For being a Gastro Pub this place is Amazing!
I happen to be sitting where I could see the kitchen and was very impressed with how quickly and professionally the chefs were working.

I asked if the seafood was fresh or frozen and the waiter guaranteed me it was fresh. He also said they have a very strict chef who will only use fresh non-frozen seafood. I was still a little leery as it is just a pub so we didn't expect too much. We were both blown away by how amazing the seared scallops I ordered were!!! They were the Best scallops I have ever eaten! I'm a total scallop tart as I love love love scallops and I still can't get over how great they were. This is a pub right? Too loud music and a million TV's but the food is 5 star for a pub and better than some 5 star professional restaurants I've visited.
I also ordered the truffle fries which are like crack they are so addicting. My friend ordered the chicken breast that was probably the juiciest chicken I've ever had and how they get it so I will never guess.

Again, this is a pub and not a elegant restaurant but the food is as good if not better than many elegant places I've eaten.
On top of the amazing food they have a list of 50 to 100 kinds of beer. I am not a beer person but they had a few sweeter beers that I did enjoy.
I don't believe the negative review about this place now and am very glad I ignored them.

We went to dinner here last Friday night with our kids.  I was pleased to find that they have my favorite beer on tap, Bell's Two Hearted Ale.  We had the salmon special (very good) Poutine, a burger, the Gnocchi and the Fried Shrimp.  Even better then the food was the service.  Colleen was excellent.  Attentive, helpful knowledgable and very nice.  She really made a good experience, a great one.    
I have been in or associated with the restaurant business all my life so I know how difficult it is to run a good restaurant or bar business.  So much of it comes down to the people you hire.  My compliments on a great hire.  
We will definitely be back.  Nice addition to Wheaton's limited bar scene.

Great new option in Wheaton. We went for dinner and I had a soup and appetizer (the italian beef egg roll). My wife had a steak sandwich and son had a burger. The food was uniformly delicious. The house salad was terrific. Dark greens, fresh tomatoes, and an excellent dressing. (It was pre-dressed, but with a light vinaigrette. Great stuff.) The service was excellent. Very attentive. They bring a bottle of water for the table, but nevertheless our guy checked in on us plenty, was very quick, friendly. The ONLY drawback, from my perspective, was the noise. It's a loud place with a LOT of televisions. There's really no way to get a table where you won't see the televisions. But if you're looking for a fun, young, loud place with really above average food for this sort of place, you'll like Warren's Ale House.
