I had recently been to another Tin Roof in Indianapolis and decided to check out this one on cinco de mayo and let me tell you I was not disappointed! The local band was awesome! The place was hopping!!!!  People writing on walls left and right ( yes it is legal to write on walls here!)  Coronas and Dos Equis being sipped everywhere after all it was 3.00!!!   Needless to say I highly recommend this place to everyone even if you just want to grab a bite or if you just want to hear some to tunes this is the place to be!

I have been here twice, each night had VERY different crowds.

The first time we went on a rather dead Friday night. The crowd was very diverse in both age and culture. It was a blast.

We scheduled a bachelorette party here the next time I went. It turns out that there was also a Reds Game that night as well as some type of Rave concert. SOOOO, it was super packed in Tin Roof and a little uncomfortable. The crowd was still mixed but it was mostly over-run by much younger college kids. The live music is always fun, but I hate going to a place where I have to wait for 20+ minutes to go to the bathroom.

I will say that the manager was super friendly.

Nope. I was hoping my experience was giong to be something other than 2 stars but it's not. Drinks / beer have boring and uninteresting choices, food is boring and everything over priced.

Mainstream 20 somethings afraid to go downtown or OTR and just wanting the suburban experience after a Red's game; this is the place for yoy.

If you came to Tin Roof for their food, you only have yourself to blame for the subsequent poor review. It's not a restaurant. Well, technically it is, but this place thrives on location and drink prices. By those criteria, this is an easy 4 star for me. It reminded me of many of my favorite beach bum bars from Florida. It serves as a fairly decent sports bar as well, with large screen plasma TV's hanging in every direction. I was up there yesterday with a group of ten to watch OSU crumble against Wichita St. A few people from our table even ordered food. The sandwiches were large and crusty with a side of fries. Are they gourmet? Of course not. They're not intended to be. But are they big enough to share and hearty enough to prepare your stomach for another three hours of drinking? Absolutely! I would choose this place over the Holy Grail every day of the week. Does YardHouse serve better food? I would hope so, but they're also charging $7 for a pint. It's not an apples to apples comparison. Tin Roof does what it intends to do and does it well.

To be fair, I knew I wasn't going to be 'wow'd' by this place as far as food goes.  I knew it would be bar food, kinda of a tiki/summer beach bar and just wanted to try it for lunch.  But even with that in mind, I will probably never go back.

They said they were known for their quesadillas, so I decided to try it, and the boyfriend had the Italian Sandwich.  The quesadilla was literally, some corn, avocado, cheese and chicken. no spices add, special flavoring or anything - just literally those ingredients.  The Italian sandwich was normal, we didn't hate it but nothing to rave about. The only amazing thing we had was the 32oz plastic cup they bring your fountain pop in. Didn't need a refill the whole time!

What I was most diasapointed in, was the bathroom doors were open.  I didn't like people from the bar being able to see me wash my hands, fix my hair etc.  I guess their 'thing' is for people to write on the wall, but I'm a little to old to read about who wants it in the a**.

If you are ok with really mediocre bar food, and no craft beer... this might be the place for you.

I've only been in here for 'Monday Rundays', the free running group sponsored by Fleet Feet that has partnered with Tin Roof since their opening last fall. The promise of post-run $5 pizzadilla specials (more flavorful than the quesadillas, plus they come with a side salad instead of chips) is enough to motivate me for a good 4-5 mile run to start the week. In my opinion it's one of the best daily deals in town, as it really is a lot of food and tasty. The Hawaiian and Greek ones are my favorites.

Tin Roof frequently runs other food specials as well, such as $10 all-you-can-eat wings, the aforementioned quesa/pizzadilla $5 daily or lunch specials (follow their twitter account to get notified), and lots of daily drink deals tied to events like game days, etc.

Staff and owner are friendly. Currently it's my favorite bar at the Banks to go to.

    REVIEW FOR NACHOS ONLY!

