly (is that a word?) flavor. The thai flavored fries had a good kickin' and quite tasty as well. They had the sweet chili sauce (probably something you'd find at the Asian market), cilantro, minced ginger, and scallions. Who would have thought about this going on fries? Apparently Jonesy. These were pretty addicting.

I ordered the cheeseburger sliders. Now, this is the main reason I"m only giving 3 stars...For a place that specializes in fries, you should be able to do burgers pretty well, no? They were pink in the middle but very dry. The buns were also not warm, seemed like they sat out for a while before bringing them to me. The cheese they put on it was shredded, which I thought was odd. Why not just use a slice? Eh, whatevs. I had to order ketchup and mayo to be able to eat them.

My friend ordered the mussels ...I believe they were the Malaysian mussels. Wow, I had a taste of the sauce and it was to die for! Spicy, sweet, salty, all this goodness in just the sauce. I'd go back and just get a plate of that instead of burgers.

And of course, I had a cocktail (or 2- hey I was on vacation). I got a Shanghai Mule, cousin of my all-time favorite, the Moscow Mule. I've never had a cocktail with a drinking vinegar...I admit I was skeptical about drinking vinegar, but this was done quite well. You definitely taste the vinegar, but you get it more in the finish of the sip rather than at the forefront. It was sooo good and sooo refreshing. It was served in a little glass, not the copper cup, but I would totally go back and order this again.

If I could I'd give 3.5 stars. I'll be back here just for the Shanghai Mule! Yes, it's THAT good.

Overall: AWESOME. I had the mushroom pasta and I wish I was still eating it right now . But, I have to admit that I disagree with pretty much the world apparently on the "Best dish in Denver" fries (the bacon mac n cheese fries). I thought the cheese could have been better and it definitely needed more bacon. Service was fantastic though!

Heard about Jonesy's EatBar from some other friends and thought it was time to give it a try. Went to a baseball game at Coors Field before hand, and it took about 5 mins to get to Jonesy's after wards.

Happy hour is from 3-6, which is nice because we went on a Sunday. The happy hour applies to some food and drink items like different toast points, mussels and sliders. Drink selection was pretty good; good mix of on tap and bottled beers.

We ended up ordering a plate of Bacon Mac & Cheese fies/Truffle Fries to start off the night along with Normandy Toast. The fries were OFF THE HOOK. For real, these fries had great flavor and texture. The toast points were also good. For the entrees I got a mix of the sliders since they were on Happy Hour: The bacon&bleu, classic cheeseburger, and 2 turkey sliders. My wife ordered the mushroom pasta with edemame. The sliders were awesome and the mushroom pasta was flavorful. I wish the pasta was made with something else than angel hair, but that is just me.

I did have one issue that erked me. At the end of the meal our waitress brought out the ticket and combined all 4 of us without asking if it needed to be split. We then asked to split it and she said "can you add it up because I am kind of busy." Other than that, the service was great and the Happy Hour specials were a great deal. This place is worth it to come just for the Happy Hour beer and fries.

One of the best happy hours in the city.  Cool decor, friendly staff, good food and drink.

    Power lunch -- Jonesy's style.

That's what I was craving after a long weekend morning slog in the office.

And not just any lunch, mind you.  I was craving something greasy, comforting, and satisfying.  That something was Jonesy's famous lamb sliders.

I walked over at around 11:30am on a Sunday.  It was brunchtime, and the place was abuzz with activity.  Luckily, I was flying solo, and seating at the bar was abundant.  The space is adorably retro and cozy, and it was easy to feel comfortable.  The efficient, cheerful, and boisterous bar staff added to the appeal.

Deciding what to order was easy: a pair of lamb sliders and a side of truffle fries for $10.  Seemed like a no-brainer.

The lamb sliders are really as awesome as everyone says.  Tender, savory, sweet -- like mini sloppy joes but with ten times the flavor.  I appreciated that they were well constructed and didn't fall apart upon being picked up.

I wish I could have been equally enthusiastic about the truffle fries.  I didn't really care for them.  The fries seemed undercooked, with barely any crunch on the outside and some off-putting rawness on the inside.  The abundant truffle oil, aioli, and parmesan cheese helped considerably, though.

