Convenient lunch spot for those who work in the innovation district. I walked in at 12:15 or so and there were still plenty of tables available. The Cajun shrimp and mango salad was pretty good and a good portion size, very filling for someone like me (small but a good eater).

I just wanted to follow up on my Lucky's review. The chef from Lucky's did reach out to me and offered me another visit, on him. This was nice and shows that they are paying attention and want to make experiences better. However, I don't think I will be going back to eat at Lucky's as the last time I stopped in for a drink the entire restaurant and lounge smelled like the restroom.

    I love Lucky's - 90% of the time.

As I work right around the corner, Lucky's has worked itself into my lunchtime rotation. Everything I've had for lunch has been great - the chopstick chicken salad, wings, buffalo mac and cheese, pulled pork sandwich, etc. The clam chowder is probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. It has some sort of spice thing going on (it's not pure white like most chowder) and it's topped with fried clam strips. Yes please.  Another must try: sweet potato fries. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they make a great anytime snack (especially while drinking).

I've also been here late night. Dark, loud and boozy. Enough said.

So why knock off a star / 10%? Brunch. I came with a friend around 10:30 on a Saturday morning. The place was dead. I ordered an omelette and it was essentially a thin layer of egg draped over a blob of filling. It was cold and not well incorporated. Maybe it wasn't great because it wasn't peak hours? I'm not sure. I'll give it another shot at some point, but based on the lunch food I've had there, I was pretty disappointed.

    Good dinners
    Good beer and drink selection
    Boss desserts

For dinner before a concert, my wife and I dropped in here to see what the place was about.  As we descended in through the unmarked door, pleasing live music of a one-man show breezed back up at us toward the street, and we adjusted to the dim, warm light of the place.  Tables and booths on the right, bar on the left, and a couple TV screens dotted around with (for this night only) that one-man show in the corner beyond the bar.  He normally sets up on the lounge side, he remarked later.

We took our seats and perused the menu for a bit - there's a medium-sized selection, but it's packed densely with comforting favorites and slightly offbeat choices we wanted to consider.  All in, we decided to collectively pick the house-made pickles, truffle fries, Chop Stick Salad, pulled pork minis, and goat cheese deviled eggs.  We were told to rest assured that would be PLENTY of food, and that was the truth.

I enjoyed their craft beer offering - plenty of macrobrews were available, but there was enough selection of intriguing options that I was happy.  I chose a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and a Victory Swing Saison.  My wife opted for cocktails; a Double Down and a Mango Martini.  All were pleasing.

Music was a great folk guitarist covering everything from The Boxtops to Stevie Wonder.  Impressive range and quality music.

Nice, helpful, attentive staff.  Everyone was polite and engaging, but gave us our space, too.

We lingered a little longer and decided to try their S'More's dessert.  Now, let me drop the truth that, I was still relatively full from my share of the tasty dinner, but I'm glad I indulged, because friend, you haven't had S'More's quite like this - and if you dig that dish, you'd best get to Lucky's Lounge.  Arriving on an unassuming dish with something like crackers and a crock of a froth-topped concoction, we soon found out this was serious as a heart attack.  Under that foamy topping was a denser layer of marshmallow and a thick, viscous, Nutella-esque chocolate base - combined, like a geological lesson on S'morific-ness.  Your proverbial pick axe for digging through this archeological site were something like these shortbread wafers, which, while a tempting dessert in and of themselves, excelled at the task at hand of shoveling copious amounts of RIDICULOUS CHOCO-MALLOW GOODNESS up to your watering mouth.  Ladies and gentlemen, this was essentially the chips n' dip of Heaven's Dessert Camp.  Purely outstanding.

There's no question I'll seek this place out again, for certain.  Highly recommended.

Alright.  The food is more gastropub than pub.  So that's nice.  The drinks are also pretty good.

