This is a review for the bar experience only. If you're in your early 30s and you want to go to a bar/lounge that isn't too pretentious or too divey, and somewhere where you can sit (on a couch nonetheless), hear what your friends are saying, and feel the cool breeze of AC on you -- this is for you. Hoping this bumps up the rating! It's a great spot.

Ok I'm not sure why entirely, but I just think this place is really funny. It's an alright restaurant, a relaxed place to grab a drink on a week night, and then a pretty happenin party on the weekends. With couches and a name that is a noun that I use pretty often when in my apartment.

It's a fun place to hang at, the food isn't the best, so maybe eat elsewhere. Living Room has outdoor patio seating, is close to the water and the North End eateries, and is a stone's throw away from Faneuil.

    Classier than most

The Living Room isn't your average Boston bar. It certainly isn't Fenway/Red Sox-style or a hole in the wall and it also isn't the Oak Room. It is somewhere in-between. It caters to the young professionals, which is a nice change from the majority of places around town (which are dominated by the 21-24 year olds). It is located close to the North End, by the water, which is a nice location, and even has some outdoor seating, which you could be lucky to get. When I've gone, I sat inside in the ""living room-style"" area on couches and cushy stools. The martinis are their specialty and they have at least 30 on their menu ranging from the Butterfinger to the North End Cosmo. The drinks are very good. The bar has a nice classy atmosphere, while retaining the casualness of Boston in general (Boston, being not very upscale as a whole)

Came here for my sisters bachelorette for dinner and all the food was awful. The artichoke dip tasted like gravy and my veggie pocket looked like tuna fish. The drinks were overly strong and they assigned one waitress for a party of 15 along with another table of 15. We waited and they messed up our orders. I waited 20 minutes for a garden salad. We also had to request drink menus. Will never come here again.

Location is nice but otherwise avoid this place!! Food is awful, drinks taste overly sweet - that gross puckers taste - service is incredibly slow.

The place was recommended by a pedicab driver for 30+ not looking for a club scene but a chilled place to hang on Friday evening.

Glad we took his recommendation.  The place was busy but not super crowded (think we got there around 10pm).

The bartender greeted and took our drink order relatively fast.  Reasonable prices and decent music.

Went to The Living Room for a bachelorette party. The staff at the door was very welcoming, but the indoor greeters and servers were just...meh. The atmosphere was pretty cool. We were seated at a table, but I'd love to come back and check out the couch area.

The food wasn't anything special, and they were really weird about special orders and substitutions. That, and the fact that it was almost impossible to get a water refill, lead me to believe that this issue was just lame customer service.

The bartender made a mean Absolut & cranberry, but I think that they use UV for a lot of their "signature drinks", which totally degrades the quality.

Definitely worth giving them another shot in the future.

My experience at the Living Room was totally bizarre.  I got the sense their concept was not clearly defined.  For example, there were a few large sofas in the "lounge" that took up a lot of space and really did not accomodate couples.  At one point, there were 2 people occupying two large sofas. Its rather uncomfortable to have to share a sofa with other people, particularly when you want to be cozy with your mate. It would've been better to have comfy single arm chairs.

As to the menu....what a disappointment.  The options were very basic food that you can find at any pizza or fast food joint.  In a sea of awesome restaurants in Boston, an establishment has to have an edge.  The Living Room does not have one.  The decor is beautiful, but the place appears to be begging for fresh, exciting, and tasty food options.

I ordered their cheese stuffed chicken parmesan.  I ended up with 2 giant pieces of fried chicken breast with some soft cheese spread in between, with lots of spaghetti sauce.

Service was good, and the hostesses were very friendly.

Finally, the menu had a note that said that "a $10 minimum is required if seated in the dining room".  in my view, this diminishes the restaurant.  I would say that if you order a drink and/or an appetizer, you would probably meet that minimum, so there is no need to have it on the menu.

Great atmosphere. Good service. The mini pulled pork sandwiches came on fresh wheat rolls with just the right amount of barbecue sauce and were not fatty at all. The curly fries were crisp and right out of the fryer. A very tasty experience that I shared on a couch with my sweetie. I'd come back when I'm in the area to try more of their offerings.