That said, Jonesy's is still a win, overall.  I'd totally go back.

I went here a couple weeks ago, and I herd they have the best Mac and cheese in town. And yes yes they do! Recommended on the menu to add broccoli and bacon, heaven in my mouth! I also have the shrimp sliders that I dipped in the Mac and cheese and it's to die for. I was do thrilled I went back the next day for dinner with a friend. Thank you for good service and amazing food.

What a nice treat! Happy hour on a Sunday. It's a funky little place, where the servers were all friendly and quirky (I like that!). We debated on cocktails versus beers for a while and seeing as it was such a nice day, we decided, what the hell?! And we had some cocktails. I had the shanghai mule (I think it was better than the scurvy punch). I already love ginger beer/vodka combinations, so add some honey and lime and I had the perfect sunday afternoon drink that I was craving - refreshing and tangy.

We went for the world famous fries with the truffle parmesan topping, the lamb slider, and the blue cheese bacon slider. The fries- true to their name, were simply delicious. I may know a guy from Idaho who would argue with me that these are second best to some place in Boise. But second best in the U.S. is alright in my book. I like the flavor of truffle oil and you really taste it with each bite of those perfectly cooked fries (a little crunch, a little potato). And spare no expense on the parm! Powdered so each fry has the joy of being coated by cheese. At other places it's a secret battle over the few and far between shavings of parmesan. Now I'm not saying there was any lack of fry scraping at the bottom of the plate, because we definitely soaked up every last bit of truffle oil, aioli, and parm....mmm...ok, sliders.

On to the sliders. I feel like I shouldn't be so impressed by these sliders! But the last few times we've tried to order sliders, we've been so disappointed! Dry, cold, and flavorless, these sliders were not! I'm glad we found a place with unique and good sliders for happy hour!

Finally, it's always embarrassing when your server comes over to your table to ask how everything was and you look at her sheepishly while she examines your clearly licked clean plates. At least it's a good sign for them! And duh, we'll be back! The mac and cheese WFFs are already calling us back. And I noticed some people working on their laptops, so maybe next time we will try happy hour and work...just to help get the creative juices flowing.

I reserve the right to add another star. I am being cautious because this place might be my new best friend.

Yelper extraordinaire Wanda C invited me to go to HH today, and when she tossed out this spot as a possibility, I said YES PLEASE!!! I'd read some reviews about this place, and knew I was in heaven.

When they name it "EAT BAR" they are not lying. But, to be more specific, it is a FRENCH FRY bar. Truffle fries, bacon mac n cheese fries, buffalo wings fries...

Today, we shared some of the truffle and bacon mac n cheese fries (I hang my head in shame that the plates weren't clean as a whistle at the end. Not because they weren't delicious, but because I over ordered). I had a nice glass of the Colorado Cider (SO GOOD!). Then I had some rumaki and a turkey slider. The rumaki was DELICIOUS. Bacon was crispy and the water chestnuts crunchy. The turkey slider, with its fennel and crispy onions, was superb.

Look, I can eat. I mean, I can EAT. But this was way too much food. If you come for happy hour with only one other person, control yourselves and get ONE order of fries. ONE. Then maybe share another HH plate, and get one more for yourself. You'll still need to be rolled home.

Hold up! Are you saying I haven't taken the time to write a review for Jonesy's Eatbar? How could that be?

We're talking about a place that has "Man Monday" where you can get a steak and martini for a reasonable price.

It's also a place that may have some of the best damn shrimp and grits I've found in Denver.

Add to that, the cool vibe, great service and yummy drinks, I am embarrassed that it's taken so long to post a review.

Oh yeah...THE FRIES! How'd I forget the fries?

Jonesy's is a fun, lively, and eclectic neighborhood gastro pub.  The kitchen is committed to the use of fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal ingredients.  This means they are not afraid to change things up as often as needed or offer nightly specials with fresh from the garden ingredients.  The owners are also very involved with the community and the Denver culinary scene in general so Jonesy's will host special events and dinners from time to time.