I'm not 100% thrilled with the location (a walk from South Station...NBD, but also there isn't a ton out there unless you keep walking toward the waterfront).  Lucky's also overbilled me by $5 (I signed for $85, they billed me $90), which feels like it's not enough to call and complain.... but enough to feel cheated and suspicious of their practices.

The woman's bathroom was HORRIFYINGLY DISGUSTING.  Wet floor... which was actually just... flooding?  Toilet water?  Rainwater?  Regardless, it was so so gross.  Girls going in and out were tiptoeing and avoiding one stall that had the deepest puddle.

I want to like Lucky's.  And I think if I were already drunk when I got there, I'd give this 4 stars (because the food IS surprisingly good).  But... I don't know.  3 stars for now and we'll see if I bump it up later.

    Disappointing Sunday Brunch

Lucky's was recommended by friends who have had a great experience at the bar. We had a larger group of about 10 who came to Lucky's for their great brunch menu and bloody mary's (and about half the group was visiting from out of state). r  Within the first 15 minutes we knew we were going to be for a bad experience. The dining area quickly filled with only 1 waitress working... who was also the bartender (she told this to us up front to almost ""warn"" us that service will not be the best). She took our drink orders and 30 minutes later she finally took our meal orders (which were simple, straight forward menu items). We waited another 40 minutes to be served while all the other tables around us were being served before us (who also sat down 20-30 minutes AFTER us). We even had trouble trying to get the waitress' attention to order more drinks. Once our food came out (not by the original waitress but by other staff)- EVERY single order was incorrect and FREEZING cold and eggs severely under cooked- meals were so cold it was inedible. After a fun night of drinking and minimal sleep- the best thing is Sunday brunch. We were so hungry and annoyed that we did end up eating what we could... which was cold toast and homefries.r  I do not blame the waitress entirely. The manager was singing and entertaining (which he did sound great) but it seemed as though no one else was left in charge to make sure everything else was running smoothly. And the cook staff was not doing their job- you could tell that our meals were just sitting in the kitchen and no one seemed to notice or do anything about it.r  The waitress asked how the meals were- we were honest and told her how bad of an experience this was. She made the decision upon herself to have Lucky's take care of our entire bill. Which I felt was appropriate because the service and meals were awful! But I felt that was a big decision to make without management support. r  We ended leaving a tip for the waitress... but will not be coming back to this location for the drinks, service, and especially the food.r  r  Pros: nice music.r  Cons: bad service, bad cook staff, bad food... could not be more disappointed.

3.75 stars. One of the few decent dive bars in the area. They have a good selection of live music that plays on friday nights, i've been pretty impressed by the caliber of people they bring in. Never tried the food but the drinks are cheap. I'd stick with the beer as the mixed drinks tend to disappoint. The space gets crowded very quickly when it's busy so i'd get a table early and hang out.

Real cute underground dive bar in Downtown Boston.
Music was good, Drinks were cheap, crowd was mid 20-30s. More of a local's spot which I totally dig.
They usually have live bands playing on Friday, but this night they had cancelled...bummer. Nonetheless, we had a good time and got to meet some interesting people.

I was really disappointed after experiencing Lucky's Lounge. I'm not sure if this place is suppose to be a dive bar or what even though I've experienced great dive bars from Chi to NYC. Although Lucky's had this "dingy" atmosphere and it was super loud (yes I know they play live music but so does Beehive and it is not obnoxiously loud like here), I still brushed it off and tried to be open minded for the food and drinks.

Food -- I am so glad we did not order any appetizers because our main entrees were terrible. We ordered the fish and chips and the Southern chicken. Both were breaded heavily with not enough meat. They were tasteless and had NO flavor.

Drink-- I had their summer drink (forgot the name) but it was a martini with gin & St. Germain's. I specifically asked for Hendricks Gin but when my drink came out, it obvi was some other crappy gin. Trust me, I know my homegirl HG.

Service-- This was the only highlight of the dinner. Waitress was very nice and attentive.

Sad it didn't work out between us Lucky's but that will be the end for us.

