I went her on a "Thirsty Thursdays" night and found the place to be ok. The music was pretty good, switching between house, Top 40, and hip-hop. My first drink, a White Russian was really strong however. It's ok if you  recently turned 21 or area recent grad living in Allston. I might go here if I'm in the area on a Friday night, but wasn't too impressed by it.
Review Source:Possibly the most disrespectful staff I have ever come across. I should probably just end this review right there, but I will explain a bit more in hopes that it inspires others to take their business elsewhere.
I gave this place one star because....well I have to.....but I do like what they are doing on Wednesday nights, it's a DJ night where there are glowing hula hoops and people can display their art. And I will say that I do understand there are a lot of drunk idiot college kids in Allston that tend to make all bouncers and bartenders turn into terrible people(at age 25 am I already becoming cynical about youth?) , but the complete lack of respect I felt from the bouncer staff was horrendous.
So last night after listening to some great DJs we went out to get some air and smoke with friends before the headliner phutureprimitive went on. For full disclosure I will admit one of my friends was smoking a joint so we went down the block about 80 feet from the bar which originally sparked this drunk guys attention. We had made a few friends at the bar that were joining us, and then this one guy came over who knew a girl we were speaking to. He blew his cigarette smoke into my friends face and looked at the joint and said "are you serious?" My friend was perplexed by this....and just said, "sorry am I bothering you?" and the guy looked at him again and said "there's no way you are getting back into the bar" he repeated this a few times and started walking toward the bar. My friend threw out the joint so as to not start anything, and then walked back over to the bar to try to figure out what was exactly happening since the guy clearly didn't work there. As he started walking over two men came over to him like he was about to start a fight when he simply said he wanted to talk to someone and was confused about what he did. One of the bouncers then SPIT at him, and at this point he decided to walk away. We had all payed $12 to see phutureprimitive, but there was clearly no way we were going back in there. And I really can't imagine all this drama being just because they though my friend was high off of a decriminalized substance, if you went into Wonder bar on a Wednesday for five minutes you'd realize most of the kids are on drugs that are far more illegal.
I DO NOT understand how a business can pay their staff to spit at people with no provocation. Please do not go here unless you want be disrespected and spit at!
