I came here a few weekends ago for a friend's birthday party. Â It was pretty fun and fairly well priced. Â They have tons of games like beer pong and giant jenga. Â The beer pong area gets pretty crowded and you have a good chance of loosing the balls, so don't swat them away too hard! Â It was a bummer that the skee ball machine wasn't working but we got over it after a few pitchers.
Review Source:I gravitate to this place during UFC fights and football games because sports column fills up to the point you can't move. Other than major sports events, I don't come to Hayter's. Don't know what it is about the place but it doesn't come to the front of my mind when thinking of a bar to go to.
The venue itself is nice and they have all-you-can-eat wings on Monday night which I highly recommend, but other than that...it is a solid, no-frills spot.
this is a little taste of home away from home. Â this is chicago sports bar. Â they play the bears games here and everyone comes dressed in blue & orange (NO, not bronco uniforms). :) Â the menu is fun (yes, it has vienna beef hotdogs) and the atmosphere is a good time. Â i highly recommend it.
Review Source:This is a solid 4 star joint until the LoDo douche-bags roll in late in the night. I wonder if they know how much most people hate them...or do they get off on that? But I digress...
Almost every time I walk into Hayter's there is a small crowd which means lots of space at the bar and prompt service. Drinks are reasonably priced - not college town cheap but not overpriced and under-poured either. They can make most any shot for around $6 which is nice for when you want something a bit off the beaten track.
Games a plenty such as beer pong, foos and skee ball, and this fun game where you slide in your debit card, enter four numbers, push a few buttons and out comes cash money! I always win at that game :-)
I've had a few food items here - pretty good bar fare; just the right touch to help soak up some of the inevitable booze that will be consumed in mass quantities. I've found the employees (including the bouncers) to be polite and attentive yet firm when needed; part of what keeps customers happy - and the location is aces!
This is a great bar to start the night off right with some good drinks, games, munchies what have you. Perhaps this is my new go-to place when the crew can't decide what to do...boom!
Being a gastro pub owner I have high expectations . Hayter's i a place to get good pub food at a decent price . All about sports pubery at its finest great selection of grub small selection of tap beers but they had what I enjoy y . Put this in my Togo to places when intown for some greedy grub
Review Source:Are you ready to Bear Down on football Sundays/Mondays?! This is your spot! Bring your game face, high energy, and your Bears fandom to the best Bears bar in Denver. This is a fantastic sports bar with cheese balls to make your knees quiver. Try anything on their menu, be nice to the beautiful women serving your food, and tip your bartender because this place is well worth a visit!
Review Source:Stopped in here to have my favorite beer, Big Sky Moose Drool, while killing time in the middle of the afternoon. Â It was just after lunch, there were no sports on and it wasn't very busy. Â But the bartender was prompt and polite and was really good about checking up on us.
Looking around, I could tell that this would be a great place to hang out on game day. Â Tons of floor space, lots of tables and TV's, good menu selection and plenty of distractions, e.g. pool, skeeball, shuffleboard, giant Jenga, etc.
I'm sure it's a great place to hang out, especially for the Chicago fans the bar caters to. Â I had a low-key experience, but I'm not about to let my review suffer for it. Â This is a good sports bar.
Beer pong tables, full bar, dance floor, DJ, multiple sports TVs...
The best part? Â It's a Chicago bar.
This meant absolutely nothing on the day that we went because Rockies and Marlins finished their games and the bar was full of each team's fans. Â But it's still nice to know.
The only thing I didn't like about this place was the awkward placement of the tables that made the bar area super crowded.
Cool bar in the mist of a city with cool bars! Â It is a nice, large bar with lots of seating. Â They have giant jenga and many beer pong tables for use! Â All you need to do is buy the pitcher of beer and they will supply the cups and balls and tables! Â Friendly and quick staff. Â Cool name as well!
Review Source:Great location, and jinga. Not like regular sized jenga, but 2 x 4 sized jinga. It's pretty awesome.
