This is the best sushi I've had so far in the city from dining in to delivery, and I've tried a lot of places. BYOB is always a plus as well. The restaurant also has a great set of staff, that is friendly and attentive.

Excellent! I highly recommend this place. Their service was as incredible as their food. I showed up with an unreasonable amount of people and no reservation at 7 pm on a Saturday night. They did everything in their power to accommodate me resulting in a fantastic evening. Bon appetit!

I had a wonderful time at Nori. If I didn't have a groupon for the meal they would have given a free $15 starter just for checking in! The wait staff was great and the ambience was fitting for the style. Will go back in the future.

the Ninja Maki will always be the best!

it was super cold outside but the Ramen Curry Noodles with chicken definitely warmed me up
you can save the curry sauce, get a box of rice and that can be your delicious lunch for the next day!

1. BYOB (no corkage fee)
2. Half off Nori Sushi Mondays
3. Cute decor
4. Great atmosphere
5. Attentive waitstaff

All of these reasons are why I love Nori Sushi!

I first went to the one on Diversey, and had a great experience there as well. I ended up purchasing a groupon for the Bucktown location, so we headed here last night to try it out.

I was bummed to see that taped to the front door was a sign that said no coupons were being accepted that day. What? Why not? That was the whole reason we went there!

But, upon being seated and notified that it was half off maki Mondays, which was why they were not accepting coupons, I was OK with it.

We ended up skipping appetizers and going for 4 half-priced rolls - Alaskan, King California, Caterpillar, and Banana tempura. All were delicious, though my favorite was the Caterpillar. We ended up eating the Banana roll as our "dessert."

All totaled with tax and tip, we ended up spending $24 on a sushi dinner with BYOB wine. This might even be a better deal than the groupon I bought! In any case, we will definitely be back (on half-priced Mondays!) to take advantage of Nori's great deal on delicious food.

My 3 favorite things about Nori:
1. The sushi is always fresh and delicious.
2. They pretty much always have Groupon offerings going on.
3. It's BYOB.

Basically, Nori is everything you could want out of a Chicago sushi joint. I've been to a couple Nori restaurants, but the Wicker Park location has consistently seemed a little bit better than the others and it's right on Milwaukee for a slightly better atmosphere and younger crowd.

My fiance and I dropped in there last night with a last minute reservation after returning from Mexico and in need of some sushi. They were able to accommodate us easily on a Monday night, but the restaurant was still full enough to let you know that they do great business on any night.

We grabbed a bottle of sake from Mariano's on our way, and they chilled it immediately for us. We started with the Spicy Fire Ball as an appetizer and chose the spicy tuna option. They arrived as giant deep fried dumpling balls, filled with rice and tuna and drenched in a sweet sauce that was similar to eel sauce. We added a bit of siracha to it, for a nice spicy and sweet blend but it was a nice appetizer to start with. A little bit too much rice for my taste, but my fiance thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't forget to enjoy the small ginger salad that comes with it.

We ordered 3 rolls, which was the perfect amount for two very hungry people who typically have eyes bigger than their stomachs: Shrek Roll, Crab Shogun, and the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Maki. Nori had no problem with letting us make a couple substitutions, and we used fresh salmon instead of smoked on the Shrek and fresh whole tuna instead of chopped tuna on the Crunchy Spicy.

The Shrek and Crunchy Spicy were both delicious. Fresh ingredients and a great fish to vegetables/rice ratio. They definitely don't skimp on the sushi. The honey wasabi sauce on the Shrek roll was delicious and something a little bit unique. The Crunchy Spicy was a fairly standard roll but made to perfection.

The Crab Shogun roll was also good, and the torched crab on top gave a very unique fire/smoky flavor. But it was a bit overpowering and drowned out the rest of the ingredients and the ponzu sauce that accompanies the roll. Not a bad roll at all, but the other two were better.

We were in and out in exactly one hour and used our Groupon with no trouble at all. Nori is a place we will return to again and again whenever we get a quick sushi craving.

I have only eaten here two times. The first was at the sushi bar and the second was a delivery. I hail from Las Vegas, which is the all-you-can-eat gourmet sushi capital, so paying over $10 per average-to-small size roll here is physically painful. Anyhow, the first time I went it was ok. Staff was nice and so was the ambiance.