Came for dinner with some girlfriends and had Alexa as a server. She was phenomenal; super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. The shrimp and scallop pasta was very tasty and my friend enjoyed the chicken broccoli ziti. Definitely will be back!

Does every stop on your bar-hop or pub-crawl look, feel, sound and smell too much like a bar or pub? Are they a little bit short of the elbow-room you need to hear, be heard, and not get hoarse in your cocktail conversations? Is the sports tube too in-your-face to get face-to-face with your fellow pubbers?

Just check out The Living Room, a rare breed of the bar that's not like a bar in Boston. Although the bar counter and TV options are still there, the sofas, easy chairs and low tables make the ambiance feel just like its name. I really enjoyed having a round-table discussion with a Meetup group here; we could hear each other without having to talk over a brouhaha of beeraholics or snake through a cacophonous crowd of conversational competitors. I truly felt at home in The Living Room. The waitstaff certainly made me feel that way -- always helpful, friendly and prompt with your food and drinks, with no pressure to order more than your budget allows.

And what a location! When you want a breath of fresh air, go right across Atlantic Avenue to Christopher Columbus Park, down the Ave. to the Rose Kennedy Greenway, or across the Greenway to shopping and entertainment galore in Faneuil Hall Marketplace. None of the terror and travail of going down a dark alley after your big bar binge here. Open space everywhere, inside and outside The Living Room. And yes, great drinks, apps and entrees!

Live it up in The Living Room -- where your happy hour is truly happy!

First and foremost, they were open during Nemo, or whatever you want to call the blizzard of 2013.  Open and welcoming and cooking food and pouring beer.

The Living Room is sort of a tale of two places.  On weeknights, or afternoons, and quiet times, it's comfy, with couches and pleasant areas to sit, windows looking out on the park and the harbor.  On weekends, well, it's not my type of place.

Anyway, the other day, having stumbled across the North End exploring the fast-developing blizzard, we noticed that they were open and immediately realized it was perfect--couches, windows, fireplace, booze.  Sure enough, we settled in comfortably, and the waitstaff (owner? manager? whichever employees lived within walking distance?) acted like it was a normal night.  They've got an okay draft list, with several good beers on it, although it could have used a meaty stout or two on a wintry day.  We ordered some nachos with pulled pork on them which were very tasty and substantial.  It's not the cheapest place in the world, but it's not too bad, either.

i don't know if i'll return regularly, but i know that next time there's a blizzard, it will be my first stop.

I love the living room for brunch. Being hungover and being able to lay on a couch, order awesome drinks, and be served breakfast food is probably the best thing ever. It is one of the few places that is good for large groups for brunch. The waitresses are always fun and patient no matter how annoying we are, there are usually a few people who are still feeling the drinks from the night before. The breakfast is defiantly average but the couches and drinks are really what you go for. Did I mention the drinks yet? They are the type that makes having one drink at brunch turn into a full day of sunday funday. I have also been here at night and it reminds me more of a lounge. Defiantly wasn't filled with underage college kids it had a trendy vibe and was fun! A place I def need to go back to on a Friday or Saturday.

I've been coming to the living room for years. But after two or three times being told they were OUT of WINGS on a night with a WING special, I almost completely wrote them off. Until last Monday night for the National Championship game! They really got my vote back. Honestly impressed with some GREAT $0.35 wings and solid bar tending.  Perfect place to watch a football game again.  Not sure what changed but keep it up and we'll keep coming back!

Do you have a "living room?"  You do now!
(I used to call the couch my bedroom...)

This is a cool concept place for drinks.
I came for their Halloween party this year,
but I didn't care for the DJ, or the music.
It was SO LOUD, you had to S C R E A M to be heard.
We all had cool, original costumes,
and wanted to discuss them & meet people.
We stayed all night, but did not master the art
of telepathic communication...and went home alone.

So I generally do not write reviews, but felt it was important to write about my experience at The Living Room this past Saturday night. A large group of friends and I had reservations for a friend's surprise party. Upon getting to the door, the hostess was not only rude to us, but one of the least helpful members on staff. As people started to arrive, she even brought over some guests, who were not in our party, saying that this is where the surprise party was.

