Far and away, this is the best pizza in town.
The spice topper is exceptional. The amount of caramelization on the cheese is perfect. According to my husband, the sausage is out of this world and worth every dime.
The quality is consistently great.
If you haven't already, do yourself. a favor and try it.
Ramundo's pizza was pretty good, but I didn't necessarily love it.  I liked that the sauce wasn't sweet, but instead had  a little spiciness to it.  The crust was nice and crispy.  Service was quick, and definitely a fine place to pick up a quick pizza.  I think my expectations may have been to high, because even though it was good, it was not the best pizza I have ever had

Quite possibly the best pizza I've ever had. We have ordered from here several times at work. Ive had the traditional crust, new york style crust and hoagies. The traditional crust is my favorite and the hoagie bread is off the charts delicious. Never been in the restaurant so I can't judge that, but it's the best pizza in town. I love Dewey's, Noce's and Mio's but this blew them away.

So the Uncle Frank's Special pizza and cheese fries were awesome. It was the perfect indulgent dinner for a night at home watching TV. And delivered right to my door, no less.
Officially my favorite pizza in Cincinnati (sorry Dewey's). Â What's more, they deliver, which, with 2.75 kids, makes a big difference to me.
What sets Ramundo's apart: Â
1. Their sauce. Â It has a little heat and none of that sickening sweetness you get at other places.
2. Â Their crust. Â It's got that paradoxical crispy-chewy-doughy-toothy thing about it that any good pizza needs.
3. Â Their extras. Â Sandwiches, loaded fries, calzones, salads...all superfluous...all delicious.
4. Â (Pay attention, now, because this one's important.) Â Their sausage. Â It's really as good as they say it is. Â Get it on your pizza. Â Order it in a sub. Â Order it in a calzone. Â The important thing is to ORDER IT! Â Spicy, savory, meaty, juicy...Excuse me. Â So hungry...I have an order to place.
Raymundo's is a legit pizza spot that has aspirations of being more than your neighborhood pizza joint. Â They run gamut from tried-and-true pepperoni, cheese, etc as well as some more tasty veggie combos and their signature sausage, which puts them a notch below Dewey's
They will sell you pizza dough if you're in the mood to make pizza at home.
Plus, they deliver until about 2am, which can come in handy on occasion.
Ramundo's definitely is a place that has definitely gotten better the more I've eaten it. Not that it used to be bad but it's one of the few pizza places that I might actually crave at times. The best part about Ramundo's is by far it's temperature. Most pizza places you get pizza from the pizza is warm, which leads to the cheese being not melted or scalding. Ramundo's, though, always produces pizza that has scalding oil on it. While this is probably a function of it being made right when you order is a big factor but I'll give it big brownie points anyways.
As a result the pizza might take a little longer and they have limited delivery so you'll have to pick it up at their location. They also don't have much space to sit as well so it'll be pick up and take home most of the time. I generally get half Bianco and half Uncle Franks and it's generally a good meal.
I moved to Mt. Lookout temporarily this summer and was excited to try some local pizza places. After reading the other Yelpers say great things, Ramundo's was my first attempt at Cincy pizza, but I was unimpressed.
Ramundo's, unfortunately, doesn't stand out as a personal favorite.
The pepperoni and green pepper pizza was reasonably priced and arrived hot. But eating it, I didn't have any wow moments. The cheese and sauce were ok but not spectacular, the crust good but not great.
I went back for lunch a few days later to try their sandwiches and my Italian sub came out completely drenched in Italian dressing. Like, waterfalls spraying onto my clothes with each bite.
Again, the flavor wasn't bad, but the overpowering quantity of tangy Italian dressing keeps Ramun-dos out of my recommend-o range.
I need to get something off of my chest: Â Cincinnati pizza sucks. Â LaRosa's tastes like ketchup, Dewey's crust is bland and doughy, Adriatico's is okay if you're drunk (but you'll regret it later), and Pomodori's is just incredibly boring. Â Via Vite is okay (yet not amazing), but it's a different type of pizza.
I'm from Connecticut and am very spoiled for pizza; I live 15 minutes from Pepe's, Sallys, and 1.5 hours from NYC pizza. Â Even small towns are littered with excellent pizza joints. Â Shockingly, Ramundo's tastes like something you'd actually have in the northeast and not be embarrassed about it.