Good selection of beers, and if you're a Montana fan, this is a Griz-Cat broadcast location, as well as all the other Griz games. So drink some Moose Drool. It'll put hair on your chest.
Also, they have beer pong tables, skee-ball and the little basketball game (dunno what that's called). So come down, play some games, watch the Griz win. Drink beer. It's good for you.
We were searching for a bar after the Rockies game, two things that drew us to the place was the name and there was a huge W flag signaling us to come in. Â Chicago bar? Â Yes, I will come in. Â
Bartenders were friendly, TV's all around to watch the games and holy hell sweet potato tots. Â Now that makes for a drinking trifecta. Â Jackpot.
I visited Hayter's with my girl friend on Friday night and we had a ton of fun! Â When we first got there at 9 p.m., the place wasn't too busy, so we just sat down and had a couple of drinks (vodka-cranberry for $4 a glass). Â Then a nice group of people invited us to play beer pong with them. Â Cool! Â Then, we danced to some cool hip hop music (there was a live DJ) and ended up dancing with all kinds of fun dudes : )
I liked the atmosphere at Hayter's a lot. Â It is fun and friendly. Â The waitstaff was nice too. Â I loved the beer pong - played two rounds. Â Also, they had Genga (I think that's the name of the game) but we didn't try it. Â And there is also a pool table. Â All in all, it is a cool place to get some drinks, dance and play some fun games. Â My friend and I didn't know anyone there when we got there, but met some cool guys and had a blast! Â I can't wait to get back there again! Â If this helps, my friend and I are both in our 20's. Â I think it's a fun place for 21-40 year olds.
Went here for a fundraiser so big points for that - they were donating a portion of the sales from the nachos, hayterade and gyros to help a young man in need. The Big Ass Nachos were loaded with a ton of cheese and all the fixings including a generous portion of jalapenos. The pink hayterade is definitely sweet and you can also order it frozen. Bonus - when I checked in I had an offer for a free hayterade but since it was a fundraiser I did not take them up on their offer. Definitely a bar for a younger, college, sports loving crowd. Life size Jenga, beer pong tables and other games are offered as well as TV's to catch whatever games are on.
Review Source:Great Friday night special for girls --- $10 stoli for girls. you get a wrist band and a cup and you can get any kind of stoli vodka with any kind of mixer, and you only pay $10. Great great great deal.
My friends and I go here a lot because we like the laid back crowd, and when we have had enough to drink drunk jenga and ski-ball is always fun.
The bar tenders are great, and never snobby.
I've been to Hayter's 3 times; 2 of them were on St. Paddy's Day (crazy crowded) and the night before (not so much). Â 2 out of 3 times, something unusual or quirky has happened there. Â 1st visit, a drunken CU-Boulder girl (yes, I'm not stereotyping; she supplied a name and # and I looked her up the next day; and yes, she was *pret-ty drunk*) found me adorable and started wrapping herself around me and making out with me. Â Uhhhhhhh...ok....sure, why not. :) Â Until her scowling icy friends dragged her off 15 minutes later. [It's ok honey-- we have YouTube footage of it all, you can't deny it happened. :D ] Â (It probably didn't help that someone wrapped a scarf around my head like a turban beforehand...). Â Â 2nd time, a cool mid-30s lady invited my drinking friend and I over to a table where her boyfriend and another couple were at, and we proceeded to eat quite a bit of their food, drink some of their booze (with their blessing), and play crazy giant Jenga with them (2 or 3 tables of this) - crazy because of the suggestions written on the blocks. Â Again...oooooooook.... sure, why not. :) Â 3rd time was St Paddy's Day, and the wildest thing that happened wasn't much -- our female companion that night was proudly boasting how she'd laid the top brick on a very unstable giant Jenga tower...I turned 60 degrees, saw it tilting in back of me, and had time to turn back, flinch, and throw my hand up to block the falling tower bricks. Â Didn't hit me...she, on the other hand, completely not seeing it falling, got the full World Trade Center effect all on top of her head. Â Yipes. O_O Â Bad karma.