Everyone raves about Jonesy's fries and, while I don't quite share the enthusiasm, I would like to congratulate them for being recently honored in U.S. News & World Report Travel's "America's Best French Fries."  The dishes that I like best at Jonesy's are the Alamosa striped bass, Low Country grits, the tapenade, samosas, and the create your own brunch scramble.  Everything I've tasted so far has been fresh and delicious.

Jonesy's has recently revised its hours so that happy hour starts at 3:00 PM daily and includes the following specials: $2 off house specialty cocktails, $5 select wine by the glass, $4 select cocktails, and $4 select Colorado craft beers.  Bookcliffe Vineyards has partnered with Jonesy's and created some unique and ever-changing blends of house wines.  I highly recommend sampling a glass or two.

Every neighborhood needs a place like Jonesy's.  I just wish it were a little closer to my neighborhood.

I hope Margaret takes over the restaurant and bar scene here in Denver and convinces everyone to join her brigade of culinary-pub enthusiasts.  The food here is, like next door at Horseshoe, out of this world.  I've lived right above both these businesses for 4 months and I have yet to find something to dislike about either.  I wish the best for the staff and ownership because Jonesy's and Horseshoe deserve a place in every future of Denver.

Went on a Monday evening for happy hour. Electic beer selection and decent happy hour specials. Joneseys are famous for their fries. I got the curry fries and they were absolutely delicious. Great neighborhood, quaint little patio, and the staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable on menu items and drinks.

Very pleasant surprise!  Happened to stop by. Looked cozy from the outside. No regrets here.

Very friendly people. Sat at the bar. It was Wino Wednesday at I got a $5  glass of Syrah. Chapoutier although it was a Cte d rousillon.  Great deal anyway. Lamb sliders with truffle fries - it was really good. Great flavors. A glass of Montepulciano was a good match with the cheese tasting.

Totally worth it. I'll be back.

The french fries are very good. I also had the "Low Country Grits" (grits with andouille sausage, shrimp, and crawfish) and they were really good. One of the desserts I tried (Luvin Cup?) was excellent.
Definitely good value, very good service and ambience and not too far a walk from the downtown area.

Well, I'd really like to give this place an actual review but since I couldn't eat there, I can't.

I really can't explain how aggravting it was to get my family together to go to brunch and arrive at 10 after 10 to find the place dark with absolutely no sign of life. (There was a bike inside inspiring some hope that maybe someone was in there but no, no one showed up). Several people walked up to find themselves in our same situation. No sign on the door, nothing.

    FAIL.

I think the atmosphere here is GREAT.  I went for wino-Wednesdays with a friend for the $5 glasses of wine.  My friend loved his shrimp slider, and we also ordered the bacon mac n' cheese fries and the truffle fries.  The fries weren't great!  The truffle fries were coated in mayo with truffle oil in it, and the mac n' cheese fries just had some sort of liquid cheese drizzled over them.  Then for dessert we ordered the "lovin' cup," and it was a strange mishmash of flavors - cute presentation but not great either!  I love spicy chocolate and salted caramel, so I was disappointed as I thought it sounded perfect.  I thought it was going to be served warm, but it was a cold, spicy chocolate mouse with two tiny cookies on the side and then a spoon with some room temperature caramel in it.

Jonesy's is the place to go when you want to hang out with friends. They have some of the best fries, a huge dining area that is spread out so you don't feel like you are on top of other patrons, and a bar area where people can be a bit more cozy. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is top notch. I highly recommend this place for absolutely everyone. Seriously, what are you waiting for? Go now.

This review is french fry focused. Because I love french fries and if you don't love french fries you're just weird... Read on.

If you love fries, Jonesy's is the place to go. You can make a meal out of their fries and chances are after you overstuff yourself you will still dream of them later.

--Truffle - My personal favorite. Light sauce packs a huge flavor punch and if you gave me a bottomless bowl I still wouldn't eat enough to feel satisfied.

--Bacon Mac and Cheese - Cheese and Bacon. Need I say more?

--Thai Ginger - The "sauciest" of all the options and definitely a very distinct flavor. Only order if you are a Thai fan.

--Buffalo - Wings are good. Fries that disguise themselves as wings are better.