Went here once on a Saturday. Very crowded, friendly patrons, loud music, some dancing in part of the bar (not a dance club). A fun place to come with friends and have a few drinks too many.

We came here with a party of 4 and our experience started a little eh. We asked to sit in the room with the band and the hostess asked us to check if there was a table...isn't that your job? Food was great here! I had the Kobe sliders which were hugeeee! Loved the fried quail egg and garlic aioli! There was a live band that was really good! It was very loud and we had to scream at each other.

Came here last Friday. What a fantastic place. No door charge, and it was packed with people of all ages. There was live music from a cover band called 'Yellow' who were awesome. We all agreed that the lead singer looked just like a younger and clean shaven Ben Affleck; that's a good thing! The bar staff were friendly, quick and efficient. Only small criticism is that band were tucked away in the corner behind a pillar, and everyone was crushed into a tiny dance floor. Don't know how they could remedy this as I didn't manage to move very far from there, or explore the rest of the club. Have already planned my return trip from the UK, and I understand that on Sundays they do a whole 'Rat Pack' thing...

Finished up a few early morning meetings at a conference, then walked to Lucky's Lounge for brunch - would highly recommend to anyone! Delicious and creative brunch food, wonderful (and different) cocktails (not just the same old mimosas and bloody mary's), and awesome live music! Fun chairs and a great vibe, the staff even were accommodating to our group's need to add another visitor to our table! Will definitely return.

A year removed from last visit, would Lucky's still retain the coveted 5 star rating?

    Drumroll please.

    BAM! Hells to the YES!

Lucky's is my favorite stop in Boston. I love it here. I could hang out here every night. The vibe is straight out of Mad Men, with Tanqueray martini's and gibson's flowing about the room. This place is sheer greatness.

If you're hungry the food is great. The appetizers are terrific and will make your ASS grow two inches. Check out the baby corn dogs, hummus and the goat cheese deviled eggs. My table of five were yielding some pretty sharp instruments trying to get at these. The crispy pork belly and brussels sprouts are also listed on the appetizer menu, but I highly recommend you order a side with your entree and you will thank me later.

My favorite dish is the meatloaf, but I also tried the burger and it did not disappoint. The fried chicken looks very interesting and might need to give that a go on my next visit. My cocktail of choice is the Lucky's sidecar, for a twist on the old French classic they use Tuaca instead of brandy....Do not be afraid and try it!

The best night to go? Sunday night is "Sinatra Night", I highly suggest you make reservations and the music starts promptly at 8:00.

If you're by yourself or lack friends? Sit at the bar, there is always plenty of seating and the full menu is offered and you can have a nice chat with some of the friendliest bartenders in Beantown.

We found Lucky's on Yelp and decided to try it on a Saturday night.     Fortunately Yelpers had warned us there was no sign so we knew to look for the address!

We were greeted promptly and our friendly server helped me decide between the salmon and the meat loaf.     She talked me into the salmon - the salmon itself was ok but the Israeli cous cous and squash accompaniment did not seem to go with the dish.    My husband got the meat loaf so I got to try it - boy was I sorry I had picked the salmon dish!     A big enough serving for two, the meatload was probably one of the best I have ever had and the blue cheese potatoes were great!

A couple downsides prevent me from giving them 5 stars - our appetizer had just barely arrived when our clam chowders were served.    The chowder was ok but not great and nowhere near hot enough.      A better paced arrival and a little hotter and I would probably up the rating here.

All in all a good meal and we'll defnitely be back the next time we are in town.

I have been here a bunch of time and have never been disappointed. I love Saturday nights because of the band; they are so good and entertaining. The wait staff is so nice and helpful. The sangria is awesome. I also love the spinach artichoke dip. I have had a few meals and they have been really good as well. The only bad thing I can say about Lucky's is that the bathrooms could be a little cleaner/smell better.

I would 100% recommend it here!

I'm giving it only 3 stars because I failed to find a cocktail that I liked despite my persistence.