We were at the Roof of Tin last night, and basically it still is what it.  However, since there were five of us we decided to go all in and go for a large thing of nachos.  A large will set you back 19.99, and for good cause.  What came out looked like a Thanksgiving Feast.  And this mound of Tex-Mex was not some goopy sad looking pile, rather it was bright, colorful and looked magnificent.  And the taste, oh my the taste.  The right amount of sour cream, queso, meat, veggies, and the like.  The right consistency and with each eat bite it was cornucopia of flavors.  The best nachos I have had in a long, long, long time.  So good it will make you see stars, renew your faith in humanity, and want to order another batch.

Myself included in a group of 5 walk into this establishment and were not greeted in any way. Eventually we sat ourselves at a table and waited as a waitress walked past our table several times without even aknowledging us. Eventually afte10 min of waiting two of us went up to the bar to get some drinks while the rest of us got our own menus. After 5 minutes of waiting at an empty bar we were finally waited on. Then after another 5 minutes we had to grab a ransoms waitress and asked to be waited on. Thankfully our food didn't take as long as it did to get any serves and it was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend the fries they are the same crinkle cut fries you get at your local super market in the freezer section.

Some of the food could be better, but this place has the atmosphere and location to make up for it.  This is my favorite place in the banks to go for lunch.  I would eat here before heading to a ball game (or hockey game for that matter) as well.

I was only here because it was a stop on a pub crawl but I will have to stop by here again.  It had some good drink specials and life music.  It was a bit packed but that was due to all the people in the event.  It is right next the Reds ballpark so I could us going there before a game to eat.  I will have to update my review once I try their food.  But I do see myself stopping back in.

I have to admit that my experience at Tin Roof may be a little different than most, because when I was there I was among a couple hundred people dressed as Santa Claus.  Even so, I really liked the space.  Loads of room with tables and counters all around to set plates and drinks down.  The nachos were huge and I sampled a couple of different ones - definitely worth it!  An acoustic guitarist was jamming out on some tunes, and I can promise you he won't be winning any grammys but the crowd loved his playlist.

There was no Cat on this Tin Roof and neither Elizabeth Taylor or Paul Newman were there. The Tin Roof is a causual place to grab a drink and dance to live music. Definitely, not a destination place, but a place to make a stop in (though the night I was there they charged a $5 cover) until you head to the next place. Or a place to stop by after or before a game.

Loved it!  Will (GM) and our bartender were professional and attentive considering we got there right at 11am this past Saturday. We will no doubt become regulars!  I love going to the Nashville location so very excited to have my "own!"

Nice staff and prompt service. The place can get quite loud even on a weeknight so it might be hard for conversation in larger groups. The quesidillas (special price on Monday) aren't that flavorful unfortunately but maybe the pizzadillas will be a suitable replacement. I've also had the chicken fingers and they are pretty good. There are a few dipping sauces: ranch, honey mustard, bbq, etc. The chicken fingers came with large celery and carrot sticks, so I felt like I was doing something healthy. There is random graffiti written on the walls (particularly in and around the bathroom area) and some of it is hilarious.

I guess the biggest problem people will have with the place is parking... I can't offer up much help in that area, but if you're willing to walk a few blocks, free parking is available. During the warmer months, the garage door walls are opened and its a great place to spend a summer night.

Again, I need to preface this review by pointing out that I hate country music. However, Tin Roof focuses on non-popular country music, and didn't force me to hear Toby Keith Urban, so I am not deducting any stars for me simply being outside their wheelhouse.

But Tin Roof advertises itself by saying "At the Tin Roof, we pride ourselves in being a bar that doesn't serve 'bar food.'"
Sorry, it's bar food. It's sandwiches, quesadillas and a variety of deep-fried appetizers. This is the very definition of bar food.

Not particularly good bar food at that. I had a boring turkey and avocado sandwich (not sure how avocado is ever boring) with some pretty mediocre fries. My friend had the Sunny quesadilla and said it was ok, but certainly not Turophilia. The bourbon selection, as expected, was solid.

All in all, if you're the type of person that wants country music and country music people you can certainly do worse (by, say, going to the other side of the block.) If you're looking for lunch there are better options. But, again, you can do worse.