Next, our waitress started out the night being very attentive but her attention went downhill once the place got busy. It is clear this place is short staffed, as it took us close to an hour to get our order. When placing our order, we also requested appetizers, which came halfway through our actual dinner. When we told waitress that she could send the apps back, seing as we were practically done with our meal, she was pretty pissed about it.

Finally, the icing on the cake was the fact that gratuity had not originally added to the first bill we received. Knowing we were a large party, we had planned on adding it to our receipts when we noticed that the staff had secretly added the tip on, without notifying us or posting it on the original bill. This seemed like a seriously sketchy move in order to get a higher tip.

While the ambience is nice here, the drinks are just OK and the food could be better. I can see going here in my college days, but as an adult, it seems like a waste of my money.

The GOOD: There is no cover!! Wasn't very corwded. Good mix of different people.

The BAD: Music not so much to talk about. Its awful. There's no transitioning into the different songs and at time I stood there thinking what's the reason for choosing that song. It was a hodge-podge things that didn't fit well.

Great place for a private party!

We hosted an Engagement Party here for 75 people last Saturday night in their VIP Room. First let me say that the owner was so accommodating and easy to work with; he helped with the food and beverage selection, making suggestions -not pushy - really interested in making our party a success.

We chose to serve appetizers and drinks, a stationary table of cheese and fruit and a coffee and dessert table. Their private party menu is huge and you can order whatever you like.  All of our guests loved the tuna on wonton, southwestern eggrolls, deluxe sliders, crab cakes... can't remember them all.

Service was fantastic- Hors d's were passed by servers and there were also servers taking drink orders- no one had to wait for something to eat or drink. Valet parking was available which was great for my guests. Prices are very reasonable!!

Bottom line- I wanted to go to a place where I didn't have to arrange for flowers or tablecloths or music - I just wanted to throw a party for my friends because after all I still have the wedding to make!

This was a great place and all of my friends had an amazing time!

    i swear i wrote a review...

    3 1/2 stars.

Music sucks...what a waste of good dj equipment. It's a cool place to chill though... very comfy couch atmosphere. Besides the fact at the end the bf said the server threw the check down and she didn't really check on us. After 11 pm it kinda goes dead cause all those people who came from work..obviously goes home and preps for another lovely day of work.

A friend of mine wanted to have her birthday dinner here, and I had never been, so I was excited to check it out. The Living Room seems like a cool idea - a nicely decorated establishment with couches everywhere! It seemed lounge-y and moderately upscale from the photos online. The ambiance doesn't disappoint - the lighting was right and the lounge areas are available, with plenty of room at the bar as well.

Taking a look at the menu is a little disappointing - paninis, burgers, all the expected entrees (Chicken broccoli alfredo? Wait...is this the Olive Garden?) I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta - nothing special, the scallops were not fresh and not prepared very well, but it wasn't terrible. For $21 I expected better. Their drink menu is large, with choices that range from classics like Manhattans and gin martinis to Mike's Hard Limeade. Girly, sweet martinis take up a lot of the menu. They weren't bad, but at $12-$14 a pop, I'd had much higher expectations. I had the watermelon martini, and I enjoyed it but it wasn't worth the price. It was all very overpriced for what it was. Olive Garden quality at double the price.

As for the service, it was a little odd. I don't know if the waitress was new, but she seemed like she was. She was nice enough, but not as present as I would've liked. We were in a group of 12 and 4 of our party were a little late for the 7:30 reservation. We'd expected someone to come greet us and offer to get us some drinks while we waited for the rest of the party, but no one did. I had to get up and ask the hostess (who was hard to find) to send someone over to our table. Once the whole party arrived, we ordered apps (pulled pork mini sandwiches were totally underwhelming, but others ordered spinach and artichoke dip and seemed to love that.) and we'd finished them but no one cleared away our plates. So, dinner came and the table was totally crowded with plates that should've been bused away. When we finished dinner, no one cleared away those plates either! So we were stuck chatting and sipping the last of our drinks over a table of dirty, half-eaten entrees and appetizers. Weird.