The time I delivered I had been trying to get my boyfriend to eat anything other than a burger. Relenting, we ordered in sushi. I got a simple spicy tuna roll, he got something with soft shell crab, and then we got a dragon roll. We each ordered a soup. This order was close to $40, and the portions were SMALL. In the soup he ordered it came with tempura shrimp which he didn't eat because the shrimp was filthy! Luckily the tempura fell off because we saw that it had not been cleaned and literally was full of shit! We then checked the other which was worse! I think that because they knew it was going to be fried and battered they thought no one would notice that the shrimp was dirty. After that our appetites were shot. It was not a great way of convincing my boyfriend to eat Asian food with me....

Have been there once, only because I had a voucher from http://restaurants.com. I expected more than it really was.... The only good thing about this place is Byob, they don't charge a corkage fee for a first bottle, besides that place looks decent but quality of the fish is horrible! I've been in so many sushi places in Chicago and this one is the worst so far. Fish seems old and it's really not tasty looks pretty but that would be it...

Service is slow and not very polite,(three girls look like they are 15 years old) seems like they make you a favor taking an order from you and bringing the food. Plus it was only 2 of us and they charged us 20% service charge! But service really sucked! Do not go there it's a waste of time and money!e

I waffled between one and two stars. If I hadn't just eaten at the absolutely excellent Fujiyama the day before, the contrast might not have been so horrible. Is this the worst sushi I've ever had? No, but it is close.

I am what you might call, for lack of a better term, sushi-obsessed (my wife says sushi snob). I try and eat sushi everywhere I go.

The decor is somewhat Spartan, but to be expected in a neighborhood sushi spot. I had been to the other location previously and it was decent so I expected the Bucktown location to be better.

The fish was definitely not fresh even though it was a Saturday night. Almost every piece of nigiri my wife and I ate contained a giant wasabi bomb. Even the "fatty salmon" at a premium price, though fatty was lacking in freshness and clearly from farmed salmon as it contained very little flavor.

Its worth noting that the menu is actually quite diverse and there are a lot specialty rolls, but we tried the two that sounded the most promising and the only difference was that the taste of the fish was buried through too much mayo and/or eel sauce.

If you don't care about freshness at all and are not a sushi enthusiast, then I suppose the attractive pricing makes this a decent option, but don't go here if you actually like sushi and are interested in more than california rolls and spicy tuna rolls (the spicy tuna roll that came with the sushi combo was the highlight of the meal).

This place offers OK sushi. I have only ever went here with a Groupon and would not pay full price. That being said if you are looking for a quick bite to eat, its cold out, you have a coupon, and this place is right next door great!

My favorite sushi in Bucktown/Wicker park is Sublime Sushi on Damen near Armitage. I am a huge sushi fan and have brought friends who are big on sushi from out of town to this place we all love it. Go to Sublime!

I give 3 stars because of the Groupon.

Great options for vegetarians!

Great neighborhood sushi spot. Lots of options and they even have a good selection of non-sushi dishes. Plenty to choose from and the 50% off for signature rolls on Monday and at lunch is a great bonus. BYOB doesn't hurt. They do have some rules around their BYOB, so make sure you know what's up.

Relaxed atmosphere and lots of fun at a very reasonably priced local sushi spot. I'll be back many times

Stop in on Sunday before 4pm and all of their regular Nori Maki rolls are 1/2 off! Can't go wrong with that, plus they have other great daily specials. I might give the place 5 stars but I think without the specials it might be a little over priced relative to some local competitors, but if you go at the right times it is TOTALLY worth it!

Parking is a nightmare along Milwaukee Avenue at this location, so plan accordingly. Service was terrific. Try the Carribean roll which has strawberries in it and is covered with a strawberry glaze. Came by at around 9:30PM and were seated immediately. Expect a crowd during rush hour since there is limited seating.

The husband and I went here on a Tuesday night and had excellent service. We had a Groupon, and it was pleasantly accepted! Our sushi was tasty and it was a good value for the amount of food that you get. My favorite was the Caterpillar roll. It definitely falls in the A-OK category, not necessarily worth traversing the city for, but worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood.