Each of these lovely dishes is a meal in itself. Can't decide? Get a combo plate.

So the bf & I have been to Jonesy's twice now and are definitely fans of the place.

The first time we just went for drinks on a Sunday evening because Happy hour was from 3pm to Close. They had some good draft beers like Collette and we had some Bacon & Cheese fries as well which were pretty yummy. I loved the art deco look of the bar and the old school flooring in that area. Very cool.

I also really like the outside seating area and the lights and flowers that decorate it. So cute! As well as the extra bike rack which is also decorated with the flowers. Very convenient as we arrived on our bikes for the second visit.

We went back to try brunch the second time around and I got a $3 Mimosa with my Scramble. The Scramble you choose 3 items for (I got Mushrooms, Canadian bacon & Cheddar) and it comes with Rosemary roasted potatoes and a salad with a very good vinaigrette. I thought the roasted potatoes were a little cold, but otherwise everything was great.

The bf got the Brusque Eggs and thought it was wonderful. He also really liked the vinaigrette and the white beans that came with it.

The only issue we had was we wanted to sit outside and she said we couldn't. I guess it was just for people drinking? Because we did see people sitting out there, but no biggie. Also we were sat right by the front window and the tables and chairs were not on even flooring... so they were wobbly the whole time and I kept thinking I was going to spill my mimosa.

Overall it's a place I'll definitely be visiting again and again because it has a good vibe and good beer & food.

My wife and I both love French Fries, so when Travel & Leisure listed this as one of the six best French Fries in the country, it went on my to-do list, and especially with the Travelzoo deal, we were excited to finally visit.

The place has a great neighborhood vibe to it, with nice tables and seats. I would be there all the time if I lived in the area. We were there early enough to enjoy the happy hour prices on drinks, which include a lot of craft beers and some very good ones on tap.

The fries are to die for. The fries themselves are thin cut - not that great, it's all in the sauces they use. We had the aioli which was worth going out of our way for.  I can't wait to try the others.

The Travelzoo deal was four course, so we each next had a small salad. My wife loved the green salad with the ginger dressing, I had the caesar, which was a little goopy on the dressing, but still good.

The entrees were very good. I have the angel hair pasta. The sauce was a little too creamy for my taste, and I would have like more veggies in it. But it was very good. My wife had the salmon which was outstanding.

For desert we split the chocolate parfait with caramel, which the waiter told us had been added to the menu that day. Wow, it was amazing.

Overall, one of the best dining experiences we have had in Denver.

Incredible brunch! Lamb Benedict = lifechanging. I ordered it as a recommendation from the waitress and will forever be grateful to her for enlightening my belly with its goodness. Similar to finishing a really good book, I lingered throughout  my meal because I didn't want it to be over. For the first time in my life, I didn't even touch the side of breakfast potatoes because that would eliminate valuable space in my stomach. I could go on... but you get the point. Even if you're not usually an adventurous eater, get the Lamb Benedict and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Aside from the awesome food, Jonesy's has a super homey atmosphere that feels like you're just hanging out, eating and drinking in someone's living room. Cute, mismatched coffee mugs top off the charm. And the staff makes you feel right at home with friendly, personable service.

They open at 10 a.m. on Sunday for brunch, so we got there right around that time. We were easily seated, but the place filled up quickly. By 10:30-ish there were larger groups on a wait.

    Love, love, LOVE Jonesy's!

I went after seeing an article that they were in the top 10 french fry places in the US.  They were quite good - had the Bacon mac and cheese fries with the sliders.  My date had the turkey burger sliders with the truffle fries.

All of the food was wonderful and the service was friendly.  It's a little off the beaten path if you're an out-of-towner, which is nice.  You could tell from the feel of the other patrons, they all come here often.

The GF and I went here last night with two other couples for 5280 week. Here's the tale of the tape:

Parking: 4 stars. Right next to a very large and affordable pay lot, it was like $1 or $2 bucks.  The only issue was we couldn't find the pay station (I guess it was in the middle of the lot) and either the spots were unmarked or we couldn't see them because of the snow.  So I risked not paying, and was fine, but in the back of my mind during dinner I was praying I didn't get a ticket/towed.