They have a very fruity concoction here called Hayterade which tastes like pink lemonade but has booze in it. Â Tasty enough. Â The bartender, when he recalled me from what happened on visit #1 (see, there really was some purpose in me blathering about all that!) started nagging me and saying "Where's the review, where's the review?"...and I told him it was coming -- aaaaaand here it is now, 1 month later. Â See how well nagging works? Â Not very, on me. Â The waitress working with him on my 2nd visit saw the YouTube footage my friend showed her, and thought it was hilarious how obviously wasted the CU girl was. Â [And it was. Â But I'm not putting a link here. :) ]
Service is very good here if it's not St. Paddy's Day; if it is, you'll have to squirm your way between braying college age kids in loud green t-shirts and young ladies squeezed into their tightest dresses with vacant looks on their faces (hey, I'm just callin' it like it was) to patiently wait at the bar 10 mins for your bartender's attention. Â (And you get to introduce various people not in-the-know to the Yelp Mobile app -- and the free Hayterade check-in offer!) Â If it's NOT a drinking holiday, you'll be served promptly and courteously. Â The food here tastes better than standard bar fare food; the bar itself is a better place to watch sporting events than the abysmal Sports Column next door. Â Aaaaaaaaand, as mentioned before, they have giant Jenga -- a few with blocks hollowed into troughs, the better to pour libations down into your date's drunken mouth; the rest with zany, unearthly, and sometimes impossible suggestions written on them in pen or marker. Â I wonder if they ever get sanded down so people can write new suggestions on there... Either way, a fun place...and a place where unexpected stuff can happen, to be sure....I don't hate Hayter's. :)
Hayters is easily the best bar in Denver, just needs other people to realize this as well!
First off, Dudes, wanna take a girl out but not spend a F-ton on her drinks!?! Take her here! You pay 10$ and its all she can drink Stoli drinks from 9-C! Hot damn! Oh and NO COVER! For the most part their drink specials are standard to the downtown scene (with the exception of Tuaca... being a MT bar they forget Tuaca is a CO staple and not exactly considered something that should be pricey)
Also the bartenders actually will take your order and deliver PROMPTLY!! (I know crazy concept!!)
Lol paying cover in DENVER, CO is a COMPLETE JOKE!! Seriously?! We are the Mile High City not Vegas! So huge plus here!
Beer pong is always going on and Friday nights the DJ is rockin it!
Mondays is all you CAN EAT wings for 6.99 and they are delicious!!
My only tiff is it does take a little bit to get the place packed some nights which can be a drag. Grab a seat during a rocks game though and your always in good company!
Keep on rockin it Hayters!
Have been back here multiple times as it's become one of my must stops when I go downtown. Â Never bad service, in fact it's nice seeing the same bar tenders each time I go in. Â Mr. Hayter himself, Jake & Janelle! Â Sign of stability and good people if you ask me. Â I like a place that keeps staff around. Â Plus they pour great drinks. Â Moscow Mule anyone?? Â And $3 Dale's on tap at happy hour? Â Yes please! Â Can't wait for baseball to start again! Â Oh and big thumbs up to the new menu items! Â Shrimp po-boy and italian beef FTW! Â http://haytersandco.com/
Review Source:Came here for lunch and what I learned was:
1) the owners are great people (shout out to Lauren) that treat everyone well;
2) fish tacos as awesome--real filets of fish;
3) all you can eat wings on Monday for 6.99--are you kidding me?
4) hayterade (shot that tastes like gatorade) is delicious; and
5) they have beer pong. Have not yet played here but the face that it is offered is awesome.
If you are going to loDo and want great service and a good time, this is one of my faves along with falling rock tap house. Check it out and be sure to say hi to Lauren.
Great food. Great service. Lots of good beer on tap.