I was coaxed into coming here with my sisters after one of them had purchased a Groupon. I love Sushi and had been to Nori previously and had positive experiences there. This time was no different. We went on a Wed night, and the place was pretty empty. We ordered edamame to start which was salted to perfection. We tried several signature rolls including Chicago Crunchy Crazy, Strawberry Sundae, Monster, and Grand Caribbean. Maybe it is me and I just love strawberries, but my two favorite were the Strawberry Sundae and Grand Caribbean. I would of been happy just ordering those two. Some of the best sushi I have ever had!! When I think about Sushi... I don't usually think "dessert". Boy was I wrong!! My sister, having the sweet tooth of the family, ordered this green tea ice cream with banana tempura topped with whipped cream. It was delicious! The service was good, nothing great. I wouldn't come to Nori without some sort of coupon. They have several Groupon deals, and I think just for checking in on Yelp you receive a free signature roll!

Went with a friend for dinner and very thing we got was amazing! All the rolls are delicious. I hate the taste and smell of fish but Nori does a great job of taking the seafoody taste out. I love this place.

Not a huge sushi guy. I like it but if given other options I'd probably go with the latter.
However, this place is REALLY good.

Everything from the ambiance, service and food was great. A friend treated me to lunch here at it was excellent. Great value and a TON of food too:). To satisfy my inner-carnivor, I was ordered a roll that had asparagus on the inside and beef on the outside - YUMMY!! Plus, we had these rice balls that were deep fried with tuna (i think?) on the inside with a sauce similar to BBQ on the side. VERY Tasty. Plus, California rolls too which were very good.

Very good and polite service.

Guys, if your lady likes sushi this is a good place. It's very nice looking on the inside plus it's steps from the Milwaukee/Damen/North Ave intersections with all of its funky stores, restaurants, etc.

I'll be back!!!

Very good quality sushi for the price. I really enjoy their signature and specialty rolls.

One of my favorite times was coming during the weekday when they were filleting and cutting up a whole salmon! now thats fresh! The fish doesn't come in pre-packaged and sealed pouches like some distributors.

I grade sushi places on a scale of three tiers:
Tier 0- Jewel sushi. Self explanatory.
Tier 1- Good quality fish, however generic rolls. Basically nothing to write home about, but you go because its a great deal (Sushi Para, House of Sushi). These places fit the budget.
Tier 2- Better quality sushi, still affordable but can range to pricy for some things. Has enough on the menu to keep you intrigued after several visits. (Nori, Blue Fin, Seadog, Usagi Ya, Kin sushi, Coast, Butterfly, Bob Sans)
Tier 3- Very high quality fish. These places don't need to make insanely complex rolls because the simplicity of their nigiri works. In short, the fish awesome how it is. (Arami, and to a lesser extent, Mirai)

Arami is top-dog in the Wicker park, Bucktown, Ukranian Village area. However, I like going to Nori because they have 50% off mondays and lunch for their signature rolls!

I don't think I would've come here if it wasn't for a Groupon and the fact that they're open late on Saturdays. While the space had a cool vibe and smelled immaculately clean, the sushi just wasn't so hot. Now to be fair - the fish quality of the salmon and hamachi toro was exceptional but the ikura tasted as if it had been soaked in vinegar and the sushi rice was too sweet. The special king salmon maki was good and so was the chicago crunchy crazy maki but the sweetness of the rice was super distracting.
I also had the tuna tartare to start but don't be deceived - it's more of a seared tuna tataki & avocado salad and not minced marinated tuna morsels - regardless it was tasty. With so many sushi joints to choose from in my 'hood I just don't think I'll be back - groupon be damned.

I have definitley had better service, better sushi and been places where they do not charge you for bringing your own liquor. What kind of BYOB is that?

My boyfriend and I had to wait quite some time to get seated, which can be expected downtown. But our sushi took about 40 minutes, even though it was super crowded behind the sushi counter, many guys, not rolling sushi.

My boyfriend and I drink two different types of wine, I am a white wine drinker and he is a red wine drinker. They told us we could only open one bottle. So neither of us drank because we thought it was rude to the other to not be able to drink as well.

Go anywhere else, there are so many great places within blocks, We like Seadog sushi, Sushi X, Butterfly Sushi and Kin.

Food was average sushi, location is nice. Starred up for 50% maki rolls during the day. Starred down for expensive sashimi platter with puny cuts of fish and tons of julienned beets.