The firecracker is too sweet. The Pimm's cup tasted like some weird Asian tea and the Double Down was a muddle of flavors without the usual delight.

However, the calamari is delicious! I heard the Kobe sliders are also yummy.

    Why a Five starts???
A review of 5 starts to help people who want to take the risk  for a special celebration and never being here. Note that's this is a review of just a first time experience last January. Took the risk and I am not regret.

Let me explain you my experience:

" I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday with good friends and relatives that never met each other, we ended being 16 people and i was planning the perfect night. The place I wanted to go was reserved to a private party, So I searched online for live music bars that serve food and full bar. I ended finding this place. I checked the reviews and they didn't sound  bad. So, I make some calls to the Lounge and their replies were very nice and clear. "

The night ended being great. Food and drinks were great. Live music was nice. Table for 16 was spacious and able to have family and friends interacting each other. Service was attentive.

Some of us decided to go later to the club. So sad it wasn't a place for dancing. Because after dinner, it could probably would end being a great night in the same place instead of driving to the club. ( Less than 15 minutes driving to club areas). After 10:30- 11 I think they start playing dance music.

Although we enjoyed the great music of that Sinatra Night, we couldn't have a nice panorama of that tiny spot of the performance. Good thing that side was the crowded area far away from our table and/or dinning area. I remember feeling so comfortable at the table, turning around to the bar and see so much people "glue" to each other.

So, If you think to go to this place for first time and want to take the risk for a special celebration I encourage you. Just let you know that it was pretty loud, but I know that day there was some special football game going on.

The atmosphere was great and the food was decent.  The service was friendly albeit forgetful as I had to ask for everything twice before it was remembered, but I would like to wash my hands in warm water.  Seriously, it is winter, I'd even pay more for my food and drink if it meant the hot water taps in the bathroom were turned on and functioning.  When everything else is just okay, something as unpleasant as washing your hands in ice water really stands out as sub par.

    Never again.

Well I was there a few years ago and had a great time, I remember the food and atmosphere was great, so I had no problem suggesting it for drinks and dinner with some friends. Was that ever a mistake. We arrived early on Thursday and the bar was already packed, requested a table for three and the hostess tried to seat us at a bar table in the middle of the crowd. I requested a table in the rear, and they pulled two tables together on a platform, which we found out later was "the stage". This place has really gone downhill, the carpet was stained and ripped, the tables were beat up and sticky.

The only  bright spot was our waitress, who was very friendly, and she told us it was her first night of training. Ordered drinks and appetizers, music became really loud all of a sudden, and appetizers were very mediocre. Entrees arrived cold and we weren't given any silverware after appetizer plates had been cleared. We asked a passing server and a few minutes later silverware arrived. All the entrees were cold and tasteless, but everything I've described to this point is the ok part, what happened next is unbelievable.

Right after entrees were cleared we tried to order another round but a manager came over and told us the band was here and they needed the table. We actually thought she was kidding, but she was dead serious. We tried to order another round but were told that maybe we could stand at the bar and finish our drinks or "maybe" a table would open up. If they were going to need the table later it would have been nice to know that. Well, I guess we were done at this point, I paid the bill ($170+) we were all just done with the place at that point. We left, I did call the next day and spoke with another manager who was very apologetic, then got a call a few days later from another manager who left a very lame apology on my voicemail ( who calls on a Saturday night to do this?!)  and said he was hoping I'd come back.

    Never again pal, never again.

My boyfriend and I dropped in on a saturday night on the earlier side and really enjoyed our time there. We were planning on going to Drink, the bar across the street, but they were kind of rude and the wait was around 45 minutes for 2 people. We only stayed for one drink but the bartender was helpful and I ended up ordering a caipirinha, delicious. I was going to switch the cachaca for vodka, but he let me try a taste and convinced me otherwise and I really liked it! I thought the decorations were fun, but my favorite part was the soundtrack: albert king, etta james, etc!
If I lived a little bit closer I would go here all the time!