So, for Day 7 of the 12 Drinking Days of Christmas we decended upon Hayters in LoDo. The happy hour crowd here is cool. I was the first to arrive and ended up chatting with the bartender & a dude at the bar. The specials were $3 Drafts/Wells and $4 Hayterade, which I didn't have the guts to try, but enjoyed the Dales.
The food was great. I had a massive burger where the "bun" was 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and my burger was adorned with a fried egg and bacon. Heaven! The fries are really good here as well, nice and crispy. I heard good things around the table about the mac'n'cheese and grilled chicken sandwich.
The service was great. Our bartender was super friendly. When we moved over to a table, our server was totally nice about us moving tables 3 different times, ha ha. And, she was right on top of our separate checks, yay.
The one down side here was the live music. Usually, I am all for it, but this is a small place and there isn't really anywhere to get away from it and talk with your table. We went to the far end and were still drowned out. It was set up more like a concert than live music in a bar. I'll avoid those nights in the future.
Beware, parking on this street is a little tricky. There are a few music venues here, so they "hood" the parking meters so that the bands can park close & unload. It can be frustrating.
Also, boo for Ladies night being Wells-only. I'm a beer girl myself, so I have to say the best free drinks for ladies night still belongs to Brauns a couple blocks away. But, other than that, this is a great spot and I will definitely be back.
Went for a chilled Friday evening with friends. The sweet potato tots and cheese curds were to die for and BBQ chicken nachos an interesting twist. The husband had never played beer pong so we gave it a go. It was great to enjoy the game without being crowded and after 2 games we had free wild turkey whiskey drinks. Very fun atmosphere and not filled with hipsters...a bonus on my book for the neighbourhood.
Review Source:Once again, this was hit up on a Sunday night after the GABF had just finished the day prior. So I think there was about 8 ppl in this establishment counting the bartenders.
Another potential bar, even more so after I checked the website and saw beirut. Anyhow, like the previous Yelpers....go with a group this is a hangout joint. It's built for large gatherings and drunken libations. Perfect for after the ballgame crowds. Not so much on a dead night.
We played some darts and had a drink and moved on.
Finally a decent bar in this spot. Public House sucked, Lizards sucked, but this place is pretty fun. Great Chicago bar, always a good crowd for Cubs and Bears games, gotta love it. I've also been here for a couple of private theme parties my friend hosted, which offered great drink specials. Love their specialty shot selection too.
Review Source:Ah yes, good times can be had in the LoDo scene! I like to go here early for their drink specials, before the crowd arrives. They have a nightly ladies special (after 9 all u can drink Stoli for $10, and free wells on Thursday after 9). Plus always $2 PBR cans and old style.
Their website is awesome, they even proclaim their mutual love of Yelp! Personally, me & my friends like the beer pong, skee ball and the basketball game. I have never eaten there or stayed and danced, as I am not into that scene.
I like the set up, out front you can smoke and/or people watch and the bathrooms are always well kept. Once is gets late night and it becomes a challenge to get a drink at the bar, that is my signal to move on. But, no one ever objects in my group of picky friends to stoppin by for a few drinks! I have had many a fun night here and anticipate more!
Very clean, friendly, and welcoming spot for both the lunch crowd. For me, it's become sort of a watering hole during the workweek. Here's why:
- Tons of space to accommodate large parties if I needed to
- Â It's not busy at all during lunch time (for some reason), so you get quick service and food
- Their food ain't half bad. I've enjoyed most of the stuff on their menu from the burgers to the fish tacos
- Affordable
- No college crowd unless it's late night or game time
Again, I'm rating it based on my experience during the off-hours and it might be a little more nuts during other hours. But for now, it's been working out quite nicely. Cheers, Hayter's!
