Neon's Unplugged

My friends and I took the Pedal Wagon Tavern Cruise and this was the first stop. It ended up being our favorite! The outside area was very large and there were lots of tables to sit at. They had 2 areas set up for Jenga games with large stones that looked like a lot of fun! We got our beer for $2 (our Pedal Wagon discount) so I'm not sure how expensive it usually is but if I lived in the Cincinnati area I could definitely see myself being a regular there!

It's probably the fact that I'm kind of done with overcrowded bars and music so loud that I can't have a conversation that I give this place four stars.  I like it best in the summer (awesome patio) and on weeknights or before 9 on weekends... basically when it's less crowded.  Beer selection is good; I can't speak for the cocktails as I'm not generally a cocktail drinker.  Definitely a "hipster" scene, which I'm indifferent to, but I know a lot of folks don't care for it.  I've never had a bad experience though!

I am not from Cincinnati, just in for the weekend to see family.  Bar hopped in OTR, multiple people suggested we go to Neons because it was a nice night and they have a great patio.  When we entered the patio, not knowing what to expect, we were blown away with how cool this place was. There are multiple fire pits and we even played giant jenga.  Did not get the opportunity to play bocce ball, but will definitely be back next time I'm in town.  When I walked inside to go to the restroom, I was side tracked by a beautiful lab laying on a couch.   Besides all that, the bartenders were awesome!  The one who helped me most of the night had shorter dark hair and I gave her the oppotunity to pick my beer selection each time I ordered and got a different seletion everytime. She was great.  By the end of the night I ended up meeting a pretty cool group of people and made great new friends.  Easily one of the best times I've had in a long time.  Thank you Neons for showing me a great side of Cincinnati I haven't seen before!
