Tavern in the Square

This review is for night time only. I've never ate here. TITS is awesome. I always have a good time here. Its a lively place and the drinks are super cheap (compared to nyc).

TITS is like a hybrid between a sports bar and a club.

Came here to watch the Bruins game last month and really enjoyed myself! The food was way better than I was expecting and the individual TVs in the booths are awesome. It really gets packed in here on Friday/Saturday nights. The line sometimes goes around the corner past Tedeschi!

Service is pretty good even when it's crowded and the prices aren't bad considering how big the portions are. They play their music loud and people even start dancing haha.

I say if you're looking for a good, loud, fun time, TITS is perfect. If you're looking for somewhere more low-key, this is not for you.

After getting a little braver with finding our way around the neighborhood, we ventured down this way, after getting a little tired of Joshua Tree.

We were not disappointed.  This bar is so spacious, we always have plenty of space to get around comfortably, even if it is a little crowded.  They also get super bonus points for having a fully accessible rest room on the top floor that is even marked as such!

The menu is pretty extensive for a sports bar, and the drinks are great!  My favorite is the "Eclipse" beer blend, that is just blue moon with a Guiness floater.  They also have all the seasonal brews, and samplers that we have yet to try.

The food is good, and they are very wiling to accomodate anything you may want to change.  They also have an entire gluten free menu, and when we visited with one of our friends who is on a gluten free diet, the manager came out and discussed our friend's selections when ordering to be sure that all his needs were met!
I am a fan of the truffle tots, and the fish tacos.  and the churros for dessert are totally my weakness.  Sometimes, even if we eat somewhere else, we discuss coming here just for the churros!

Staff is friendly, and recognizes us each time we come in, and they have tons of TV's broadcasting sports and the news, but it's not overly loud or invasive (unless you're there during a game, or peak hours).  I have found this to be a great convenient location to meet up with friends, or casually with colleagues.

They also have brunch that we have yet to try, and seating by the windows (but mostly high tables, so we don't usually sit on this side).  There also is a huge bright room with a bar that would be great for private events.

A++ for Tavern in the Square!  We are so glad we braved Harvard Ave. to see what else was out there