Hayter's and Co is the way to GO! For the LODO area, this place is where it's at. Great staff, great food, and of course great drinks!! My personal favorite burger is the Blake Street Bomber, but if you want munchies, get the chicken nachos, with jalapenos. Life changing! Although there are beer pong tables everywhere which may give off the impression that it's a college bar, the crowd of people in there is always a blast. The owners are mass cool, down to earth. And so are the bartenders. Go Jake & Janelle! =) Absolutely great place! Show em some LOVE!
Review Source:It is definitely for a younger crowd with all the beer pong tables. There is a dj and several tv screens to watch some sports. I didn't have any food but did have the $3 Svedka drinks...there was also a special $10 all-you-can-drink Stoli...not sure if that is a normal Sat night special. There is a $10 minimum on all credit cards.
Review Source:First of all, DO NOT come here unless you are in college or going with a group of friends as that's all that was in there. Â There are like 8 beer bong tables everywhere and tons of drunk college aged ppl.
I would normally give this a lower score but I knew what I was walking into when I went in but just wanted to try it out since I'm new to Denver. Â The staff were still nice and I could totally see myself having fun there when I was in my early 20s but being in my early 30s, I felt like I needed to get out.
A girlfriend of mine recommended this place for some Friday night drinks. This is a great place for a good time. Had a couple drinks, couple shots. Needed some food to soak that up and went with friends suggestions and we ordered some burgers. The Blake Street Bomber which is grilled peppers, onion, brown sugar ham, with a fried egg and white cheddar (pictured). Also got the Bronco Burger with vodka BBQ sauce, bacon, caramelized onions and cheese. These were some F***ing amazing burgers. We cut them all in quarters and shared them among the table. They were amazing!
Place also had a DJ playing good music. Nice array of games to play, pool, beer pong - whats your pleasure?
Best girls night deal around - Pay a $10 flat rate after 9pm for all the Stoli you can drink. HOW MUCH CAN YOU DRINK??
I will be back.
This large immaculate yet welcoming sports bar features exceptionally friendly and attentive service.
The biggest surprise is the excellent food. Definitely a cut above typical bar fare. My wife had a beef gyro: she raved! I had a bacon mushroom cheeseburger that was gourmet.
Top that off with excellent happy hour deals and some off the hook promotions (One night, women get free well drinks all night) and you've got a place that stands above many of its competing neighbors.
These guys are new, show 'em some love!
They've got a ton of pretty sweet nightly deals. $10 pitchers, etc.
I have sweet potatoes, they're gross. Even sweet potato fries (I LOVE fries) are gross. HOWEVER they make sweet potato tots, and they're awesome!!!! They give a nice coating of sugar and cinnamon, and give you honey to dip them in. Sweet boneless christ they're good. I mentioned I hate sweet potatoes right?
They're a great group of guys, and the food is awesome. The Mac-n-cheese (made with 90 Schilling) has bacon!
THe bartender was a great guy, as we were chatting we mentioned a drink we like, made with Whipped Cream Vodka and Orange Soda. He didn't have the Vodka, but did his best to create the right flavor. He didn't hit the mark, but it was fun experimenting with him.
For my friends who are Ohio State fans, they play the games, so you don't have to shoe horn yourself into Crocs
Large location, Monday night food ball $10 craft beer pitchers and sweet potato tater tots!
We saw this location when it was Iguana's and never visited, this time we wanted help a new local bar succeed so we popped in to check it out on a monday.
It was happy hour, which was pretty good. We tried the french fries - not bad, the mac n cheese - it was ok, heck it had bacon, and it was huge, but not sure i'd try it again, but the most awesome tasty tid bit was the sweet potato tater tots - first off tater tots rock anywhere, but when they are made out of sweet potatoes... Â Hell yeah!
They give you the option of ranch or honey for dipping. I liked the ranch, hubby liked the honey. So ask for both! Â :)
Great big bar, lots of tables, tons of TV's and they are a big Ohio State fan bar, so all the games will be shown.
Friendly owner/manager and bar tenders!
Keep a local bar going, stop in and have a beverage!