It's a pretty popular spot, the kind where even out-of-towners (New Englanders) use it as a go-to when in Boston for drinks/dinner. I had dinner there last week, it was pretty packed on Thursday. We made a reservation less than a few hours before going, and the 5 of us got a booth as soon as we arrived.
Drinks are expensive ($8 for a Captain & Ginger??) - but maybe that's the Providence in me. I just don't feel like Lucky's is the kind of place to charge that much for a basic drink.
The service was very friendly and prompt. We had chicken nachos, which were piled high with the good stuff. I got the meatloaf, which came with blue cheese-whipped potatoes and broccoli rabe. Everything was delicious. The portions were extremely generous; I couldn't finish the 2 huge slabs of meatloaf, and usually I can put down a lot more food than you'd imagine just by looking at me.

All in all, this is a good place to come - whether for sliders and a pint at lunch, dinner with friends, or late night drinks with live music.

I came here on a Saturday night and was expecting something very different than what I experienced after having to stand in line for 10 minutes.  From the outside and the hallway I was expecting something with more character...not a bar that looked like a converted pizza parlor with Formica tables and bad wood paneling with grungy taffeta curtains stapled to false windows.  Granted I got there pretty late and it was obvious this is where people were closing their night down.  Lots of toasted folks but no one out of control.  Drinks were cheap and as I was working on my beer I noticed the music was doing something odd - like the speaker jack was loose.  One minute I could barely hear what was playing and the next I couldn't hear the person right next to me.  I think the DJ was trying to pump the crowd up but no one seemed to be paying any attention.

More than anything this was a confusing experience - maybe I just missed the magic?  The only good thing was the cheap beer but I can get that at home.

This is a lunch/dinner only review. I've never been here to close down the bar.

Kobe sliders were a great start. Cooked to perfection but the bun could've been a little fresher. Then on to the cajun chicken sandwich. Again, prepared very well but the bun seemed less than fresh. The beer list could be a little more creative but this is a place I will continue to visit.

This place must be going downhill.

Im from LA, so I was excited to try this bar in while in Boston based on other reviews. Saturday night, bit of a line, no problem.

Right before being let inside the last member of our party joined us and the bouncers wouldn't let her in. They demanded she go to the end of the line and wait alone. I'm from a land of long lines and tough bouncers, but this was ridiculous. The bouncers were rude about it. Okay, she has to wait outside for now. Geez, must be a hidden paradise inside for them to guard the door like Fort Knox. We go inside.

    No.    No. No. No. No.

It was grungy and low- ceilinged. For a place to be a dive bar it needs to have character. Dinginess does not equal character. It does not look or have the atmosphere of a "speakeasy" at all, more like "hey, let's turn this sub sandwich shop into a bar and put som rat pack photos on the wall while we're at it. But let's not put up signage and keep a line outside even room there are ten empty booths. Y'know. 'Cause we're exclusive."

We hurried to finish our drinks so we could leave. I'm glad it was cheap, because it was a waste of time. Not worth a visit and most certainly not worth a wait.

A few friends were in from out-of-town so we swung by Lucky's to have a drink or two!  It was a blast - a little underground bar/restaurant which was steadily busy the entire time we were in there.  We had this incredible bar tender too!  I can't recall her name, but she is getting married soon so if you happen to stop in, be sure to ask around and wish her the best with her wedding.

The drinks were reasonably priced, and interesting.  I had this drink called the Pink Lemonade - it was incredible!  We didn't happen to try any food, although it certainly did smell very appetizing as we watched it zing by us to the lucky customers at the receiving end. I would definitely go back and try a quick meal when back in the area.

They have no sign out front, which I am sure other reviewers have mentioned, so most of the time, it is the regulars that occupy the establishment at night.  They have bands playing, which I must add was fabulous.  It was a little jazz band who understood the how loud they needed to be.  You could actually hear each other!  It was amazing.

Nice job welcoming out-of-town"ers" Lucky's - nice job!