Overall, it wasn't a BAD experience, but I won't be going back. If I'm going to spend $70 on a meal, I just expect a tad bit more quality and attention.

I go here because they do two things that many other bars do not:

    1) they don't have a cover (at least I've never been here when they have, I think they do for holidays maybe?)

    2) they have at least one beer on tap that is relatively cheap (coors lite in this case).  These are both areas where I am quick to judge whether I will frequent a bar and this place passes - 4 stars.

The living room is removed from the faneul area.  It is technically in the north end, but it is kind of in it's own little area.  This may be why it can be dead at times, usually during the week.  I should mention that they frequently allow private events during the week, which can be very uncomfortable when everyone there is part of the same group.  I would otherwise say only go during the week when you can get couch seats and relax, but beware of private party potential.  It can also get quite bust at times on the weekend, as expected with most bars in the area.

While I have never been here when there is a cover, there can be obnoxious lines.  I have even experienced the fake line here.  This is where a bouncer will make a line despite the bar being 1/4 full to create the illusion that it is a popular place.  A practice I deteste, but one that unfortunately occurs in the area.  As I mentioned earlier I do believe they have a cover for holidays (new years, etc.), so beware.

The food here is actually decent.  Nothing great, but everything does seem to have that little something extra that generic bar food doesn't.  I have mostly only had their apps.  While the food is generally expensive, it is similar to others around faneul, and they have 1/2 price apps on weekdays from 4-6.  I would recommend going for the 1/2 price apps.

I think the goal of the place is to be a martini bar.  They have a martini list with monthly martini specials.  What really made me think they're going for the martini bar thing is the vat of ice with upside down martini glasses to the left when you walk into the main bar area.  I have never actually seen this vat being used though, and it is a little wierd.

As I mentioned, I usually get coors lite, which is $2.50 here (good barful responsibility).  However, there have been more than a few times when they are out of the coors lite.  It is quite obnoxious when they are because the walk to another bar can be cold during the winter.  I give them the benefit of the doubt and maintain they are idiots when it comes to ordering.  They must sell more coors lite than anything else and can't figure out to order a lot of it.

Others have the theory that they intentionally "run out" (meaning they didn't really run out for those who couldn't figure out the quotes) of coors lite when it is busy thinking that people will stay and order a more expensive beer.  If this is the case then they deserve the vengeful wrath of yelpers, but I am not convinced.  Seriously though, they need to get there coors lite ordering act together.

The coors lites come in frosted glasses.  Now I enjoy a frosted glass as much as the next guy, but the glasses should be relatively dry before they are frosted.  The glasses are frozen right after they are taken out of the sanitizer here when they are still wet (many places actually do this).  While this creates ice that keeps the beer cold longer, it is sanitizer water ice - this is gross.  Watching used sanitizer ice melt at the top of your beer is not the best look (again get it together with the coors lites).

The crowd here is inconsistant during the week, it usually isn't busy enough for there to be a type.  On the weekends it generally attracts collar wearing types and north end skirts (slightly older than the faneul crowd and a little less sticky).  Earlier in the night there can be business types and cougars.  The cougars generally sit at the bar and sip on wine or a martini, if that is your thing.  Many also make identification very easy by actually wearing leopord print (much appreciated, it avoids uncomfortable mistakes).

It can get dark, which may not necessarily be a bad thing.  Some things are best seen in dim lighting.  The music can get odd.  The volume and music selection seems to be all over the place.  They have mint m&ms in a bowl by the entrance.  They used to come in packs of 2, now they are 1.  There is a fish tank.

Overall there really isn't anything I can complain about with this place.  They are barfully responsible, there isn't a cover, the food is alright, and they have 1/2 price apps.  Worthy of 4 stars.

Despite having a terrific location, at the edge of the North End, adjacent to Columbus Park and the waterfront, this place feel short of meeting my expectations while there for a friend's birthday.