Atmosphere & Decor: 4 stars. Very cool vibes in here, I'd call in "Hole in the Wall Chic."  Lots of old family photographs gave an interesting feel, yet also reminded me a little too much of being in my Grandmother's house.  Also extra bonus points for the Calvin & Hobbes wallpaper trim in the bathroom (still kicking myself for not snapping a picture).

Food: 5 stars.  Didn't hear a single complaint from anyone on the food.  Not the type of place to come if you are on a diet or trying to eat light, but we came to feast, and feast we did!  I went with the Savory Duck Rice Pudding and would highly recommend it.  Also the Nepalese Samosas were a big hit as an ap.  There's so much on this menu that I wanted to try(Low Country Grits, Lamby Joe Sliders, Spicy Shrimp Po'Boy, Posole, etc), but only so much room in the belly... next time!

Service: 3 stars.  Really my only complain with the place was the service.  Our server seemed fairly disinterested and slightly annoyed with us and our food came out at an alarmingly slow rate, especially considering we ordered our first 3 courses upfront.  Luckily we were enjoying our table conversation so it never really became an issue.  I'll cut them a little slack though because it was 5280 and were probably busier than they expected on a Tuesday night.

5280 Deal: 5 stars.  The entire menu is fair game unlike what is listed on the 5280 website so that was a nice surprise.  For $52.80 each couple got an appetizer to share, an entree salad to share, any entree (1 per person), and either a full dessert to share or two 1/2 servings.  The also had plenty of $5 wine & drink specials.

All in all a great night and I will be back.  If you are looking for an "off the beaten path" type of night out and you're ready to grub down on some soul food, this is the place.

I went here on a quiet Monday night and had a nice time. I don't really understand the rave reviews. It's a nice atmosphere, the food is good, but not anything I would be raving to my friends about or find myself dying to go back.

Our server was funny and helpful.

I had the truffle fries, which were good. The single serving is a whopper! That was more than enough for just me, and I could have shared the single serving with someone else.

I also had the mac and cheese, which was also good, but nothing amazing.

When they say this place has the best fries, they aren't kidding! I've only tried the buffalo and the truffle parmesan, but it's worth it just to go back for those!

Their sliders are super delicious, too. I've tried both the portobello and the cheeseburgers. Definitely recommend both. I'll be back to finish trying all of them, as well as the list of fries!

Brunch is okay. I'd go back more for their dinner fare.

Only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the french fries. How can it be that the Healthiest city in the states, has the BEST freagin french fries?

We got every single type of french fries they had on the menu, they were all awesome. If I lived here I would probably be here after work everyday with a beer and a one of the french fry plates.

Everything else we ordered was Awful! Cold sliders, dry meat, caked on blue cheese, sloppy dry goat meat, the list goes on and on and on.

    Waitress wasn't much help either...

Doesn't add up.... just improve the rest of your menu and you will increase revenue!

I know, I know...so late to the party!! We finally got over here last Sunday for some brunch. Sadly, I had a cold so did not partake in the bottomless mimosas that are only $7.50! BUT I did have some yummy Sunday Grits that came with andouille sausage and a poached egg. Delicious! Those grits are delicious!! So creamy and perfect. Much better than the grits I had at another establishment a few weeks ago. Highly recommend.
Hubs had the benedict (of course) which he thoroughly enjoyed too.
We had 3 servers. Not sure who gets the tip in such a scenario but it ensured that we received everything promptly which is always a delight.
Someone may have mentioned in a review or two that there fries are worth trying so I guess we'll have to come back again for those. I'd already clogged the arteries set aside for that day!

Sad - Jonesy' seems to lost some if its goodness. The atmosphere and service were still spot on, but the food has taken a bit of a dive since my last visit.

My friend and I started with the Pacific Mussels and to my dismay many weren't opened very much and most tasted kind of fishy. The broth was excellent, but the mussels themselves were not up to par.

I went with the shrimp po' boy sliders and they were good - not great - they were just missing something. All I tasted was spice - no balance there. And lastly, the Bacon Mac n' Cheese fries were okay, but overall kind of lacking...namely the bacon and cheese.