I come for the ambiance and...

a pint of Guiness and the Kobe Burger make for an amazing dinner in my book.

I felt bad for the bartender because he was also playing the role of hostess and waiter, poor guy, that must blow. Considering the circumstances, he was still quick with the serivce.

I've also heard through word of mouf and other yelp reviews they have a Sinatra night??

Sounds like good shtuff.  Either way this place is worth checking out, if you can find it..heh

In keeping with their speakeasy vibe, there are no signs advertising Lucky's out front. Finding it is like finding a wasps nest. You kind of have to watch and see where all the people are coming from. It's a couple blocks away from the giant milk bottle. Google Maps is your friend.

There are also no stupid frat bar specials like Jager bombs. They specifically chose weird looking shot glasses so nobody could drop them into anything else. Cheers to that.

The specialty drinks they do have are all amazing. If you're looking for a subliminally sweet libation that will fool you into having a rough morning tomorrow try the Pink Lemonade. If you're more into rough around the edges prohibition style cocktails try the Sazerac, a delicious Absinthe and Rye Whisky mix.

There was a jazz band playing and the bartenders were all super nice. One girl even shared some of her "dinner" with my friend after she asked about it.

Went with a large group of friends to Lucky's for Sunday brunch. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The Frank Sinatra singer was spot on (minus his casual wardrobe) and although this typically isn't my cup f tea, he was worth returning for. Very talented!

The food on the other hand was stale and synthetic tasting. It had a "previously frozen" taste to it, lacked any real seasoning, and was really just sub-par bar food.

Bartender Nelson makes this place special. He is there on almost every busy night and has been working at Lucky's for almost a decade. The sweetest Irish guy you'll ever meet, he takes pride in his workplace and takes the pains to decorate the top of the bar every fall. My friend and I were here for after-dinner drinks and watched as he painstakingly decorated, rearranged, and meticulously placed every single ornament that he has collected over the years to make his bar funky and unique. When you come in here and sit by the bar, be sure to let Nelson know you appreciate his handiwork! He's just so adorable!

He makes a great cocktail, is very attentive, and knows when to give his customers space to enjoy their own banter.  Between my friend and I, we had several drinks, all of which came out well. I would come back here, and organize events here just because people like Nelson make restaurants and bars what they are and give them
    that special character.

I can't speak much to the food. I had the Ahi  bites, which were slathered in like a thai sweet chili sauce. A little bit of a cop out for a dish that could have been gourmet otherwise.

Cool place. You get to the building and you think you got the wrong address since it looks like a random office building on the outside, but once you step in Lucky's has a great vibe.

The band playing while you eat is a nice touch, but mixed feelings on it. Loved the music and the vibe, but it was so loud you couldn't understand everything the table had to say. Anyway, for food I started with the deviled eggs which were AWESOME and then had the fish and chips for dinner which was pretty good. The waitress described them as "phenomenal" which I don't think they were, but still good nonetheless and a huge portion.

    Good drink selection too.

Food was good, not great. Service good.

Bottom Line: Worth a trip to South Boston.

I adore Lucky's!!  It comes off as your classic Boston dive bar, but it is so much more.  I always head straight to the back room to see what inevitably awesome band is playing that night.  I've never been for food, but hear it's good food for decent prices.  I have never had just an okay time at Lucky's.  Bartenders are friendly and make good drinks, atmosphere is always a good one and the crowd is not the pretentious State St crowd, everyone seems to gel, dance and have a great time.

On weekends I hear a lot about the brunch, hoping someday I'll make it over there to try it out.

So why I have not written a review about Luckys yet, I don't know..

It really is the BEST bar in Boston (IMO) - but maybe I shouldn't say that ;) haha

Well, maybe it is because I don't want more people to know about it! I have been going for a couple years now, and It gets busier and busier, despite no promotion, and even no sign out front.

So why do I like it? The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the people. Is that too much?