I bought a Groupon for Nori after reading the many positive reviews. I went on a Tuesday night around 8:15pm and the place was packed. We were lucky to get the last table in the restaurant. The place is definitely small but it doesn't take away from the ambiance at all. Our server was very pleasant and happy to recommend the popular rolls if we were having any problems choosing from the extensive menu. It's a good thing that we are the kind of girls that know what we like, because we had no problems choosing our appetizer (edamame) and 4 maki rolls.

1. Crunchy Spicy Tuna: chopped tuna, masago mayo, chili sauce, avocado, green onions with tempura crumbs. This roll was exactly what we wanted. Something with a kick but crunchy and delicious.

2. King California Maki: crab meat, avocado, cucumber, masago. We appreciated having this one to take the edge off some of the more spicy rolls we had selected.

3. Dragon Maki: shrimp tempura, masago, topped with fresh water eel, avocado and unagi sauce. This one was really, really good. I will definitely order it next time.

4. From the Nori Signature Maki, we chose the Fire Dragon: Shrimp Tempura and avocado wrapped with tuna, topped with spicy shrimp, scallion and sweet sauce. I can see now, why this is their most popular roll. It was absolutely divine! The shrimp on top of the roll were so delicious, that we were sure to eat every last bite of it that had fallen off the roll and onto the platter. It was much too good to waste!

With so many sushi places near this location, I am happy to see that Nori is really trying to offer customers unique rolls at a very fair price. Also, if you take advantage of visiting their website before dining here, there are specials and coupons galore! I know that I will be taking advantage of their many specials and already looking forward to my next visit there!

I went on a Sunday night and surprisingly it was crowded. We got the last table. There were only 2 girls waitressing for all the tables there. While they were trying to do their best, it took us about 15 minutes before we were brought our menus and about another 25 minutes before they actually took our order.

The sushi was good to slightly above average. The price wasn't too bad ($15 for designer maki and $6-9 for simpler maki rolls).

If I lived in the area, I would definitely go there again. However, I don't think I will make a special trip out there for the place again (unless I get another Groupon).

All I have to say is this:

BYOB
Relatively cheap sushi and good
Groupons & http://Restaurant.com

Make for a fun cheap night out. Will be returning to the LP location this weekend.

Just went here yesterday and what a freash breath of sushi. After going to a few ok sushi places it was nice to go to a place that still has fun with their sushi rolls. Not only do they have their traditional rolls like the rainbow roll & the spicy tuna roll, but they also have some pretty unique roll creations like the strawberry roll & the chicago crazy crunchy. The setting & the ambience of the place is really nice as well. The tables are a little close to each other, but that doesn't take away from the overall experience. The service was really good as well, with the server coming fairly frequently and the sushi rolls were rolling out in a timely manner. Definitely will be coming back here again.

Came here with my BFF because I had a $25 http://Restaurant.com certificate and I really enjoyed the place and the service MINUS those horrendous Spicy Fire Balls.

We order a couple apps..The Gyoza, Edamame and the Fire Balls. They were just too big, too fried and too coated in some very thick sweet sauce. I wasn't a fan and I also think they should be a smaller size.

We also ordered the Sashimi plate which was delicious and the fish tasted very fresh.

Service was fantastic. I never felt rushed and she kept coming back to check on us every so often. The place wasn't super crowded and I didn't feel like I was sitting on top of everybody else.

BYOB with no corking fee is always fantastic in my book.

I would definitely be coming back here to try some of their signature Maki Rolls.

******One small note-When I walked out and walked over to the Blue Line for some Mojitos I noticed that my jacket smelled like fried food and it still smells like that this morning. Minor detail, but kinda annoying. I hate walking around smelling like a walking chuleta******

The world of Groupon brought me to this place, as I was hellbent on eating as much as humanly possible during my stay in lovely Wicker Park.

My brother's apartment is literally touching Wicker Park, so my commute consisted of my own two feet. After swimming through the hipsters on Division, I turned on Milwaukee and met an old friend at this spot. The ambiance was chill, and luckily fairly empty due to our early timing for dinner. We received attentive service and were able to drink our bottle of wine without any additional charge.

The rolls were okay. The signature rolls were where we lived, with the exception of the classic negihama roll, which was tasty despite the high rice-to-fish ratio. The avocado topping on one of the rolls was generously provided, other than that nothing really stood out. However, given the price (which was reduced thanks to the deal) and the BYOB ability, this was a wonderful dining experience. I would probably come back, but only for the 1/2 price rolls option until 5PM.