On the plus side, the cocktails were amazing and again, service and pricing were all good. Maybe an off night in the kitchen?

THIS PLACE HAS AMAZING.....FRIES. AND THAT'S IT!!!

My group of 10 came here before our night out in Denver for a bachelor party. They provided us with ample seating  which was nice because they were pretty damn busy, as it's a popular spot in Denver.

We heard this place was known for their fries so we ordered all 5 different types and all took a little from each as we passed them around the table. I'm going to be honest and say those fries were freaking amazing! The buffalo and Thai were among my favorites, but the truffle, the cheeseburger, and the macaroni were still really tasty. This is, however, where the good review stops.

We all were pretty satisfied after the fries, but ordered a main course as well. Most of us ordered sliders, and they were just awful. The bachelor got lamb and ate 1 of the 3 as he couldn't even force down the other two they were so terrible. I, as well as my brother, ordered the Bacon blue cheese sliders, and wow... disgusting. The meat was...just meat.. and the blue cheese? It made the slider inedible. Another friend got the original cheeseburger sliders and ate them all, but admittedly said they weren't really any good.

I give this place 3 stars because the fries are one of a kind. They really are a staple at this place. SO go here and eat the fries, but don't waste your time with the rest of the menu.

Sunday brunch at Jonesy's is a treat. They have grits, scrambles, egg in a hole and all kinds of other yummy brunch food that everyone around me was trying.
I had an egg scramble with spinach, mushrooms and cheddar. It came with a green salad and potatoes, but I said no to the potatoes and had a side of sausage instead.
It was well seasoned and prepared and so delicious. Everyone around me loved their food as well. I think the bottomless mimosas didn't hurt either.

The service was spot on; and that couldn't have been easy since there were about 35 of us there. I don't know how the servers pulled it off. They must be very efficient and well organized up front as well as in the kitchen. I was very impressed.

The restaurant decor was relaxed and friendly and somewhat bohemian. The dishes are mix and match and you just feel very comfortable on the whole.

Now, restrooms: I found out that they have one on the bar side with two stalls and one on the restaurant side with one stall. The reason I mention it is because I found this out after I found out that they are unisex bathrooms. I walked in and saw the pair of large men's feet below the stall and had to look at the door to make sure I wasn't in the wrong place. I'll tell ya, I've never been in and out of a restroom so fast in my life. I wanted to avoid seeing that guy outside his stall so bad. It was a little awkward to say the least. Next time I'm sticking to the single stall. I guess I'm just not that progressive. lol!

Denver needs more neighborhood places like Jonesy's, namely places which possess a relaxed atmosphere, satisfying food, and are undeniably authentic. I like that Jonesy's maintains its genuineness in this completely ruined neighborhood of recently constructed soulless apartments and Pilates studios.

Upon entering one can't help but notice the long bar which occupies the front room; if you are a booth person, there are plenty of those too. Funky chandeliers hang from the tin ceiling, old fashioned tiles cover the floor, and dark red paint is used on the walls which are hung with an eclectic mix of posters, mirrors, and pictures.  It works because it is not formulaic like your typical TGI Friday's which you thought was 'so neat' 20 years ago (hey now, some of us were old enough to drink 20 years ago so shut it!).

I came here for brunch with a whole lot of Yelpers which pretty much guarantees a good time, that is if you can get a word in on one of the three or four different simultaneous conversations...I didn't have any problems doing so.

Brunch means Bloodies or at Jonesy's $7.50 bottomless mimosas. What could be better at 10:30 on a Sunday morning?  Well, maybe some grits. Specifically cheesy grits topped with Andouille sausage and two poached eggs.

Any time I see a menu which has grits on it anywhere north of the Santee River I optimistically order the dish in order to recapture memories of my South Carolina vacations. The grits at Jonesy's were creamy, cheesy and very tasty. The Andouille sausage and the poached eggs...well I've had versions which I've enjoyed more. Specifically the sausage was not as spicy as I like it to be, but it was flavorful. Poached eggs in general are a P.I.T.A. to get perfect and unfortunately mine were overcooked; serving them atop the hot grits may have been their undoing.

