Four bottles of wine. Dessert wine on the house.
Appetizers: Charcuterie board, steak tartare, and heirloom tomatoes
Entrees: TR burger, flat iron steaks, bratwurst, and duck breast.
Sides: Brussel sprouts, polenta, baby beets.
Dessert: Pumpkin ice cream, flourless chocolate cake, other assorted sorbets.
The portions were small, but we definitely got the "WOW" taste factor. These guys really know how to please the palate, with a multitude of complex flavors coaxed out of the ingredients in each dish, from appetizer to dessert.
Our server was fantastic - he kept up with the best banterer at our table, and played into the jokes we made about how he happened to appear whenever we needed him, almost like he answered to our service bell.
Michael, one of the owners, stopped by several times to listen to our resident wine expert talk about the wine list and hear her recommendations. He gladly took our requests of double decanting the second two bottles of wine in the back and was very receptive to our feedback.
Top highlight of the evening? 50 Cent's "It's Your Birthday" blasting as a birthday dessert was brought out to a nearby table. The guys by the kitchen even aimed their hanging lights at the birthday gathering to add to the effect.
