I live down the street and have been here 3 times - twice for food and a few beers. Â I have not run into the issues that many seem to around inflated tips and bad service, but maybe I've been lucky. Â
Overall, solid place - 3-4 stars. Â It's a sports bar and take it for what it's worth - same with Tavern (although tavern has slightly better food). Â If you're expecting a sports bar with sports bar-like food, that's what you're going to get at BBG and they do a pretty good job.
I gotta say (and this is generic, not necessarily to these reviews) - I love the people who go to a sports bar and expect The Capital Grille. Â These pinheads then get on Yelp and write about it like they're a fine food expert and "gods gift to Yelpers"
It is what it is people - sorry the sports bar doesn't have tar tar and a valet...
Thanks for reading!
Only received two stars because it has an awesome sports bar set up in brighton center. Â Unfortunately the food, service, and drinks have been unbearable in three trips there (three strikes, I'm all done with you). Â I really wanted this place to be good, or at least tolerable because of the location, cool local sports memorabilia decor, and ample televisions. Â Burgers were overcooked hockey pucks that most likely spent a week to a decade in the freezer. Â I waited approximately 15 minutes for a bartender to retrieve me a beer when I was one of three patrons inside the establishment with 2 bartenders on duty. Â Buffalo wings were right out of the tyson frozen foods bag. Â I beg someone with any form of culinary background to take this place over as its location and decor are awesome.
