Do you even Yelp bro? Â Of course I do. Â
I came here on a weekday for dinner. Â It was kind of a last minute selection. Â We walked in say down & the waitress came to our table handed us our menus & explained to us what the two for $25 was. Â The deal seemed really good so we went ahead & ordered it. Â
With the two for $25 we got two 6 oz. steaks, two cups of soup, a Blooming Onion appetizer & some bread. Â There were other combinations that we could have had but we chose this one. Â We had our bead & soup & by the time we started eating the Blooming Onion I was almost full. Â The potato soup was ok nothing special. Â The bread & the Blooming Onion were pretty good. Â Once our steak arrived I was pretty surprised how tastes they were. Â I wasn't expecting a steak like this from a large chain restaurant. Â
We had a waitress named Savannah who was very who was very nice & helpful in explaining the items on the menu & the two for $25 selection. Â
Overall the service was good, the food was good & the amount of food you got for the price was really good. Â I would come here again.
I had a mixed experience last night when I went out to eat with my friends and their three kids. Two toddlers, one baby. The food was delicious...when we got it. Our server was a little bit confused and ended up giving me a check for another table which was 213 dollars when my check was 23...and just this morning as I was checking my bank statement she had actually charged me for my friends 50 dollar check, and them probably for my 23. So I'm really irritated I have to call the restaurant/go through the bank to get it dealt with and I'm not in any way trying to say this server is awful and should be fired, but I'm assuming she's SUPER new, at least I hope, otherwise, she should be fired (HA!)
On a food note, they got the food out for the kids first which is a plus and there were big portions for them. The chicken was plump and juicy and so was my pork tenderloin for that matter. I was super full by the end of the meal before dessert which is why I shared half of it with my favorite 2 year old.
Tried this same location 3 times in the last 6 months and keep thinking it can't happen again. But it does... bad service... subpar food. The latest visit was the worse.. I understand they were busy but it was horrible. Arrived at 530 and told 45 minute wait... no problem. We got seated at 7 so of course we were already upset. Food came out and just didn't taste well and we didn't leave until 9:30... just insane! We had to beg for service practically. It was so bad I don't see the point of typing it all out, stay clear at least of this location! I do have to admit the manager was very apologetic but this being the third time with a bad experience I just don't see myself and the family ever trying again.
Review Source:First time coming here, DEFINITELY won't be the last. Service was great, the side dishes came out VERY quickly, and our steak turned out great. Overall, outstanding job. The No Rules Parmesan Pasta was stellar, recommend it with scallops or shrimp, or both. The Sweet Potato Fries were done very well, and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes were great, little too much garlic, nonetheless great.
Review Source:Not the first time I have been disappointed by Outback. Â Could be a great place but they drop the ball on so many little things. Â I asked three times for 57 Steak Sauce and finally got a little ramekin of ketchup! The 2 rib eyes we ordered medium rare were actually medium well. The 2 burgers were so so - very dry. Â Steaks were just not tender... boring flavor and very average at best. Â Such a shame. Â On the plus side... the Bloomin Onion was great!
Review Source:Food just had an insane amout of salt or salty seasonings that i had a feeling of "puking" just by the app alone.couldnt even finish my blu cheese encrusted steak. It was the ice cream i was looking forward to wash the taste of salty soup ,potatoes, and onions away.
service was ok, some employees did their job of greeting, our server wasnt much for HI's or HELLO's , but did her job.
I've always like Outback Steakhouse, yet all are not created equal due to the ever so important influence of the cooks and wait staff. Â
My experience at this location was very good. Â We happened to go at the tail end of rush hour, so there was a small wait and the place was still crowded. Â Once seated, our waitress was super friend, quick to get our drinks and checked back often to see if we were ready to order. Â While deciding on what to order, the bread is a great pleaser. Â
Once our order came out it was bam... bam... bam... two people came and so everyone was served at the same time and they didn't miss a thing. Â As for my steak, it was cooked to order, and the potato was satisfying as well. Â Granted, this is a chain restaurant, so nothing overly fancy or special, and perhaps the price is a bit high, but nevertheless, it was a good experience and we were content and happy as we walked out the door.
I don't really mind any of the steakhouse chains.  If the meat is decent to start with and  they don't drastically over/undercook it, steak tastes good to me, and unlike some of my friends, I'd rather someone else were doing the grilling.  For one thing, it is awkward sending back a steak one has cooked oneself, and it is somehow considered wrong to make sure that one's guests get to eat the mistakes.  I therefore enjoyed my visit to this Outback, and would eat there again if it were super-convenient and I felt like steak.
Review Source:For the type of food you get here, it was great. Hostess sat us immediately. Waitress Nichole was attentive if not slightly obsessive. Food was cooked quickly, and as requested. Meat was cooked to order. I eat steak as rare as I can get it, and they  produced. The manager even came over to make sure my steak was properly cooked. I would go again.
Review Source:This review would have been 4 stars until our Grilled Mahi arrived completely raw.