The atmosphere is great. IN the basement, a little bit of a speak easy feel. Dimly lit, comfortable, and enjoyable. It doesn't feel 'sterile', which I hate, just ap lace you like to be (even if it is crowded)

The food, is amazing!. Creative menu, different changes, well prepared. If you are going for a first time, then I suggest getting a bunch of apps.

The Kode Beef sliderS? Although not really kobe beef (they are american kobe, which is fine. most people don't know you can't actually get japanese kobe in this country) , are super juicy and well prepared, and not to small. They come out with the top buns off and the cheese melted to the top bun, not the burger. and they have a friend quail egg on them. the taste just explodes in your mouth!

The other top choice is the fish tacos. You get four, some may think they are small. but again beaming with taste. great homemade sales with home made guar on the side. You bite into them and get a little spice, which is then juiciness and the sweetness of the fruit salsa. literally hits your senses and is absolutely delicious.

(still wondering why I am writing a good review. I should write a poor one, so less people go, so there is more room for me!)

The mac and cheese, kettle chips, and spinach and artichoke dip are all great, and although may seem 'standard' fare, definitely offer a little something different and great taste that will make you remember them

    the drinks!

    Heavy, big, and strong

I remember the first time I ordered one, and it cam in a pint glass instead of a rocks glass. YUM!

And GREAT martinis. Yes, this may be a feature of the bartender not the restaurant (and canI say, the bartenders are always great,g et to you quick, and make the drinks quick)
Grey goose, dirty, three olives.. yes another please!

So the downside of the bar? Well, the other night was 'Ted' night, as in the new Mark Wahlberg movie. Which has Luckys in it. Which means more people will know about it, and more people will go there, and make it harder to get in and busier

so people, stay away! leave it for me! go across the street to Drink! ha

but really, check it out. and go for food around 8-9, not just drinks. Specifically, on Saturday when you can listen to a little Old Blue Eyes

suit up, put a fedora on, and enjoy food, drinks, and Sinatra the way it should be.

    ps.
a couple block walk from South Station, so not hard to get to
but if you are driving, you can park for free
There are lots everywhere, but in the 40-50 times I have been down tot he area (meaning Fort Point/Seaport), I always part for free
It is getting harder, as you can see the area changing and more people coming in and it getting busier and more places, but every time I go down, I ALWAYS find street parking on Boston Wharf road, two blocks down from Luckys along Congress..

Good food, strong drinks, and live jazz make this a hidden gem.

The calamari was creatively done with an Asian influence, the Kobe sliders were perfectly cooked and topped with fried quail egg, the chicken was tender and paired with interesting sides like bamboo rice and asparagus wrapped in prosciutto... All in all a surprisingly delicious experience.

I also recommend the pineapple mojito which was smooth and refreshing. And who can resist the live jazz aspect? Definitely looking forward to checking out Sinatra Sundays!

    Live Sinatra Sundays. Wow.

    Such a dreamy experience.

Sit at the bar. Sip on a drink. Listen to the cover band play some classic Frank Sinatra saloon songs and ballads. Close your eyes and let the music take over. I can guarantee it'll transport you to another time and place. Totally unreal.

    Live Sinatra Sundays. Wow.

And that's all I really got to say.

I recently started working in Fort Point - lucky me! So last night after a rousing round of cocktails with some coworkers at Drink, we moseyed on over to Lucky's lounge to grab a simple beer and some food.

At first glance inside, I was fearful. The odd red lighting and cafeteria booth seating did not bode well for the food. But we were hungry and there was an available high-top.

While I was not impressed with the draft beer selection (only 8 on tap), I most certainly WAS impressed with the food menu. For such a divey looking joint, the menu boasted a-few-of-my-favorite-things. If I had the time or energy, I would somehow twist the fact that they had kobe beef & quail sliders and roast bacon brussels sprouts into the lyrics of a Julie Andrews song.

Very impressed. Only got the Kobe beef sliders, and they were quite tasty. Just what the doctor ordered. I look forward to coming back and expanding my understanding (see what I did there?) of the menu.
