Pretty good gyro's. Made right in front of you. I had a hard timing seeing exactly where it was located, the sign isn't very prominent. But definitely go and check it out: cheap, good, simple.
P.S. I ate here a few months ago, unaware if it's still around or not.

I went looking for it  but I think it's closed now :( giving it four stars without eating because I don't want to degrade the good stars given by the others. I just never got to experience it

I absolutely love these gyros. Best I've ever had.  They are stacked and the hot sauce makes them delicious, especially late-nite. (Hmm... Maybe that's why I like them so much.). Keep this guy in business.

What can I say about Marko's Gyros? I've had good gyros in my life but never for five dollars and never past midnight. Markos transcends the typical late night vendor by serving consistently quality food. The pitas are always warm and soft, the chicken or lamb (your choice) is always marinated to perfection, and the tzatziki sauce is a creamy delight. And when asked if you want hot sauce the answer should always be yes unless you suffer from an ulcer or some other stomach ailment. This hole in the wall serves only gyros but soda and water is available for a dollar. A stop at Markos is always a good idea if you're in Mt. Lookout from 9 pm to 3 am, and would even be worth a late night road trip if you're yearning for a gyro.

Something about the lunar alignment that makes gyros taste delicious at 1 am... yea, that's it.  Well, upon further review, (no lunar alignment to worry about *cough*sober*cough*)  I realized these actually are really good gyros, and without mythos to give me my fix, these are some of the better Gyros in the east side.  (I know nothing of the west side, I've heard stories, but this is my review, not yours)  Marko is a nice guy, even gave me some suggestions on how to cook the gyro meat that I have in the freezer, we'll see if his story holds up.

Markos used to have a gyro food truck, but now the city's finest gyro has moved indoors right next to Mt. Lookout Tavern. They generally don't really have set hours but are likely open 9:00 until late Tuesday- Saturday evenings. Also open for lunch Saturday and Sunday from 11-2. The place is gritty looking, and dimly lit. Perfect for the intoxicated individuals who are stumbling home from a late night of fun in the square. Markos offers regular Gyros, Chicken Gyros and Vegetarian items for $5. I highly recommend checking this spot out if your looking for a different late night post-drunk bite in the Mt. Lookout area.