The service was textbook perfect for handling a large group: keep the mimosas and coffee coming and you'll win the crowd - the servers at Jonesy's did just that.  The food came out surprisingly quickly. The most challenging part of accommodating a large group in a restaurant is the request for separate checks and then the reconciliation and multiple methods of payment; our servers didn't miss a beat, THANK YOU!

A little something from 'My Cousin Vinny':

Vinny Gambini: So obviously it takes you 5 minutes to cook your breakfast.

    Mr. Tipton: That's right.

Vinny Gambini: That's right, so you knew that. You remember what you had?

    Mr. Tipton: Eggs and grits.

Vinny Gambini: Eggs and grits. I like grits, too. How do you cook your grits? Do you like them regular, creamy or al dente?

Mr. Tipton: Just regular I guess.

    Vinny Gambini: Regular. Instant grits?

Mr. Tipton: No self respectin' Southerner uses instant grits. I take pride in my grits.

Vinny Gambini: So, Mr. Tipton, how could it take you 5 minutes to cook your grits when it takes the entire grit eating world 20 minutes?

    Mr. Tipton:I don't know, I'm a fast cook I guess.

Vinny Gambini: I'm sorry I was all the way over here I couldn't hear you did you say you were a fast cook, that's it?

    Mr. Tipton:Yeah.

Vinny Gambini: Are we to believe that boiling water soaks into a grit faster in your kitchen than anywhere else on the face of the earth?

    Mr. Tipton:I don't know.

Vinny Gambini: Perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist on your stove. Were these magic grits? Did you buy them from the same guy who sold Jack his beanstalk beans?

Okie Dokie- Before I start this review... I want to clarify that I consider myself quite a Denver Brunch-aholic, maybe mixed with a little bit of an alco- brunch- a-holic.  Only, kidding on the second one...

Anyways, I decided to try this place for Brunch the first time last Sunday when my mom came to visit.  The two things that made this place excellent in my opinion are, #1 the $7.50 bottomless mimosas. Super duper cheap, and super great for Sunday Funday.  Although I have to admit on this occasion, I went with a bloody- super spicy, just the way I like them!

#2- I love benedicts, and they had not 1, not 2, but 3 different options to try. Apparently they even have one with Lamb, something I've never even seen before on a brunch menu. Being pretty typical and boring, I went with the Traditional Benedict. (See photo I uploaded for you) I was surprised to find some lovely greenery on my plate, which I naturally scarfed down as soon as I saw it.  I guess its their standard to include salad with breakfast, this is something I definitely agree with.

My mom ordered the traditionalist breakfast, and noted that her bread was excellent.  Apparently its homemade. (I'm questioning if this isn't a standard practice at most restaurants?).  Anyways, order the sourdough for toast, I heard its amazing.

The moral of the story is that if you want Brunch, I've heard and can officially attest to the fact that Jonesy's EatBar is a fabulous choice.

    Oh my gawd! FRIES!

The fries are fantastic and you get a better than average selection. We also got mussels, sliders and grits. Well, we only got around to eating the fries, mussels, and sliders. We took the grits home and ate them the next day and they were still darn tasty.

Not really sure why it took us so long to check this place out.

We had such a great dinner here Friday night. We were able to get a reservation for our party of 5 earlier in the day. You need 5+ to get a reservation. A 5 minute wait and our table was ready. They transferred out bar tab to our table bill which is always nice.
I haven't been here for dinner in a long time and everything was so good. We started with truffle fries and mussels. Then my friend and I shared the duck confit for only $17 and the plate of 3 lamb sliders. Everything was so good we didn't have room for desserts.
If you haven't been here recently they have changed up the decor a little, but don't worry there are still games you can play.

Tag team waitstaffing.  I'm not sure it's a thing, but it should be.  We were helped by four or five different people during our time here, taking the drink orders, taking the food orders, bringing the food, refilling our waters, taking dessert orders, and taking the bill at the end of the night.  I can't even tell you how many times we've been at a restaurant with wait staff walking by us while we suffer with no water, or sit for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come take our check.  Here, it seemed like everyone was actually playing for the same team, and it was a BIG DEAL.  The staff wasn't the most personable, but damn if they didn't take care of business.  Nice.