We walked in and proceeded to make our way into our reserved area for the birthday party. The waitress arrived almost immediately and we placed a few orders for drinks. I decided to start by having a beer or two and so far all was well. We sat down, chatted and I immediately noticed a few things:

    - The A/C unit wasn't really running and it was getting pretty stuffy and warm in there
    - The music was absoultely horrendous. It was like being in a trashy NJ club but when looking around, the ambiance said otherwise since it was more of a bar/lounge
    - Our waitress disappeared numerous times for what seems to be 30 minutes at a time; trying to get her attention or service was difficult as she was very elusive
    - The drinks were both mediocre and overpriced as were the appetizers (most were $10+)

That being said we were quite comfortable in the couch area and we had plenty of room. It wasn't too noisy in there as well which was nice but everything was very average at best but the prices indicated otherwise. This left us with bitter feeling as the entire staff came off as pretentious like they were doing us a favor. I don't think that I'd return here again but unfortunately options are limited in the area.

Add to the fact that their beer selection isn't all that great and that their cocktails aren't mixed properly and either too strong, too sweet or too icy and that's enough for me to say no thanks. No thanks.

I like the space and had no qualms with the bar service, but the music selection is downright laughable. Whether it was Cotton Eye Joe or RESPECT that cleared the floor, I can't be bothered to recall.

If you're desperate to relive every awkward middle school dance in your life armed with the social indifference of adulthood, this is the place to hit up on a Saturday night.

went here just for drinks with friends from out of town. Music was fun- martinis were yummy and loved the idea of the couches to sit on .
Down side? hmmm- it was a little warm in there and there weren't a lot of people- probably just trying to get the temps right.
We were there on a Friday evening
    Would bring friends back again.:)

After taking my girl for a lovely dinner, we were taking a walk around the area scoping out a quiet outdoor place for coffee and desert.  We came across The Living Room and should have kept walking towards the Bedroom... even the Bathroom would have served us better.

    Its very simple...

    1. When patrons enter, you kindly greet them.  Instead, a couple of busboys (whom I thought were the waiters) were dumbstruck at the idea that I would be asking them for a table for two kindly respond "haha dude ahhhhh I don't know ahhhh I'm not a waiter ahhh (burp) she is over there dude."

Anyway here's how it ended up and you can determine the rest for yourself:

    2. We finally get seated.
    3. We order 2 coffees and 2 individual deserts (one ice cream sandwich, the other apple crisp).
    4. Coffees took 15 minutes.
    5. No silverware, another couple minutes.
    6. No sugar or milk 5 minutes.
    7. Deserts finally came and were frozen solid, the first time I got a head rush from eating apple crisp!
    8. I mean the list can go on and you get the point...

If you decide to go, I hope you have a much better experience and I hope this was just one of their "off" days.  I however will not be coming back.

Not exactly a ultra lounge or swanky place.
    Kinda toned down and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There is outdoor seating but no smoking outside.

So... The Living Room is more like a funeral parlor.  Just saying.  Nice concept, poor execution.  The bar and staff just totally ruin this place.  It's a shame because it could actually be a fun place with some changes.

Tried it once on a Saturday night for drinks and the service was pretty bad.  It took forever for our drinks to come and there was some mix-up cashing out where they brought us someone else's tab and the waitress disappeared for an eternity to fix it.  Not sure what happened, if she took an impromptu trip to Guam or fell down and was concussed but after a while she finally brought us the right check.

I went back again for Sunday brunch and it was empty -- I'm talking there were maybe six people in there -- yet some how the service was even worse.  You must suck pretty hard if you offer bad service on a busy night and even poorer service on an empty morning.  It would've been nice if our waitress was more in to doing her job than socializing with a table of friends.  I realize not everyone actually understands what 'work' means, but...   2 stars for you Living Room.

I would have given this place 3 stars because I HATE VODKA and This is a strictly Vodka bar. -.-;;; But there's more too it...

1st of all... way to break my heart and step all over it. The waitress pulled out the champaign BRUNCH menu just so I could participate in the festivities. Also, they serve THE CRAPPIEST dark liquor known to the 617 and I can't understand why.  You are a classy lounge... ditch the Captain Morgan rum.  You couldn't even find and Jack in the building if you tried! The drinks were SUPER disappointing and I would have given the lounge 3 stars if it were not for the decor and the 'mood.'