It's a hole in the wall with only a couple lunch tables, but it's run by great guys. Â They've stayed open late for me before when I got stuck in traffic, and are open ridiculously late (4am) on certain days. Â Their sauce is simply the best in Cincinnati - well seasoned with a slightly spicy kick to it. Â They use real cheese, and real Italian roma tomatoes in their homemade sauce. Â The crust is very good (not mind blowing good) but for not having a brick oven, it's quite good.
In short, if you're looking for pizza in Cincinnati, don't even bother with anywhere else.
Last Friday my wife and I ordered pizza from Ramundo's Pizzeria for us and her youngest brother who was staying with us for the night. She placed the order and decided to get two 18 traditional crust pizzas, one with pepperoni and mushroom and the other plain with cheese. We  had the pizzas delivered and they arrived in timely fashion from the tiny pizzeria that is just down the road from our house.
Both pizzas looked great upon delivery and arrived hot from the oven. I started with the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and was immediately hit with a bit of spiciness in the sauce, which I am a fan of. The sauce wasn't sweet at all like some of the other pizza places around town. The toppings were pretty good and in fairly generous amounts. I also sampled the plain cheese which was good, though in this case I preferred some toppings. The cheese used on the pizzas was good, but the crust was a little plain. I'm told that they also serve New York style pizza, so next time I will have to give that a try. Overall this is a solid pizza that I'm sure we will order often in the future.
I was really excited to try this - I had seen it advertised in one of those coupon books (Reach or whatever) once or twice, and in a night of hunger, I started reading the menu and became immediately interested in their Ramundo bites (peperroni and cheese rolled in pizza dough. There were pictures in the magazine. They looked oh so good.)
The location is small - it's easy to drive past. My husband and I ordered carry out. We got the Ramundo bites and a pizza with black olives. We drove right past it , despite it being across from our vet's office, it's just so little. I guess they do a lot of "by the slice" and we were the only ones carrying out the pizza. It really is a tiny little place. but, if doing take out, I suggest doing what we did : I got gas and pop at the UDF, my husband walked two doors down and got the pizza.
The Ramundo's bites were the best thing - a bit doughy though for my taste but a cute idea and I can appreciate that. Sadly, I wasn't a bit fan of the pizza! The crust was too doughy and thick (a bit undercooked I thought) and the rest wasn't anything special - just kind of pizza. Nothing to rave about on my side.
I will say the new york slices looked a lot better than what we got..... I'd go back for that, but I always forget about this place. Especially with Lucy Blue right there with it.
Had a giant NY Style slice of pepperoni and was pleasantly pleased. Â Been craving and looking for a good, thin, foldable piece of pizza since moving here and happy to say I found one!
Looking forward to getting a pie delivered...they have prosciutto as a topping! Â Now, if only they offered arugula...
Ramundo's is the perfect end to a night of drinking in Mt Lookout. They are open past bar closing time and perfectly located to walk by order a couple of slices and eat before you go home.
I have only had the pizza by the slice. Â Let me tell you it was so good. The employees were friendly and fast. The place is small there are only a couple of tables for dinning in. Of course I didn't go there for a unique dinning experience I went to get some food and go, so it was perfect.
Good pizza. However, having lived in Chicago for a while, I find it hard to give anything other than deep dish pizza five stars. Like Lucy Blue, this is definitely a take-out establishment. I walked in to pick up my pizza and it was SOOOOO hot in there. I felt bad for the people working there. I mean, get a fan or something!
We had a coupon for $9.99 pizza and garlic bread. I am probably going to make some people mad, but I thought the garlic bread was gross. It was so greasy it made my stomach upset. On the whole though, the pizza was good.
Located half a block away from most of the foot traffic at Mount Lookout Square, Ramundo's is geared to attract the patrons of the nearby bar scene.
After a couple of drinks, the temperature of the pizza and the speed at which it is delivered to you become all the more important. Ramundo's succeeds in these aspects by using  pre-formed crust, and building your pizza immediately after you order it. So you literally get your pizza the minute it gets out of the oven. Prices are very reasonable too.
Great place for late night munchies.
After an exhaustive search for the best New York-style pizza in the Queen City, I've finally settled on a winner: Ramundo's of Mount Lookout Square.
There's a time for Chicago deep-dish and for boutique thin-crust pizaas, but if you want a slice to taste like you bought it in Manhattan, then Ramundo's is the place for you. The right style sauce and herbed seasoning help put Ramundo's at the top of my list.
This is a take-out place only, so don't go looking for a venue to enjoy your meal, you'll have to provide your own!
