La Piscine

I didn't actually spend much time here, I just went for about 10 mins to see the view and pricing because I wanted to throw my birthday here last month.

It was nice but after a bunch of miscommunication, it made me have a whole different prospective.

I wanted to have a group of people at the pool area to just hang out, have a few drinks and appetizers.
They told me if I have 20+ people coming, the group bill has to be a minimum of $2,100 and if I had a group less than 19, we'll be fine.
I definitely did not want to spend that much as a group so I had to invite fewer people than expected but thought it was okay and it'll be worth it.

I emailed to confirmed a group of 11-15 people 2 weeks before my birthday and I didn't get a confirmation form until the day before the party was going to happen.

Come to find out that I can't have the pool area for more than 3 hours (I wanted it for 6) and for a group of 11-15 people, everyone had to have a bill with a minimum of $60 which I found ridiculous.  

Not all of my friends drink and not all were going to eat. Majority of people just wanted to hang out and enjoy the pool (mind you, the pool is the tiniest thing ever) so not everyone was going to have a bill of $60.

The miscommunication and lack of professionalism was way too much for me so I cancelled my reservation and had to find somewhere else to throw my birthday last minute.

It was very frustrating but there are way too many great rooftop pool/bar areas in the city to even cry over this one.

Won't do business here... Ever.

Very very nice rooftop bar! I came here for a magazine launch party and the view was incredible; not to mention there is a pool on the rooftop, how cool is that! It's spacious with two bars available, and outdoor seating next to the pool was lovely designed. The drinks were ok, nothing too particular I can comment about. Would def come back again just for the ambience!

I would just like to express my extreme frustration with this place. The first time I went I had made a reservation at the pool rooftop and was demoted to the first floor restaurant because they had made a mistake. Not only did we sit in there by ourselves but the food was bland, the margaritas were pretty bad and it was way overpriced for very normal Mexican food (I'm Mexican). When I complained to the manager about the mix up there was nothing they could do and she apologized profusely and told me if I ever came back to call some special number but she couldn't guarantee they wouldn't mess up again since they were so disorganized. I took her up on it and called back, made my reservation on the roof only to find out they messed up again! They made the reservation for the wrong day and could not accommodate me for the date I had originally requested. They apologized again and said there was nothing they could do. I will never go or try to go back there again! Did I mention the size of the actual pool up there is the size of my bathtub?