But regardless, the mood is super schwanky and sexy.  There's a full bar and lounge when you walk in and the large couches are perfect for meeting new people and flirting around.  There's also a large dining room in the back that was super empty when I was there before it's strictly for dinner. They also have THE BEST music to just chill to and a little area in the back to dance and socialize in.

The food there is 'American,' which I am not a fan of... but in all fairness... the spinach dip and apple crisp was off the chain and my family literally licked the plate clean. Everything is made SUPER fresh and the whip cream was magical.

All in all, it has great dark corners to 'associate' with people and a good settling to meet people. If you're trying not to go home alone, this is a perfect 'hunting' zone.

I am giving this a fourth star because we went on a Monday and it was SUCH A DEAL.  All appetizers are half priced from 4-7pm and Coors light run a cool $2.50.  Also, the appetizers are quite the portions, so four of us enjoyed three plus two beers each and walked out of there stuffed and happy for $11 each!  Not bad for a Monday night.  We ordered the calamari, spinach and artichoke dip and southwestern egg rolls and all three were delicious and satisfying.  I even saw other stuff I wanted to order - great starter menu.

Also because it was a Monday, we easily got a couch and table and could really enjoy ourselves because there was barely anyone in the place.

In the end, I'm not sure I would come here to mingle or really any other night of the week, but for a Monday, you better believe I'll return.  Great time to come and kick back with friends without breaking the bank.

Unfortunately, my friends and I decided to spend New Years Eve at The Living Room.  After paying over $200 for entrance, mediocre food and one glass of champagne, an EMPLOYEE (bartender) of this establishment actually screamed obscenities at my party.  Why?  Because we asked her to shut the door while we waited in line for the ladies room.  She was holding the door open, letting in frigid air so that she and her friends could smoke cigarettes and weed.  While working.

After being called every name under the sun, I notified a hostess who did nothing about it.  When I went to order a drink, the bartender scowled, whispered and pointed at us.  When I emailed the manager the next day, he promised a prompt resolution.  29 days later, he finally emailed to say that nothing would be done.  NOTHING.

I am not expecting a lot but really?  When I drop a decent amount of money I expect yummy food and a fun time.  Not bland, boring food and to be screamed at in public.

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. It is a waste of your money for horrible service, no parking, mediocre food and overpriced drinks.

    STAY AWAY!

I like to go to the Living Room to drink.
Not sure I would ever eat here.  Should I?

I don't advise sitting on the couches late night because either you'll likely be molested or fall asleep and then be touched inappropriately (okay I made that up).  However, they are very comfy and waitresses will bring you drinks.  How do waitresses find the people who ordered from them so effectively??  Not counting when you're sitting on a couch.  Amazing.

It's a decent size and people don't seem to hang around the bar too much since there are two excessive support columns blocking it, so ordering a drink is pretty easy.

I think I find the drink selections slightly meager, so I usually opt for a Makers and Coke or a G&T.  Something simple, but something that will throw me over the edge.

After reading through every single one of these reviews, I went here with two friends for dinner last night. I had a decently-priced hard cider and the grilled chicken parm. A word to the wise: if you do get the chicken parm, get it in the sandwich, not the wrap. I, unfortunately, got it in a wrap form, hoping to avoid unnecessary mess on my face. It tasted like they forgot the sauce and the cheese, basically grilled chicken in a tortilla wrap. Also, the wrap itself was soggy on the bottom, like they had heated it up in the microwave but not put a paper towel between it and the plate (I have quite enough experience microwaving hot pockets to forgo this amateur mistake).

On the plus side: the shoestring fries were amazing.

Both my friends liked their meals: the warm turkey club and the chicken parm (on a sandwich!). Our waitress really couldn't care less about our table. And here's a funny sidenote: one of my friends ordered a coke, and it tasted funny so she told our waitress, to which the waitress replied, "Oh yeah! We get all our fountain soda from city soda, so it tastes awful - I have to bring my own diet coke cans to work when I come! Haha!" SERIOUSLY? Wouldn't this have been more appropriate to tell us before she ordered the drink?