The first time I visited Nori, I was lured in on a Monday by the 1/2 off Nori Maki special. Hungry, I ventured in. I was solo, so I sat at the bar. After being seated, I waited for at least 10 minutes (maybe 15) for someone to bring me some water, acknowledge my presence...anything! I flagged down the hostess and he got the waitress. The rolls were ok. Not the best, but for 1/2 off, they were ok. The calamari was rubbery and the batter tasted very "greasy." LIke flavorless and floury. Service was horribly slow and inattentive. They seem understaffed.

I left and immediately noticed that I smelled like a human funnel cake. :( Like I'd been working in the kitchen. I chalked it up to having sat at the bar and being directly in front of the kitchen. ***They really need to do something about the open kitchen/frying things out in the open.

Second time going was another Monday. This time I sat at a table and service wasn't too much better.

I left again smelling like a dipped, battered, and deep-fried human funnel cake.
I reeked of grease. UGH.

I like that it's BYOB and the prices are decent. But they really need to separate the kitchen. It's def not a place to go for dinner if you have somewhere to go afterward.

Came here from 5-6:30pm on a Sunday, using a Groupon. The restaurant was not very full, which I prefer, so if you're looking for more alone-time this seems like a great time to go. Boyfriend and I split Edamame (yum) and Steamed Wasabi Pork dumplings which I thought were very tame for something claiming Wasabi. and I'm a baby about spice.

For Dinner we split two Specialty rolls, The Red Nori, and The Milwaukee. The Red Nori was SO good! Lightly coated in tempura crunch and just slightly sweet, which went really well with a little wasabi and soy sauce. The Milwaukee was a fun variety roll and it's rectangle shape made it very easy to split into two bites, even though each piece is quite large. All the fish was very fresh and cold, and the place was clean (bathroom, napkins, cups: check!) Our waitress was nice enough and the Groupon experience went very smoothly. We did BYOB and, as other reviewers note, it was taken care of no problem. Loved this place, will definitely be back!

All 3 locations are different in their own way but all solid! I think this one maybe my favorite of the 3. Its closer to home, newer and has the fire rice balls that the Edgewater location is missing.
We came here for lunch and 1/2 price maki. What a great deal! There's not a ton of people so the service is fantastic. I'm sure when they're busy they add more staff. Again everything is fresh and yummy. Its not fancy Japonais type sushi but great for the price. I will definitely become a regular.

Meh. The selection is ok here. Crowded place. Service is good. I don't know if I have too much to say about this place.

I tried something new... Their calamari with wasabi sauce? It's a weird taste, but it doesn't taste that good. I think I would have preferred more spice in the breading instead of depending on the sauce for flavor.

Only lost a star because we had to wait a while to be served initially.

HOWEVER!

I had an amazing experience. We got there and the place was packed (our server said because it was the first night the groupon was able to be used) we were told that we would have to wait 30 min for a table and ended up waiting less than 10, which was amazing!!!

No corking fee for BYOB -- also amazing ((note if you bring two botttles the second one costs $7 for two people, we only had one so it was all good)

Service was excellent, minus the wait initially.

The food -- now thats what you really want to hear about. IT WAS AMAZINGG!!! It was my first time getting sushi (minus 711 sushi which doesnt really count) but OMG sushi food heaven!! We started with edamame which was cooked to perfection. And had four rolls. A smile avocado roll, the philly roll, spicy crunchy tuna roll, and the strawberry sundae. (the last two were my favorite!!)

I will def be going back to that place!! sooo Happy!!!

I came here yesterday because I had a http://restaurant.com coupon and I was pleasantly surprised by how great their service & sushi was. I have walked past this place on a weekly basis for some years and never thought the food would actually be good.

I am big on good service and of course good food, but our server was AMAZING. Cute, polite, knowledgeable and kept our glasses full of water.