Food wise, I don't know if you guys have heard anything about the fries, but they might just be the unappreciated secret dish here! (/sarcasm)  Seriously though, the fries, which are the first thing on the menu and the thing that everyone talks about, are great.  They're smothered in your choice of toppings (we went mac n' cheese and buffalo) and they are just the right amount of crunchy and salty without being burnt or super oily.

We also had low country grits (super buttery grits with andouille sausage, shrimp, crawdads, and spinach) and black bean sliders.  Both dishes were really good.  The grits may have been just a little TOO buttery, if such a thing exists, but the flavors were awesome.  The black bean patties, while not the best we've ever had, were in the top 3 for sure.  They held together nicely and had a good taste and consistency.

Finally, we had bread pudding, which was advertised as being chocolate and peanut butter.  We did not sense any peanut butter, but it was way good anyway.  Got an extra serving of chocolate ice cream to dump on top of it, too.  We knows how to eat.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here, even if we gained about six pounds from the one meal.  I suspect we'll return sooner than later.

So, I have seriously been here 3xs in the past week and have not been disappointed once. Actually, the guy who brought out my food was like "hey, you come here a lot". Probably helps that I can see their patio from my balcony.

If you are looking for classic. GET THE FRIES - for reals. You will not be disappointed. Well, maybe you will be, but then there is something seriously wrong with you, or you dropped them on the floor and let them sit overnight and then came back and ate them. Or maybe you don't like fries.

And um, beermosa. Yes please. They make it Agave Wheat - so that's awesome. And if you want to go straight up mimosa, well, they do those also.

Super awesome staff and the environment is chill.

I love the food here.  What I had at the Yelp Secret Supper in July was amazing.  What I had here recently was equally impressive.  We started with a double order of some of the best damn fries ever.  The buffalo and blue cheese ones are a must for anyone who likes these flavors.  The bacon Mac and cheese ones were super indulgent.  The portions were so large they impacted my ability to really chow down on the entrees.

My one friend had the Turkey Sliders with goat cheese.  These were definitely some of the best sliders I have ever tried.  My other friend had the Pork Belly with veggie (English peas) Risotto.  Wowza, was this ever delicious.  I went with the Duck Confit Posole.  I am a huge Posole fan, and outside of Mexico (or some Mexican families) I have seldom had one that impressed me.  This one was outstanding.  The depth of flavor, the heat, the complexity, the serving-size, all worked in perfect harmony.  Posole Rojo (Red . . . versus white or green) is almost always made with pork.  When you make it with chicken, the flavor is lost, and the meat dries out.  Chef Beau's concept of making it with duck confit is simply brilliant.  Duck cooked in its own fat does not dry out, and holds up well against the aggressive spices.

Chef Beau came over to say howdy, and he seems like a very cool dude indeed.  At his suggestion, we tried the house made proprietary blend of Cookie Monster ice cream (made from Sweet Action ice cream).

Chef Beau Simmons you absolutely ROCK!  I here by Dub you King of Booze and Fat and self proclaimed Cookie Monster.

I have been to several events when Chef Beau was serving food and I was finally able to get into the restaurant to eat a proper dinner.  I went off my no carbs mantra and wolfed down my share of the fries - Mac & Cheese and Buffalo.  A lovely bechamel sauce flows over and caresses the fries and then he throws big chunks of perfectly cooked bacon on top.  Then the other side is drizzled with hot wings sauce and then topped with a house-made blue cheese dressing.  They make me weak in the knees.

We then ordered the Pork Belly over Risotto, Duck Confit Posole and Turkey Burger sliders (with added goat cheese).  The Pork Belly was perfectly cooked (again fat and booze) and the risotto was very good - he added fresh English Peas that popped in your mouth with every bite.  I thought that the Posole was great but a little too spicy for my liking.  The Turkey Burger sliders were cooked perfectly and just the right blend and amount of spices, with the goat cheese adding the perfect touch.

Every plate of food this chef touches makes my tastebuds and tummy very, very happy.  If you have a chance to talk with the Chef you will get the chance to see and feel the passion this man has for food.

Leigh Jones you've got a great thing going.  Please keep it up.  I want more!