I really couldn't understand all the reviews criticizing the atmosphere of this place, until I went. What the hell are they trying to do there? Like the others say, it's full of loud yuppies blowing off steam after a hard day at Johnny Whatsitscompany. One man in particular was the loudest man I've seen in quite some time, apparently already drunk at 7 pm, looking about 35-40 in age, and probably should have just went home to his wife and kids.

Living room, I will not be back.

A word to the wise (notice I do not say FROM the wise...eh?)

Come here on a random night of the week, after you'd already had dinner and are just looking to chill and have a few **more** drinks. This is how I came about the Living Room...pleasantly full from a spectacular meal with nothing on the agenda except some more imbibing and conversation.

It was pretty dead (i.e., no fools, loud drunken people, or snarky suit types)...just a few folks lounging around on the couches and sitting at the bar. The music was awful, but at optimal volume for conversation that could still be considered intimate. No shouting...no whispering. Jussssst right.

There's a beautiful fish tank inset on one wall. The couches are so comfortable I could have fallen asleep right there. A random guy at the bar bought us shots...we were some of the last people in there at closing time. The Living Room provided a nice, random wrap-up to a great evening.

I'm not sure where all the favorable reviews are coming from for this place. I was there last Saturday and I didn't get the "ooh this place rocks" vibe at all.

Drink prices were alright, I guess. $4 for a bud light isn't too alarming. The staff was pleasant, aside from the airhead bartender who couldn't figure out the total of four $1 dollar bills. I was with a bachelorette party and we were there to party, drink and spend money.

However, the SCREAMING, SQUEALING "regular" girls that were swarming around, jumping on different guys were unbearable. Over tan, over-boobied, overrated plastic girls who know everyone, only because they probably go to the Living Room every weekend and have slept with the bouncers.

Also, I had the pleasure of watching a bald meathead and his equally bald friends yell, "I need to get laid tonight! I don't care who the bitch is."

It was then I made my exit. The outside seating was nice and chill.

I get that this probably isn't my usual scene on an average night, but now I reminded why I stopped going to places like these... ummm.. about five years ago.

Comfy loveseats and couches, a warm fireplace, and a big screen TV-sound like your BFF's house? It's the living room! Totally fabulous, the LR is my "never fail" place, especially for these cold winter nights!

The cosmos are unique, the appetizers affordable, and the crowd very chill. If you can't make it for drink nights, they do a pajama brunch on Sundays!

Perhaps a downside- the place closes at 1am.

A decent little joint, kind of an odd setup with couches, bar tables and a backroom for the restaurant.  The service was meh and less attentive as the evening went on.  We experienced a half hour wait or more between rounds of drinks.

Trivias on Tuesday when we were there, which was fun.  Crowd was mixed and mainly large groups, so if you're going it alone looking for singles yah might wanna look else where.

Bar tender or waiter screwed up my buddys Dirty Martini, never knew dirt could be crystal clear!

The ambiance here doesn't remind me much of a living room. The space is a little too dark, and not very intimate. I'd be more apt to call it the bar with lots of comfy seating. As for the food, I can definitely get much better served up in front of the big screen tv in my own living room. We sampled from 7 different apps, and none were remarkable. The entrees were all also very average.

One redeeming quality - the martinis were very tasty. I'd recommend the French, the Espresso and the Vanilla Bean - all ranked the highest after being taste-tested amongst our large table of 18. Though I doubt that's enough to bring any of us back to The Living Room.

Food is nothing special. If I was planning to stay there the whole night then I'd eat there again.

I like this space. Somewhat loungey without the pretentiousness. Basically like the name, it feels somewhat like a living room (if you can get one of the couches). Decent drinks and reasonable prices. They do need a better light  beer selection. Now that I am into the light beers, I'd prefer the Sam Adams light which they don't serve. Or other more flavorful light beers. No bud, coors, miller please.

I feel a bit out of it there as it does not have a very diverse crowd. Could be just me.