LOVE Ramundo's! My boyfriend is from Louisville and when he moved up here complained that he couldnt find a pizza he liked. I suggested Ramundo's, my favorite place. Instant Love! Ramundo's is the only place we are allowed to get our pizza from anymore! Service is quick, the food is always consistent and great, our order is always right and hot(which is important) and the price is reasonable. Oh, and if you've never had the Ramundo bites you gotta try em!

The first star was given because they don't look at you funny when you ask for a whole pie. Ordering a pizza for me is second nature, and it is nice to not have to translate my order in to Cincinnatian just to be understood. When I call Ramundo's I don't have to think, I can just tell them I want to pick up a medium meatball pie and they know what I am talking about.
The second star was given because they do a superb meatball pizza. There are few places in Cincinnati that understand what a meatball pizza is (most places just tell you they don't have it, or they put ground beef on the pie). At Ramundo's, they make the meatballs, cook them, then slice them and put them on the pizza. It is like taking a bite of a memory.... a meaty, succulent memory.
The third star was given for their lunch slices. I love being able to pop in and just grab a slice (and yes, Lucy blue right around the corner does the same thing, but whatever).
The fourth star was for the fact that Ramundo has most of Mt. Lookout under his thumb. With the pizzeria on one end and the toggery on the other, you can't help but want to love them.
All in all, Ramundo's is a decent pizza choice by Cinci standards. Â It's three minutes from us, so it's not infrequently our choice on those occasions we decide to order in. Â
Seemingly one of the few pizza places in town that flavors its tomato sauce with something other than sugar and salt, Ramundo's brings in black pepper, garlic, and oregano like lost children from the wilderness. Â Their use in the sauce is nicely balanced and gives the pizza a spicy kick. Â (Yeah, these are obligatory ingredients in most pizza sauces across the planet, but in Cincinnati, using them liberally is a small act of bravery.) Â And as Liz A. says in her review, Ramundo's seems to use better cheese than most Cinci pizza joints.
The crust, unfortunately, is pretty typical of Cinci pies: Â It's usually underbaked, doughy, and short on flavor and texture. Â
Ramundo's is essentially a take-out joint and does not deliver. Â There are only a couple of tiny tables with barstools, with seating for a few more on the sidewalk in warmer-weather months. Â The tables are usually occupied by kids from the neighborhood who are probably enticed by the fact that Ramundo's offers pizza by the slice.
Seriously I am fat kid. And fat kids know what makes a good pizza. And when it comes to Cincinnati, there are many good pizza places but few great pizza places. Ramundo's falls into the latter. This has become my favorite pizza place in Cincinnati. I just wish they were open till 4am every night. Actually, I don't wish that because then I would be more rotund.

for january, LF and i decided to head out to ramundo's in mount lookout after we heard a rave review from our pal graham over at what i ate this week. the funny thing is that graham actually went there on my recommendation for good new york style pizza... and i had never been to ramundo's. but the ecstatic ravings of a few native new jerseyans (new jerseyites?) convinced me that there was most likely good pizza to be had there.
since graham had gone there on my recommendation, i felt it was my civic duty to actually try the pie myself. LF and i went for lunch one day and met her husband there. LF and i got the thin, new york style, and the husband got the thicker regular crust. we tried pepperoni, supreme, and cheese.
i liked the pizza, but i did not think it was amazing. i think the best pizza of the bunch was the pepperoni. normally i am a huge plain cheese fan, but the pizza was just a little too bland for it to be really great at ramundo's. i really liked the cheese (gooey, lots of it) and the sauce (slightly spicy and flavorful but not sweet) but i was not a big fan of the crust. it just lacked flavor.
i also felt that the new york style slices were too thin. you could not hold them flat, you had to fold them. my ideal new york style pizza can be folded, but it is not a requirement. i actually preferred the non new york style slice... it was the same crust but just thicker and smaller (and easier to eat).
the ambience: there is none. there are a couple little tables and a counter, that's it. i think ramundo's business is mainly carry out. but the staff was super nice and let us stand at the counter and eat even though we were in the way since both of the tables were taken.
prices were great. i got two slices and a large fountain soda for $5.99 (including tax). my wallet was happy.
the official cincinnati pizza quest ratings (on a scale of 1 to 5 slices, 5 slices being the best):
crust - 2 slices
sauce - 3.5 slices
cheese - 4.5 slices
topping - 3.5 slices
overall - 3 slices
i recommend ramundo's as a cheap place to grab a slice or two for lunch or a late night snack. the pizza is good without being great, but it doesn't try to be anything it's not, which i think counts for something.