We started off w/ a traditional Edamame which was fresh, hot and GOOD! I ordered the Red Nori, Fire Dragon, and the Sakura Tuna. I was most impressed w/ the Fire Dragon and the Sakura Tuna...both were a bit thick bc of the cream cheese but if you don't mind that texture, you're in for a treat! MMMmmm

One downside to the rolls were that though we (my party of 2) ordered 3 Maki Rolls and Edamame we were still hungry leaving from here. I noticed afterwards that our rolls were not rolled in rice. Maybe this was because of the particular rolls we chose, but I think this is probably the reason we left still hungry. If they were rolled in (real) rice, I'm sure my hunger bug would have been quenched.

This is my only complained but all in all, if I'm ever in the area and want Sushi, I will be returning.

Loved loved LOVED Nori Sushi!

We arrived late Monday night after a 3hr long drive from Urbana-Champaign (roadworks, eeeks!) and was super hungry. Ventured out onto Milwaukee Ave hoping to find some good chow, and stumble across Nori Sushi with its huge 50% OFF SUSHI MONDAY sign!

This place was PACKED! And I mean, packed-to-the-brim-phones-ringing-off-the-hook kind of PACKED. Not bad for a Monday night! As walk-ins I was dreading the wait - surprising we got seated by the sushi bar within 10minutes! The service was simply amazing - attentive servers who ensured our glasses were refilled constantly, all 3 servers checked-in to make sure alllllllllll of our needs were taken care of. and THE SUSHI! 50% off all Nori Makis and we ordered 5rolls between the three of us since it was 9pm. All rolls were beautiful presented on a platter, the crunchy spicy tuna maki was the best I've had in a long time. Light battered crunch flakes on the sushi rolls, crispy texture with juicy fresh tuna. Dragon Maki was glazed with a flame torch - I seriously doubted if the sushi chefs were making creme brulee!!

The restaurant is medium sized - probably seats 30-40people? Dim lighting but zen decor, it can be a bit loud for date nights but looks great for a dinner party spot!

Top notch service, 50% off Monday sushi, friendly servers, couldn't ask for more! Highly recommended for all sushi lovers!

Pretty aiiight. About the same quality as Sushi Para down the street.

Sashimi - Somewhat wrinkly and dried out looking, but tasted good.

Sushi - lots of good combos, they should tweak the sweet potato a bit, its not that great. The Chicago roll is good however.

Miso - Better than average.

Edamame - a bit too mushy the one time I got it.

Philly roll - tasty, but how hard is cream cheese smoked salmon and avocado?

Sweet potato fries - these pushed me from a 2 star review to a 3, damn tasty dipping sauce also.

Ambiance is nice, clean, the music is borderline annoyingly loud.

Service is good and waitress is friendly.

Kinda expensive man. But you know I will be back for my baby & me to have Sushi & Fries which is our favorite after school snack / dinner.

Not even near the level of Seadog, which I think is the best in the hood. Check my review.

Great for a quick bite - very fresh and very tasty preparations.

We staggered into Nori Sushi twice last week, having used up pretty much all of our energy doing the tourist thing at the museums... and found the right sized dishes to hit the spot. On our first visit, the special was a free appetizer with any purchase over $15. we opted for the "Spicy Fireball" with spicy tuna stuffing. Dee-lish! We ordered the Red Nori to share, and with beverages and tip, we got out of there for less than $25. Our second venture there found us even more tired than the first time, but we felt very well served. This time the special was a free soup with the purchase of another soup. We ordered the Spicy Fireball again (yes, it was THAT good!); my wife had a "Creamy Tangy Soup" that was really creamy and loaded with chicken. I opted for the Dubin Soup (fish, chicken, shiitake and shrimp in a clear broth) and it was just right!

The only down side to this place was the music - at least on our first visit - it was a non-stop techno-beat that made conversation difficult, and focus on the menu darn near impossible. Also, it's a BYOB restaurant, which I hadn't anticipated prior to our first visit

Overall, we really enjoyed the food and will gladly go there again the next time we're in Wicker Park.

Sooooo good. Not really sure how good their fish is, but their veggie rolls and especially the banana tempura roll are awesome. The crispy crazy tofu is also amazing, and honestly one of the best tofu dishes we've ever had!

Definitely search for coupons... http://restaurant.com usually has great deals for weekdays. Restaurant itself also offer half price signature makis all day Monday and at lunch everyday before 4pm. It's a great deal when you hit the right promo.

The Crunchy Spicy Tuna and Chicago Crunchy Crazy was good as well.

The restaurant itself was cool with the whole dim setting going on and it was also BYOB!!!
