Outback Steakhouse

I am basing this off the food mostly, because the service sucked. Waited FIFTEEN MINUTES for our drinks. And I noticed this waitress was the same with everyone...she'd vanish for 20-25 minutes at a time. Refills? Nope, check, nope. Tip, super minimal. And the portions? OMG, the portions aren't worth close to what you are paying for. Not impressed, no wonder this place is never busy anymore!

I am being generous with giving this place 3 stars. The service was fine which raises my rating one star.

We haven't been to this Outback in many years and I doubt we will ever go back. We had a $5 off coupon so we gave it a try. We both had the fillet and shrimp with a baked potato. Potato and shrimp (shrimp were pretty small) tasted fine but the fillet was NOT a fillet. I don't know what it was. Kind of tasted funny too.

Outback is obviously feeling the pinch of the bad economy because they are not serving the same quality food they used to. They are cutting corners. I think others feel the same way because the place was not very crowded. Years ago you had to wait at least 30 minutes for a table.

I haven't been here for maybe 10+ years and now we know why! I got the fillet and shrimp combo platter. The loaded baked potato was yummy as was the shrimp but the steak (fillet) was extremely fatty!! This little 6 oz fillet which in my experience should not have one grain of fat was like 50% grizzle!? My Mom complained and we got a new one, no problem, no charge for my entree. So you would think the second one would be perfect- same exact thing!! Thanks it was nice you gave me a new entree but the 2 tiny portions didn't equal one good steak! The taste was very good but really I never knew a fillet had any fat and that's why I ordered it! I'm not a newbie to steaks- this was bad! I won't be returning!