My wife cut it down the middle to split with me. Â Our waitress took it away and the returned with our original mahi...cut in half but now cooked. Â I assumed they would have just given us a newly cooked piece of fish. Â What grossed me out was that it was on a bed of rice when it was raw and on on the same bed of rice when it returned.
I voiced my opinion to the waitress and the manager came over. He told me that this is the policy they follow all of the time. I told him I was a little grossed out that our rice was with raw fish. Â He told me it was fresh rice. Â The sad part I could still see the meat juice from the steak filet on the rice. So even though I questioned it, I was told that it was okay. What would chef Ramsey do? Â He would have slammed that fish on the counter and made the chef re-cook it properly. Â I know this is not a fine dinning restaurant but a little courtesy and respect on getting me a new mahi with rice would have been nice.
The filet was cooked medium rare and was tasty. Â Salad was good...but it's salad. My little one loved her Mac N Cheese. Â
The waitress Nicole was nice but she was also new. She informed me about that right in the beginning of our ordering experience. Â I do not like hearing that because it gives me no confidence in my dinner order. Â For example, like getting raw fish and not getting a fresh new piece.
Raw Mahi is totally unacceptable. Â I've never had a raw piece of fish served to me unless it was sushi or grilled ahi. Â I was not happy...I voiced it and the manager kind of shut me down. He seemed nice but I was not happy with Outback's Policy. Â I should have just asked for them to remove the fish from the bill.
I've been to this Outback about 30 times in 4 years. Â I would go more often but I live in Chicago with no car. Â I visit a family member in the area and every time I come out we go. Â I love the consistency I get when I go. Â It's always fantastic and served with a pleasant demeanor. Â I couldn't ask for a better chain restaurant experience. Â Outback really gets it. Â I can walk into any Outback in the country and get a similar experience (and I generally do).
Review Source:Didn't expect much so I was pleasantly surprised to get a pretty decent meal. Â I ordered the Filet and Lobster and Shrimp on the Barbie and both were really quite good!
The Filet was small but perfectly cooked and extremely tender and well seasoned. Â The so-called "lobster" Â was VERY small and looked more like a big prawn, but it tasted really good. Â I wished that I had more. Â The Shrimp were very tasty though a little over-salted.
I'll probably be back someday.
I've passed this one up for years because, well.....it's just Outback. But on Mother's Day we decided to dine here because all of the other places had SUPER long waits. Well, I'd like to say thank you to all of those places because the food and service here were awesome. I've even been back since. My steak was actually cooked the way I requested. The soup and green beans were delish as well. I'll be back!!
Review Source:Bleh! Â I've been to many Outbacks and never had this hard of a time getting a steak. Â The request was for a steak done on the open flame cooked medium. Â What I got was well done and broiled. Â So I sent it back and got medium well and broiled. Â Admitting defeat I just ate half of that one, about as much as I could stomach because it just wasn't that good. Â Sorry usually Outbacks are fairly consistent, but this one rubbed me the wrong way.
Review Source:As far as Outbacks go, this is a good one. Â The food is really tasty and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Â Luckily enough, too, it wasn't crowded as the ones closer to Chicago usually are. Â The service, however, did lack a bit. Â Our server forgot to bring drinks, during the meal, and extra napkins (which, seeing as there were three kids at the table, we shouldn't have had to ask for).
The food though, which is why you'd go, was great. Â Steaks were done to order and tasty cuts.
I have been avoiding reviewing national chains for the most part because , who hasn't been to most if not all of them by now? My kid inquired whether I would review it because it's one of his favorites  ,so I agreed to. If you have a kid of steak eating age , this is one of the best / nicest places I found I can go for a consistently good time and great food. By no stretch of the imagination is this place a 5 star steakhouse per se , but as far as chain restaurants , I found it to be the best. I've been operating under the premise that every type of restaurant has to be judged against it's peers , and not against each other. Gigios pizza is a 5 star place in my book , so is Lawry's Prime Rib, because each is the best I've been to in their prospective areas of expertise. I give Outback this mark because it is the best of a really mediocre bunch. My family isn't as adventurous as I in their eating habits , so this is a place we can all go and be sure to eat well , and love everything we get.
I have tried practically everything on the menu by now with few exceptions, and I have liked or loved everything . The few exceptions are; the crab dip.It is a newer item , and it wasn't so bad , but I got really sick after eating it. I will avoid it like the plague. The ribs were good but I was not a fan of the bbq sauce they use , it is really weak. That's about all my gripes.
Some favorites are ;the prime rib (favorite 1a),Rack of lamb/ lamb chops(favorite1b), outback style prime rib(grilled), grilled shrimp, honey mustard chicken sandwich(wow, really yummy), cheeseburger(great), the ribeye, salmon ,their fish of the day (swordfish, mahi mahi), coconut shrimp , and the seared ahi tuna. I can say that every one of these were excellent every time I ordered them. Do not compare this to any gourmet place , see it for what it is , and enjoy.
